Naruto: Reborn with the Script & A Flying Thunder God Tagged to Hinata

The battle ended quickly. Before Pain's Deva Path, all of Han's attacks were utterly ineffective. 

Pain effortlessly nullified every attack Han threw at him with the Shinra Tensei, and it left Han grievously injured. 

Han collapsed unconscious, his transformation into the Five-Tails gradually fading away. 

Pain slowly approached Han's fallen body, gazing down at him emotionlessly. 

In Pain's eyes, the jinchuriki were merely weapons of the ninja world—unworthy of the slightest pity. 

"It is because of you, Jinchuriki, that this world has become so full of suffering." 

Suddenly, Pain sharply lifted his head, locking eyes with none other than Jiraiya. 

Jiraiya could barely believe his eyes. Although Naruto had warned him about much of Pain's intel, witnessing it firsthand still felt unbelievable. 

Jiraiya thought to himself: It really is Yahiko—I can recognize his appearance. Just like Naruto said, his body is covered in piercings like my Black Receivers, and he even possesses the Rinnegan—the same as Nagato… 

So…Yahiko is really just a corpse now? 

A profound sorrow welled up inside Jiraiya. His former student now stood before him—but everything had changed. 

"Are you Yahiko or Nagato?" 

"It seems like you know quite a bit, teacher." 

A wave of grief washed over Jiraiya. 

"So then…Yahiko is truly dead. And the lively, energetic Yahiko I see here now—one who could even defeat a Five-Tails jinchuriki—is nothing but a corpse!" 

"Naruto told you all this, didn't he?" 

"Tell me, Nagato…how did Yahiko die? And why have you turned his body into this…monstrosity?" 

"Because I've evolved. I've become a god." 

"What are you saying? After I left all those years ago, what exactly did you go through?" 

"Pain…anguish. So much pain. Many people died. And through suffering, I found strength." 

Jiraiya inwardly blamed himself upon hearing these words. 

I'm sorry…Nagato, Konan, Yahiko. I failed all of you. Back then, I should have taken you with me. 

Long ago, Konoha sent many ninjas into Rain Village to fight in the war—including Jiraiya. 

While stationed in Rain Village, Jiraiya randomly came across three children—Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan. 

Jiraiya took them as his apprentices, teaching them ninjutsu. But after they completed their training, Jiraiya left them behind. 

After Jiraiya departed, the three were betrayed. 

Yahiko died. Nagato went berserk. Konan lost her will to live. 

Jiraiya recalled those old memories. If given another choice, he would've brought Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan back to Konoha without hesitation. 

Because Naruto had changed him. 

Recently, Jiraiya secretly investigated Naruto. He found out that Naruto had been sheltering outsiders—even rogue ninja from other villages. 

This realization deeply shook Jiraiya. 

He had never imagined such an approach was possible. 

Naruto brought complete strangers into Konoha—a completely unprecedented act. 

In the past, Jiraiya would never have considered doing something like that. Taking outsiders back to Konoha violated Konoha's village rules. 

But now, influenced by Naruto, Jiraiya believed that every outdated rule was meant to be broken.

"Sorry, Nagato. I shouldn't have just left like that back then," Jiraiya was actually apologizing.

Pain's Deva Path showed shock on his face.

Konan, hidden in the shadows, looked just as shocked.

"Teacher, you did nothing wrong. There's no need to apologize to me."

"No!" Jiraiya paused, struggling for words before finally speaking, "Back then, I really didn't do anything wrong, but now I've grown. I think I was wrong back then."

Pain's Deva Path silently stared at Jiraiya.

Naruto, also hidden in the shadows, was equally stunned.

What the hell?! Since when did Jiraiya change? But Nagato now is extremely stubborn. I hope this works... better keep observing.

Pain's Deva Path slowly closed his eyes, as if lost in thought.

What Jiraiya said truly took him completely by surprise.

Then Pain's Deva Path slowly opened his eyes again.

"Teacher, you're still just an ordinary human after all. What you couldn't accomplish before, you still can't do now."

"I am God. I've abandoned human emotions. I must view everything from a divine perspective."

"As God, it's my duty to bring everlasting peace to this world."

"If you try to stop me, teacher, don't expect me to show mercy."

Naruto, hiding in the shadows, muttered in disgust.

Naruto immediately used the [Flying Thunder God Technique] to teleport beside Han, the Five-Tailed Jinchuriki.

Naruto shouted, "Lustful Sage, your apprentice Nagato has gone completely crazy. He's being super overdramatic."

Pain was greatly alarmed. "Shinra Tensei!"

A powerful repulsive force surged toward Naruto.

Instantly, Naruto vanished along with Han using the [Flying Thunder God Technique].

Jiraiya quickly formed hand seals. "[Wild Lion's Mane Technique!]"

His hair shot out rapidly, transforming into needle-sharp, steel-like strands.

A storm of needle-like hairs shot forth toward Pain's Deva Path.

Pain's Deva Path rapidly retreated backward to evade Jiraiya's attack.

Jiraiya thought to himself: The intelligence Naruto provided was accurate. Nagato, using Shinra Tensei, creates a gravitational field with formidable power, but there's a five-second interval between uses. He can't use it continuously.

After dodging Jiraiya's attack, Pain's Deva Path expression darkened further.

Pain's Deva Path thought: The timing of Naruto removing the Five-Tails matched Jiraiya's attack… Could it be a coincidence?

No! That should be impossible! Shinra Tensei is a jutsu unique to the Rinnegan. Regarding the Rinnegan, no one else in the world could possibly know about it.

Whoa!

Naruto arrived beside Hinata along with the Five-Tailed Jinchuriki through teleportation.

Here came one of Naruto's classic moves again.

"Hinata-chan, that Pain guy was terrifying just now. He actually hit me with Shinra Tensei!"

Naruto buried his head into Hinata's arms, his face pressed against her lower torso, with the top of his head squashed by two soft mounds.

"Do you know how terrifying Shinra Tensei is?"

Hinata shook her head. "I don't know."

"Hehehe." Naruto grinned. "Hinata, you're my specifically trained secret weapon to counter Shinra Tensei."

Hinata felt a little giddy. She couldn't help but feel more like Naruto's blushing girlfriend, constantly teased by him.

"Now, use your Byakugan, Hinata!"

At Naruto's request, Hinata activated her Byakugan.

Using the Byakugan's long-range vision, Hinata spotted Pain hundreds of meters away.

"Master Jiraiya is currently engaged in battle with someone."

Hinata performed a hand seal and summoned two colossal frogs.

One was Gamasu.

The other was Gamigame.

Hinata used her Byakugan to observe the fight between Jiraiya and Pain.

As Jiraiya launched his attack, Pain countered with [Shinra Tensei].

Hinata then ordered Gamasu to release hidden weapons.

Gamasu obeyed Hinata without hesitation.

With the size of a mountain range, Gamasu opened its massive jaws, firing a gigantic kunai straight at Pain.

Gamasu couldn't see Pain at all from hundreds of meters away. But with Hinata sharing her Byakugan-enhanced vision, Gamasu could now see Pain clearly, making every attack strike true without fail.
