Guts, after wandering around Konoha for a while, finally returned home.

Just as he sat down to relax his mind, a voice echoed in his head, a voice he knew all too well.

[Unlocked Second Template Character: Issei Hyoudou (DxD) — Completion: 0.5%]

Guts froze for a moment.

Then, his expression darkened.

"…It's this guy?" he muttered, eyes twitching.

"Seriously? What the hell does the system think we have in common?"

He sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"…Okay, okay, to be fair… if you look at it from a certain perspective, the abilities do kinda align..."

Then he paused.

His face slowly twisted in realization.

"Wait… No. No, no, no. Personality-wise, we're nothing alike. He's an over-the-top harem freak who fights with his fists and..."

He stopped again.

"…Wait a minute."

A flash of awkward self-awareness hit him.

"…I've basically done nothing but clap cheeks lately…"

Guts let out a long, exasperated sigh and threw his head back.

"Damn it. Fine! I admit it! Who doesn't want to clap some cheeks?"

He raised his hand in mock conviction.

"Issei did nothing wrong… and neither did I."

Now slightly more composed, Guts began seriously analyzing the new template.

Issei Hyoudou, originally a completely average guy. But with the Boosted Gear and a series of chaotic events, he transformed into a devil, and eventually someone who rivaled gods.

The best part?

Guts wasn't worried about inheriting some soul-bound Sacred Gear.

After all, in the High School DxD light novel, Issei died and was reborn with a new body, one forged from Great Red's flesh and Ophis's concept of infinity.

With no lingering soul in Ddraig's gear, it became a pure power source, no personality inside to interfere.

That had to be the version the system was giving him.

A body crafted from the Dragon God of Dreams and the concept of infinity... That's not just broken, that's cheating.

"This version of Issei… He's planetary level, no doubt. A perfect match even against Baryon Mode Naruto or peak Isshiki. And when stacked on top of my full Garp template... Hah."

Guts let out a satisfied breath, a smirk tugging at the corner of his lips.

"Once I complete this... I might really be untouchable in the Boruto verse, aside from that guy."

Finally content, Guts closed his eyes, leaning back under the shade of a tree in his courtyard.

But he wasn't just lazing around, he was already deep in a simulated battle, training inside the system's virtual space.

While he fought in his mind...

Two small figures entered the courtyard.

Hinata, now with her hair grown long, walked beside a young girl who looked to be about five years old, her younger sister, Hyuga Hanabi.

Today was Hanabi's enrollment day into the Ninja Academy.

"That's him?" Hanabi whispered. "That's the guy who's been teaching you all these years, Onee-san?"

Unlike Hinata's quiet nature, Hanabi's personality was a bit more mischievous, more open and bold.

"Y-Yeah," Hinata replied with a small nod. "But Hanabi, don't disturb him, okay? Sensei might be training."

But before Hinata could stop her...

Hanabi, full of curiosity, approached the meditating Guts and stared at him closely.

"Sleeping under a tree in broad daylight… He really does look lazy. Is he really as strong as they say?"

Pouting, she reached out her small hand to poke his cheek.

Her finger was just a centimeter away when

Guts's eyes shot open.

He didn't move a muscle, didn't say a word.

But the sheer pressure that radiated from him was enough to blow Hanabi straight off her feet.

[Achievement Unlocked: "Daily Training" — Template Character: Issei Hyoudou — Completion: 0.91%]

Guts raised a brow, slightly amused.

"This progress rate's not bad."

"Hanabi!"

Hinata rushed forward, helping her sister up and bowing nervously.

"I'm so sorry, Sensei! She didn't mean to..."

Guts waved it off with a grin.

"This your sister, Hinata?"

He glanced down at Hanabi, who was rubbing her sore backside while glaring at him.

"Totally different vibe from you."

Without warning, he reached out and ruffled her hair, just like he used to do with Hinata when they first met.

The contrast was clear.

Hinata's hair was a deep blue, almost black, while Hanabi's was a rich, pure black.

"Oi! Don't touch my head!" Hanabi protested, shaking her head violently.

"Haha~"

Guts grinned like a mischievous older brother, moving his hand right back to her head just to mess with her.

Seeing her furious little face, struggling and growling, only made it more entertaining.

She's like a wildcat.

No wonder people in my past life loved cat-like girls so much. This is oddly satisfying.

Compared to Hinata's quiet, loyal type, who you could tease softly, Hanabi's feisty and rebellious streak made teasing her way more fun.

That night, back at home…

"Ughhhh! Onee-san!! That guy is the worst!"

Hanabi threw herself into Hinata's lap, flailing and pouting.

"He's annoying! He's mean! He's got a scary face! I hate him!"

