"I'm sorry."

Zabuza lowered his head like a man confessing to the girl he had disappointed for years.

Haku shook her head, wiping away her tears.

"No, Mr. Zabuza doesn't need to apologize. Everything I did... I did of my own will."

Zabuza looked at her, his eyes soft and full of regret.

"Haku... you're too kind."

Naruto, standing nearby, smiled warmly at the pair. Haku's gentle personality reminded him so much of Hinata. Just like Haku, Hinata had always supported him quietly, from the shadows, filled with love and devotion.

Thinking of her, Naruto instinctively focused his senses on the Flying Thunder God seal he had placed on Hinata.

Still intact. Good.

She was at the designated battlefield—exactly like in his previous life.

Without hesitation, Naruto sent a shadow clone in her direction through the Flying Thunder God technique. He wanted her protected.

Meanwhile, deep within the Akatsuki hideout—

Kabuto watched the reunion play out through Zabuza's eyes. His lip curled with suppressed frustration.

"So sentimental. Tch. Zabuza and Haku… such stubborn emotions. Since you two won't behave, I'll just erase them."

His hands formed a snake seal, tightening the curse of the Impure World Reincarnation. Zabuza and Haku's pupils immediately turned lifeless white—their consciousness forcibly severed. The light in their eyes vanished.

They were now nothing more than killing puppets.

On the battlefield—

Kakashi's eyes narrowed.

"Everyone, prepare for combat!" he ordered sternly.

Naruto turned toward him.

"Sensei Kakashi, do you want me to handle this?"

The moment Naruto spoke, a strange calm washed over Kakashi. For the first time in a long time, the pressure didn't feel so crushing.

Because standing beside Naruto... was Minato Namikaze—the Fourth Hokage—and Orochimaru, now clearly on Naruto's side.

He glanced at Naruto. That boy—no, that man—wasn't just powerful anymore. He had become something else entirely.

Kakashi nodded.

"Of course. If you're willing, Naruto, we'd all be grateful."

Lee's eyes lit up.

"Ha! Naruto is fighting with us!"

Sai raised his hand with a warm smile.

"It's reassuring, Naruto-kun."

Sakura, however, stared at Naruto with a strange mixture of awe and pain. He felt so distant now. Not like before. Once, Naruto would trip over himself to impress her. He would smile shyly, stutter compliments, try too hard.

But now… since that day in the woods, after he'd collapsed and then kissed Hinata upon waking... it was as if a barrier had formed between them. No more awkward flirting. No more open longing.

Just silence.

Kakashi noticed her expression and said,

"Don't worry, Sakura. Naruto's not the same as before. His strength… is beyond what we can grasp. Let him handle this."

Naruto looked at the gathered shinobi.

"Except for the sealing team, everyone else—stand down. Don't interfere. Let me put on a show."

Minato stepped forward.

"Need any backup?"

Naruto smiled.

"Big Brother just returned the Rinnegan to me. I could use a warm-up."

Understanding his intent, Minato nodded and stood aside with Orochimaru.

Kakashi relayed the order:

"Sealing squad, prepare formation! Everyone else, fall back!"

Sakura frowned.

"Are you sure this is okay?"

Kakashi didn't hesitate.

"Naruto's not someone we 'protect' anymore."

Lee clenched his fists. He was proud, happy—but something inside him twisted.

Back then, Naruto and he were both underdogs. Together, they had defied Neji's cold theories about genius. Naruto had defeated Neji in front of everyone. It had inspired Lee deeply.

But now… Naruto had become that genius—the kind who soared far out of reach.

"I'm afraid my brother will starve, but also afraid he'll buy a Land Rover…"

That's how Lee felt now—proud and afraid.

A Konoha intelligence officer near Kakashi called out,

"Naruto! Be careful! The man beside Zabuza is an Explosion Release user—just like Deidara! He was originally from the Blast Corps. That woman is Pakura of Sunagakure—she wields the Scorch Release Kekkei Genkai!"

Naruto nodded.

"I understand."

Suddenly, Zabuza's hands weaved a familiar sign.

"Hidden Mist Technique!" (Kirigakure no Jutsu)

A dense fog blanketed the field. Kakashi's eyes sharpened.

"All units! Fall back to your formations! Sensing-type shinobi, establish a defensive perimeter—positions 1, 2, 3, 6, 9! Swastika formation! Move!"

"Yes, sir!"

The mist thickened, cloaking everything.

"Damn it, I can't see anything!" someone shouted.

Kakashi's voice rang out:

"Stay sharp! Don't let your guard down!"

Inside the mist, Naruto's voice echoed coldly.

"Zabuza… no, Kabuto—you should know this tactic is completely useless against me."

In an instant, Kurama's chakra flared—Tailed Beast Mode activated. Golden-orange light cut through the fog.

"Fog might obscure sight, but for me… it reveals everything."

From Naruto's back, four chakra tails burst out—each one snaking like a serpent in a different direction.

Whoosh—whoosh—whoosh—whoosh!

Piercing through the fog came the scream of tearing air. The Perception Division gasped.

"What monstrous chakra levels…!"

"It's the Nine-Tails… no mistake!"

Killer Bee rapped,

"Once Naruto's in play, ya better step away! Nine-Tails mode, ends the fray, hey!"

The Hidden Cloud shinobi, seeing Bee calm, settled into defensive readiness. After all, with the jinchūriki of the Eight-Tails on their side, they felt secure.

Suddenly, Naruto's fifth tail erupted, arcing in a circle.

Whoosh!

A violent gust surged outward. The mist was shredded, revealing the battlefield again.

The four chakra tails had each pierced one opponent: Zabuza, Haku, Pakura, and the Explosion Release Hunter.

A stunned silence fell.

"They… they're down?"

"With a single strike?!"

"These were elite Kekkei Genkai users!"

Zabuza, briefly regaining his senses, looked at Naruto.

"So… the demon fox brat… is now a full jinchūriki…"

Haku's eyes trembled with awe.

"You've really grown strong, Naruto…"

The Explosion Release ninja coughed, eyes wide.

"Even with our concealment… he found us. He's a sensory ninja too?!"

Pakura gave a weary sigh.

"This is good. At least we won't be forced to kill anymore…"

In the shadows, Kabuto snarled and poured more chakra into the cursed talismans, intensifying control.

Naruto winced—he could feel the tug in his tails.

"Tch…"

He raised his hand. His Rinnegan focused.

"Shinra Tensei? No…"

He activated a different path.

"Banshō Ten'in! (Heavenly Attraction of All Creation)"

FWOOOM!

The four ninjas' limp bodies were yanked through the air, flying straight toward him.

Naruto narrowed his eyes.

"I'm ending this now."

The tails whirled and struck—boom!

The upper halves of the four resurrected shinobi shattered like porcelain dolls.

The battle… was over.
