Chapter 23: Creating Chidori
Chirp... Chirp... Chirp...
Lightning continuously flickered in Kazuki's hands, and the violent Lightning Chakra sounded like thousands of birds chirping.
Kazuki looked at the lightning in his hand, a smile appearing on his lips.
It had taken him three months, under the guidance of Tsunade and Mito, to develop the Chidori.
"Is it complete?"
Tsunade, with her arms crossed, scrutinized the lightning in Kazuki's hand. Mikoto, Kushina, and Nawaki also looked on with curiosity.
They had personally witnessed Kazuki propose the theory, consult a vast amount of Senju clan data on Lightning Release, and then, with the guidance of Tsunade and Mito, complete the Ninjutsu.
"It's pretty much complete." Kazuki nodded slightly.
With an acceleration, he rushed towards a distant dummy at a speed far exceeding what a Chunin could achieve, easily piercing through it.
Afterward, Kazuki spoke, "For me, the Ninjutsu is complete, but it will be very difficult to popularize it."
"This Ninjutsu requires a rapid charge towards the opponent during an attack, and one might lose sight of the enemy due to the excessive speed, leading to a counter-attack. It needs to be used in conjunction with the Sharingan to achieve its maximum effect."
"However, very few within the Uchiha clan possess Lightning Release Chakra nature. Most are primarily focused on the single Fire Release."
"While Lightning Release Chakra nature can be acquired later, it ultimately cannot compare to innate Chakra nature. It's better to focus on Fire Release instead."
"At least you succeeded, didn't you? If you used this Ninjutsu on me, I'd probably die instantly."
Nawaki, standing to the side, glanced at the destroyed dummy, gulped, and then said, "The power of this Ninjutsu must already be comparable to a B-rank ninjutsu, right?"
"No, this is an A-rank Ninjutsu." Mito declared definitively.
Her gaze towards Kazuki was filled with admiration. "The best Ninjutsu is one that suits oneself."
"Similarly, the same Ninjutsu will have different effects in different people's hands."
"For example, your Uchiha clan's Fire Release: Great Fire Destruction, in the hands of other Uchiha, is just a Fire Release stronger than the Great Fireball, but in Madara's hands, it becomes incredibly lethal, requiring dozens of Ninja skilled in Water Release to simultaneously act to even have a chance of stopping it."
"This Ninjutsu of yours is almost the ultimate in Lightning Release nature transformation, and it also has some shape transformation."
"You can continue to research this Lightning Release Ninjutsu. I think it still has great potential for development, and in the future, it might even rival the Raikage's Lightning Release Chakra Mode."
"Madara's Fire Release, requiring dozens of Ninja skilled in Water Release to simultaneously act to even have a chance of stopping it?" Tsunade was curious about Madara at this point.
Previously, Mito had privately lamented more than once that Kazuki's talent was no less than Madara's back then, but Tsunade's understanding of Madara was ultimately limited.
She didn't even know how strong her grandfather truly was, thinking he should at most be a bit stronger than Hiruzen and Tobirama, right?
"Yes, Hashirama said that Madara's Mangekyo Sharingan's technique might be able to enhance the power of Ninjutsu. The power of the Ninjutsu he uses is stronger than that of ordinary Ninja." Mito sighed when mentioning Madara.
Sometimes, Mito would question whether Tobirama's actions to prevent Madara from becoming Hokage were right or wrong.
If Madara hadn't left, would Hashirama still be alive now?
If Hashirama hadn't died, would Tobirama also not have died?
Would the Uzumaki clan also not have been annihilated?
If they had followed Madara's suggestion back then and unified the entire Ninja World, would the Ninja World have achieved peace?
While Madara did many wrong things and was a crazy person, his pursuit of peace was undeniable by anyone.
"Is that so? It's hard to imagine how strong he truly is." Tsunade said, then stepped forward and patted Kazuki's head.
"Kid, you've done very well. You truly are my disciple. Creating an A-rank Ninjutsu at six years old is unique in the entire Ninja World."
Kazuki smiled shyly, "If it weren't for Tsunade-sensei and Grandma Mito helping, I might not have been able to develop it even if I researched it alone for five or six years."
"You brat, well done!" Tsunade nodded in satisfaction.
It wasn't in vain that she had inquired Sakumo about Lightning Release Chakra nature transformation for this kid. This kid still has a good conscience.
"Have you thought about what to name this Ninjutsu?" Mito thought even more highly of Kazuki.
It was a pity that Kazuki was more than ten years younger. Otherwise, being her grandson-in-law wouldn't be bad either.
"Let's just call it Chidori. It just so happens that when using it, there's the sound of a thousand birds chirping." Kazuki had no intention of changing the name of Chidori.
He didn't know if Kakashi's Chidori was the same as his, or if his technique was the same as the original Chidori, but since Mito had acknowledged his Chidori, then his was the most authentic.
"Chidori, a good name." Mito nodded in approval. "From now on, it will be called Chidori."
"Ah, it's a shame, I don't have Lightning Release Chakra nature, so I can't learn it." Nawaki said with his hands behind his head, full of regret.
After three months, Nawaki and Kazuki had become familiar with each other.
Before, he had even challenged Kazuki, only to helplessly discover that he couldn't compare to Kazuki, his "junior apprentice-nephew" who was two years younger than him.
This greatly disheartened Nawaki, but fortunately, he was an optimistic young man. Since he couldn't defeat Kazuki now, he would just train harder.
"Nawaki!"
Tsunade looked at her younger brother with helplessness. Chidori was not that easy to learn.
Mastering that kind of nature transformation would surely give one Chunin-level strength, and even ordinary Chunin couldn't control it to this extent. Her silly younger brother still had a long way to go.
Even if Kazuki really taught Nawaki Chidori, Nawaki wouldn't learn it without several years. It would be better to study Tobirama's Water Release and Orochimaru's Earth Release. Those were most suitable for Nawaki.
Why research Lightning Release when there was a clear path to follow?
"Alright, now that you've developed Chidori, next, I'm going to start teaching you Chakra enhanced strength. Are you ready?"
Tsunade decided that Kazuki absolutely had to learn Chakra enhanced Strength, otherwise, wouldn't she appear to be a useless teacher?
After this period, she discovered that although Kazuki was an Uchiha, his physique was in no way inferior to their Senju, and he also had terrifying Chakra control abilities. Even if he wasn't an Uchiha, he was suitable to be her disciple.
Why would Kazuki bother with the Sharingan when it's so much better to follow her and use Chakra enhanced strength?