Hinata gently stroked her sister's hair, chuckling softly.

"Sensei's actually very kind… You'll understand that one day."

"Nope! I never want to see him again!"

Hanabi huffed and buried her face in her sister's arms.

Time passed quietly.

And just like that...

Two years went by.

---

Two years had quietly passed since the Uchiha Clan's fall.

Tsunade had long since abdicated the Hokage seat, and Namikaze Minato now stood as the Fifth Hokage, restoring his legacy in the public eye.

But while peace settled over the surface, the storm beneath continued to churn.

Akatsuki, cloaked in shadows, experienced its own shift. Orochimaru, ever the snake, defected from the organization, leaving a void that was soon filled by two new twisted faces...Deidara, the explosive artist, and Hidan, the fanatical immortal.

And while the world remained oblivious to the quiet chaos, Konoha began to bloom anew.

New stars were rising.

Hyuga Neji, Rock Lee, and Tenten had graduated just a year ago and were now beginning to make names for themselves.

This year?

This year marked the start of a new generation.

It was the graduation season once again, the same era as the original Naruto anime.

In this timeline, however, Naruto's journey had taken a different turn.

Without the interference of the Nine-Tails

malevolent chakra, Naruto had been able to train properly like a normal shinobi.

No random chakra surges, no internal tug-of-war. Just raw determination and disciplined ninjutsu practice.

His results?

Steady and strong. A solid upper-mid rank in the class. His chances of passing the graduation exam were almost guaranteed.

And as for the teacher who would've betrayed him in the anime?

Mizuki never got the chance.

The moment Guts laid eyes on that man for the first time, he had him arrested, on suspicion alone.

And sure enough, upon investigation, it was revealed that Mizuki had been secretly hoarding forbidden techniques and communicating with outsiders.

Another snake cut down before it could bite.

That afternoon, in the open courtyard of Guts's home, the sun filtered through the branches, casting soft shadows across the polished floorboards.

Seated comfortably on the aisle deck, Guts casually munched on slices of cold watermelon, watching the scene before him with mild amusement.

In the middle of the courtyard, Kurenai Yuhi sparred with her student, Hinata Hyuga.

Though Kurenai wasn't a Taijutsu specialist by nature, years of training under Guts had made her more than capable of holding her own in close combat.

The two had been going at it for nearly two hours, sweat glistening on Hinata's forehead as she moved fluidly through her Gentle Fist stances.

Finally, Kurenai exhaled and stepped back, her tone light but proud.

"That's enough for today. You've improved again, Hinata. Honestly, with your current strength, you could pass the Chūnin Exams tomorrow if you wanted."

Hinata relaxed her stance, bowed respectfully, and replied softly:

"Thank you, Sensei."

Her voice, though still shy, held a quiet confidence that hadn't been there two years ago.

Guts silently took another bite of watermelon, the cool juice running down his chin. He watched the interaction like a content observer at a summer festival.

Hinata… she had come a long way.

Right now, among all the next-generation teams, she was undeniably the strongest, even Rock Lee would need to open the Eight Gates just to match her.

But Guts knew better than anyone

Once the graduation exam passed, the true monsters would awaken.

Naruto and Sasuke…

They were about to enter their rapid growth arc—the kind of progress that defied reason.

From Genin to literal demigods in just four years.

Even Madara and Hashirama would have wept tears of inferiority.

Guts chuckled to himself. Even with two full template characters under his belt, even he couldn't claim he'd grown that fast.

But what could he say?

This was the era of bloodlines.

Suddenly, Guts's eyes flicked to the far side of the courtyard, his grin widening slightly.

"Well, well… Didn't expect the little lady from the Hyuga clan to be into voyeurism."

A small gasp escaped from behind a nearby wooden beam.

Hanabi Hyuga, now seven years old, froze like a deer caught in the light.

"Tch...!"

Author's Note:

Here are the abilities of Issei Hyoudou — the Red Dragon Emperor from High School DxD — for those who are curious or don't know them.

Why choose him? Because he builds on Garp instead of breaking him.

•Boost: Doubles his power every 10 seconds.

•Transfer: Transfer can even be used for contract-based immortality to extend lifespan...not just for him, but also for his harem. Yep, I thought of that too.

•Penetration: It can Penetrate any defence. Pair that with advanced haki and nothing survives.

•Dragon Shot: Think of a Haki-infused dragon blast that nukes everything in front. 🔥

•Dragon Flames: Burns the soul. Perfect against Otsutsuki who rely on immortality and karma hacks.

•Teleportation: Keeps up with Otsutsuki and their broken space hacks.

He's strong, but not invincible. That's the balance I want.
