Naruto: Reborn in His Younger Self

Chapter 215: Chapter 215: Leaving

Upon returning to the base, Obito, with Sasuke in tow, was looking for Suigetsu and Jūgo.

Their original location had already been determined, but unfortunately, the two had temporarily moved again. At Sasuke's insistence, the search was restarted.

Finally, by a stream deep within the forest, where Jūgo and Suigetsu were grilling fish, Obito's space-time vortex reappeared.

The sound of swirling chakra echoed, and both Jūgo and Suigetsu instantly tensed. As the figure emerged, Suigetsu's expression brightened.

"Sasuke! Karin!"

Karin was also overjoyed. "Jūgo! Suigetsu!"

Since the attack on the Five Kage Summit, Team Taka was finally reunited.

Jūgo smiled warmly at Sasuke. "We finally found you... huh?"

He paused. Sasuke's eyes had changed. Could those be the Rinnegan?

Suigetsu noticed it too. "Sasuke, your eyes...?"

Sasuke responded coldly, "Yeah. During my time away, I awakened the Rinnegan."

Both Suigetsu and Jūgo were stunned. The Rinnegan—the eyes of a god.

Seeing their reactions, Sasuke felt a sense of satisfaction. This was the look of awe he had wanted to see.

Obito interrupted, "Enough. There are more important things to deal with. Come."

Jūgo and Suigetsu walked over, joining Karin. Suigetsu muttered, "Where the hell were you? Jūgo and I looked everywhere. And who are these seven behind you? They look... dead."

Karin thought silently, Of course you couldn't find me. I was imprisoned. As for the seven figures behind her? They were indeed reanimated corpses.

But with Obito present, she didn't say anything aloud. She decided to tell Suigetsu later in private.

The space-time vortex opened again, and the group disappeared.

Amegakure.

Inside Orochimaru's underground laboratory, Naruto sat up and rotated his freshly attached, bandaged arm. The connection was flawless; the nerve feedback was sharp and responsive.

Orochimaru approached, smirking. "Naruto, do you feel any discomfort?"

Naruto grinned. "Not at all. With Uncle Snake's skill, I had no doubts."

Orochimaru nodded with satisfaction.

Nearby, Tobirama Senju folded his arms, observing. "Naruto, your real arm was still functional. You chose to replace it. Although this new arm enhances your power, adapting to it takes time. Don't let it interfere with your plans."

Since meeting Naruto, Tobirama had recognized him as meticulous and deliberate. He never acted without reason.

Naruto smiled knowingly. In his previous life, he had used this arm for years. The memories tied to it were deeply embedded in his soul. As the anesthesia wore off, those sensations returned vividly.

"Don't worry," Naruto replied. "I'll adapt quickly."

Feeling the six Sharingan embedded in the arm, Naruto's mind was already turning with strategy.

During a prior conversation, Naruto had suggested to Itachi that he use Izanami if needed to help Kabuto. But after that, Naruto had asked Itachi for something even more valuable—the hand seals and method for using Izanagi and Izanami.

In his past life, he recalled Danzo using multiple Izanagi to cheat death repeatedly against Sasuke. He and Sasuke had once laughed about it while drinking.

Obito had used Izanagi, and so had Madara.

Now, Naruto intended to claim that power for himself. These six Sharingan were his "extra lives."

So far, Naruto had avoided resurrecting himself through Nagato's Samsara of Heavenly Life Technique not because of pride, but because he feared risk.

Caution had always been his way. Stability over bravado.

Now, however, with six Sharingan embedded in his arm, he finally felt the courage to take real risks. With Izanagi in hand, he had one more escape route from death.

The war was coming. Naruto had confidence against Obito, but Madara was a threat of a different level. That man had even released himself from the Edo Tensei. With Black Zetsu at his side, Naruto knew he had to be prepared.

Nagato had also removed his gauze. His eyes were now Naruto's original pair.

After getting dressed, Naruto walked to Nagato. "Brother, help me see more of the world."

Nagato smiled. "Don't worry, I will."

Naruto turned to Orochimaru. "Uncle Snake, pack up. We're leaving."

Nagato went to find Konan and Yahiko. His plan was to take them into the mountains to protect the civilians until the battle ended.

Originally, Naruto didn't want to involve them further. They had already done enough for him.

But it felt strange not having Konan around—his beloved senior sister who had once served as his secretary.

Finally, Naruto, the Four Hokage, Killer Bee, and Orochimaru all began their retreat from Amegakure.

Before leaving, Naruto destroyed the tower.

BOOM!

The tall structure collapsed into rubble, ending a historic chapter of the former Akatsuki base.

Naruto looked back at the smoke rising into the sky. He exhaled slowly. "Let's go."

Konan heard the explosion. She turned and saw the plume of smoke in the distance.

" Naruto..."

She started to rush toward it, but Nagato appeared and stopped her.

"Naruto has already left."

Yahiko frowned. "He left? Why didn't he tell us? We could have gone with him."

Nagato replied, "Our mission is to protect the civilians of Amegakure. That's enough."

Konan looked at Nagato. "Did you and Naruto agree on this?"

Nagato nodded.

Konan sighed. "Naruto is heading into war. Shouldn't we be helping him? We're still a team."

Nagato understood her feelings. But he believed in Naruto. Jiraiya-sensei once said Naruto would change the shinobi world.

"Some people walk with you for a time," Nagato said. "We helped him along one path. Now, others will join him."

At that moment, a messenger ninja rushed in. "Lord Pain, all the villagers have evacuated to the forests."

Yahiko turned. "Understood."

Nagato looked at Konan again. "Let's go. When the war is over, we'll return."

Konan nodded. They departed.

Just after their departure, Obito's space-time vortex appeared.

Team Taka emerged.

Jūgo glanced around. "This place... all this water... is this the Hidden Mist Village?"

Suigetsu scanned the mistless surroundings. "No. There's no mist here."

Obito answered, "This is Amegakure—Naruto's stronghold."

At the mention of Naruto, Karin immediately turned to Sasuke.

A faint smirk played on Sasuke's lips. Then, with a thought, the seven reanimated Jinchūriki dashed toward the village ruins.

Obito said nothing. He let them go.

Three minutes later, the Jinchūriki returned.

Sasuke scowled. "Didn't you say Naruto was here?"

Obito shrugged. "White Zetsu reported he was. Look where the smoke is coming from. That used to be a tower. Naruto clearly demolished it and evacuated to prevent us from finding him."

Sasuke scoffed. "Hmph. So he's afraid of me after all."
