Naruto Rebirth : Rewriting Fate of the Ninja World

Naruto had already entered Sage Mode.

He looked cautious.

"Obito's eye technique, Kamui, is no longer a secret to me. But just knowing about it doesn't mean it's easy to counter. I'll play it safe at the start…"

He clasped his hands together.

—Ninjutsu: Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu!

Bang! Bang!

Dozens of Shadow Clones appeared through the smoke, each holding a Rasengan as they charged at Obito.

Obito narrowed his eyes.

"Shadow Clones... You're trying to use numbers to force an opening, but I won't fall for that."

Whoosh!

Naruto's clones passed through Obito's body again and again. Obito calmly phased with Kamui, unmoved by the attacks. 

Then, seizing the timing, he released black rods from his eye and pierced the clones one after another.

Swish!

Obito used Kamui again, reappearing above and behind Naruto, throwing sharpened wooden stakes at him.

Naruto smiled, turned, and blocked them with his kunai.

Clang!

Obito's eyes widened slightly.

"That's Sage Mode perception…"

Poof!

Naruto formed a seal and placed his hands on the ground.

 —Summoning Jutsu!

Bang! Bang! Bang!

Giant summoned beasts appeared one after another in clouds of smoke.

Obito scanned the battlefield.

"Adding in Sage Mode and the Rinnegan's shared field of vision... there's almost no room to exploit."

Whoosh!

 He used Kamui again and reappeared dozens of meters away.

"Fine. I'll fight you head-on…"

Obito formed a Fire Style hand seal and activated the Kamui vortex from his right eye, combining the two powers.

—Fire Style: Storm Dance!

Fwoosh!

 A fierce wave of fire, boosted by Kamui, surged toward Naruto.

"What a nostalgic sight…"

 Naruto calmly formed a hand seal and puffed out his chest.

—Sage Art: Toad Oil Flame Bomb!

A stream of oil shot out first, followed by blazing fire. The combined attack exploded forward, clashing head-on with Obito's fire technique and creating a massive sea of flames!

The two Fire Styles battled for a moment, but Naruto's Toad Oil Flame Bomb eventually overpowered the Storm Dance!

Obito narrowed his eyes.

 "He's overpowering me… As expected of an Uzumaki—his chakra is unmatched. But…"

While his Fire Style faded, the Kamui vortex in his eye intensified.

Whoosh!!!

 A pitch-black Tailed Beast Bomb shot out of Obito's eye, rumbling forward with terrifying force!

"A Tailed Beast Bomb, coming from his eye?!" 

Naruto was just as shocked as Sasuke had once been.

While he hesitated, the bomb arrived!

Naruto raised his palm. A sealing barrier formed by Kidō appeared in front of him. As the Tailed Beast Bomb hit the barrier, it began to shrink…!

But Obito's voice was calm and grim.

"Even if it's the Rinnegan's absorption ability, it takes time to fully absorb a Tailed Beast Bomb. Its power might weaken, but it's still deadly."

He raised two fingers.

—Detonate!!

BOOM!! BOOM!! BOOM!!!

Obito manually detonated the shrinking Tailed Beast Bomb!

The explosion's flames engulfed a large part of the forest—but Obito used his intangibility to pass through it unharmed.

"Naruto…!" Konan watched nervously.

Crack…!

 Within the flames, a flash of purple light appeared.

Naruto stepped out of the fire, his body cloaked in a purple, lightning-like chakra.

"That was close… This mode protected me from serious injuries, but the shockwave from the Tailed Beast Bomb still hit me hard…"

 He wiped blood from the corner of his mouth.

 "If I took a direct hit, I'd be in much worse shape…"

Obito narrowed his eyes at the sight of Naruto's glowing form.

 "Lightning Style Chakra Mode… You've already mastered it. While it's not as physically strong as the Raikage's, its chakra attributes are more refined. I've never seen this kind of purple lightning before. You keep surprising me, Naruto… But the Tailed Beast Bomb still hurt you, didn't it?"

Naruto's eyes were calm.

"I think I've figured it out. You hid Gyūki, the Eight Tails, in your Kamui space and signed a contract with it, using it like a summon."

Obito's eyes narrowed.

 "Oh? You figured that out after just one attack? Impressive… But even if you know, it changes nothing."

Naruto smiled.

 "That might not be true. Gyūki wouldn't help you willingly, so you must be using genjutsu to control him. But a tailed beast can't be held in a Sharingan's genjutsu forever. That means your ability to make Gyūki fire Tailed Beast Bombs through Kamui must be limited."

Obito stayed silent.

It was true, he could currently force Gyūki to fire a Tailed Beast Bomb six times.

 One was already used.

 Five remained.

Naruto thought to himself: The way he uses tailed beasts is clever. Before he became the Ten Tails' jinchūriki, he lacked strong offensive power… but now, that weakness is gone.

Whoosh!

Just as he finished thinking, another Tailed Beast Bomb was already on its way!

"Alright… Sister Konan is safe now. I can use Flying Thunder God without holding back!"

Swish!

Naruto used the Flying Thunder God Technique to teleport back to the Rain Ninja side. After estimating the Tailed Beast Bomb's explosion had ended, he teleported back to the battlefield.

On the scorched ground, Obito looked gloomy.

"It seems you've really mastered your father's famous technique…"

Naruto smiled.

"Kamui has its advantages, and so does Flying Thunder God."

Obito narrowed his eyes.

"If I launch attacks one at a time, you'll just keep dodging."

Fwoosh! Fwoosh! Fwoosh!

Flames ignited from Obito's fingertips as he slammed both palms to the ground.

—Uchiha Flame Formation!

A massive barrier of purple fire rose, sealing off the battlefield!

Sizzle…!

This time, the seal patterns from Obito's palms spread onto the barrier walls, different from any Flame Formation seen before.

Naruto's expression changed. He could tell, his Flying Thunder God marks outside the barrier had been disconnected!

Obito said with a cold look,

"I've kept myself busy these past years, especially after I found out you learned Flying Thunder God. To stop you from jumping around, I merged the Uchiha Flame Formation with Kamui's space-time technique. Inside this barrier, you can't teleport outside using Flying Thunder God."

Naruto responded calmly,

"So I can still use it inside the barrier, right?"

Obito replied darkly,

"That won't matter… because what's coming next is an all-out, indiscriminate attack!"

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

Kamui swirled violently… and Obito unleashed four Tailed Beast Bombs from his eyes at once!

Right after, he activated his intangibility…

—Tailed Beast Bomb: Resonance of the Four Symbols!

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

A massive explosion erupted, and blazing flames swallowed the entire barrier in an instant!

Naruto narrowed his eyes and muttered to himself,

"Obito… you really are something else."

Just as the fiery shockwave was about to hit him, the Rinnegan in Naruto's left eye suddenly widened—

—Super Shinra Tensei!
