Naruto: Reborn in Konoha, Starting with the Drop of Asura's Chakra

Chapter 30: Chapter 30: Bloodline Limit - Red Eye

The Phantom: Shackles Technique and Water Style: Hard Vortex Water Blade marked Yagyu's greatest progress in recent times.

The Phantom: Shackles Technique, also called the Binding Technique or the Sharingan version of the Shadow Bind Technique, immobilizes opponents by pulling them into the Sharingan's illusionary space with just a glance from the three-tomoe Sharingan. Within this space, Yin Release chakra manifests as massive black stakes, depriving the enemy of bodily control.

This genjutsu is renowned in the original story, especially because one of the legendary Sannin, Orochimaru, used it to great effect on two occasions.

In this world, Yagyu had learned the Shadow Bind Technique from Sunset Red and fused it with the genjutsu abilities of the three-tomoe Sharingan, developing the Phantom: Shackles Technique.

As for the Water Style: Hard Vortex Water Blade, it wasn't the true Hard Vortex Water Blade but rather a combination jutsu executed with Yagyu's shadow clones.

More accurately, it could be called Combination Jutsu: Hard Vortex Water Blade.

The actual Hard Vortex Water Blade involves forming a water vortex in one's hand, compressing Water Release chakra's nature and shape transformations into a water spear.

This spear boasts immense piercing power and, upon explosion, generates a colossal water vortex.

In Yagyu's eyes, the Hard Vortex Water Blade resembled the Water Release version of the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken.

The principle is similar: injecting nature transformation into advanced chakra shape manipulation.

The Rasengan is already an advanced form of chakra shape manipulation, classified as an A-rank technique. Successfully integrating nature transformation without the structure collapsing upgrades it to an S-rank secret art like the Rasenshuriken.

Yagyu lacked Wind Release chakra and couldn't use wind-style jutsu. Even Naruto's Wind Release: Rasenshuriken started as an incomplete, non-throwable version.

So Yagyu had never considered developing the Wind Release: Rasenshuriken—at least not for now.

Instead, he attempted to infuse Water Release nature transformation into the Rasengan multiple times.

Unfortunately, his mastery of Water Release nature transformation was insufficient, and each attempt ended in failure.

One day, while practicing the Spiral Water Vortex with his shadow clones to improve its formation and launch speed, inspiration struck. Yagyu recalled Tobirama Senju's Hard Vortex Water Blade.

Forming a water vortex in hand and shaping it into a spear was essentially a reverse-engineered Rasenshuriken.

Thus, Yagyu began experimenting.

After repeated failures, he finally resorted to using shadow clones, much like Naruto's first successful Rasengan.

With clones assisting, Yagyu created a chakra vortex in his hand, infused it with water to form a water vortex, wrapped the advanced shape manipulation around the basic nature transformation, and compressed it into a water spear.

Eventually, Yagyu succeeded in creating the Hard Vortex Water Blade.

This success was largely thanks to the chakra control techniques he had learned from Sakura.

Without this talent, even with inspiration, he wouldn't have achieved the technique so quickly.

Before facing super-kage-level enemies, ninja battles were essentially battles of intelligence.

Sunset Red's defeat by Kurosuna Raiga was due to faulty intelligence—she was caught off guard by his unknown abilities.

Similarly, Raiga's defeat by Yagyu resulted from his ignorance of Yagyu's capabilities.

Raiga could not have anticipated Yagyu possessing both such powerful Water Release jutsu and the Uchiha clan's three-tomoe Sharingan, with its overwhelming genjutsu power.

For someone like Raiga, who was constrained by the mysterious presence behind him and avoided close combat with Team 8, falling victim to Yagyu's trap was inevitable.

After landing, Yagyu turned to check on Sunset Red's condition.

Suddenly, a scene unfolded that made Yagyu's eyes widen in shock.

Swish, swish, swish…

Several beams of light shot out from the water vortex, forming floating orbs of varying colors suspended just above the ground.

Some orbs were white, others blue, and one was red.

"What the…?"

Yagyu stood momentarily stunned before muttering an expletive under his breath.

What was happening?

The orbs flew toward Yagyu automatically, and he quickly counted seven in total: one red, one blue, and five white.

This was the first time Yagyu had seen multiple orbs drop from a single enemy.

Had he just saved the world or something? His luck seemed unreal!

A sudden thought flashed through Yagyu's mind.

Could this be the true nature of defeating enemies—obtaining drops?

Was eliminating opponents the ultimate reward? Did it trigger maximum ratings and high drop rates because the enemy could no longer challenge him?

At that moment, Yagyu felt as if he'd uncovered a profound truth.

However, lacking concrete evidence, he suppressed his curiosity and walked toward Hinata while opening the virtual interface to inspect the orbs in his spatial inventory.

The first was the red orb.

Upon viewing its details, Yagyu finally recalled the ability behind the red particles.

[Spatial Inventory: Bloodline Limit - Red Eye (Red)]

This was a bloodline limit from the anime's filler arcs. Yagyu couldn't remember the original user's name but figured it must be the one hiding behind Kurosuna Raiga.

The Red Eye's abilities resembled the Byakugan but were its natural nemesis.

In addition to providing X-ray vision and sensing opponents' power, the Red Eye could create illusions to interfere with the Byakugan's perception and judgment.

The phantom images Hinata saw and her inability to locate Raiga were all due to the Red Eye's interference.

Yagyu inwardly grumbled, "If the Red Eye exists, doesn't that mean Blood Dragon Eyes are real too?"

This was excellent news for Yagyu.

The filler arcs contained plenty of valuable elements. If he could obtain them all, his arsenal would grow immensely.

After all, who would complain about having more trump cards?

Yagyu decided not to fuse with the Red Eye just yet and moved on to inspect the blue orb.

Seeing its details brought him a surge of joy.

[Spatial Inventory: Lightning Chakra Attribute (Blue)]

The blue orb contained a chakra nature. Fusing with it would grant Yagyu a fifth chakra nature.

With just Wind and Fire remaining, Yagyu would achieve the rare full-attribute constitution of a ninja.

Without hesitation, he fused with the blue orb.

As blue light entered his body, Yagyu examined the five white orbs.

The white orbs contained ninjutsu, all looted from Raiga:

Water Style: Hidden Mist Technique

Ninja Art: Rock Avalanche

Lightning Style: Thunderball

Lightning Style: Raiga Strike

Ninja Art: Lightning Armor

The last three were lightning-style techniques Raiga had executed with his twin blades.

Yagyu frowned slightly.

This wasn't all of Raiga's techniques.

Though he didn't know how many Raiga possessed, the white orbs didn't include the lightning slash that had disrupted his water vortex.

It seemed defeating enemies didn't guarantee dropping all their abilities—only part or most of them.

For Yagyu, this wasn't great news.

He had assumed defeating enemies would yield all their abilities.

Now it seemed the system was warning him: unless he obtained the most valuable drops, he shouldn't recklessly kill opponents.

Realizing this, Yagyu dismissed a dark thought he'd just had about taking down Uchiha Sasuke.
