Naruto: Rebirth Of The Child Of Prophecy

Chapter 3: Reincarnation

"The Reincarnation Eye!" Naruto exclaimed in shock.

The Sage of Six Paths nodded solemnly. "That's right. The Samsara Eye, through the forbidden techniques of the Otsutsuki clan and the magical plow, can send a person's soul back to the past through time and space, reviving their original body. However, there are steep conditions and a great price to activate this forbidden technique."

The Sage raised his hand, counting each condition. "First, the practitioner must possess an immense amount of chakra. Second, the life sacrifice of the person casting the spell is required. Finally, the Samsara Eye can only be activated once. Upon use, it will immediately lose its light and cease to function."

Naruto furrowed his brows, deep in thought. "This forbidden technique of the Otsutsuki clan... it's like the Rinnegan's Six Paths of Reincarnation Technique. But this one allows someone to travel through time and space to resurrect themselves in their original body. Wait a second… if the Samsara Eye can only be used once, why doesn't Boruto just send himself back to the past? Why doesn't he go directly to see you, Six Paths?"

The Sage of Six Paths saw Naruto's confusion and explained patiently. "The Pure Eye that Boruto awakened is actually a fragment of the power my brother Hamura left behind. When Boruto fully awakens the Pure Eye, the chakra Hamura left within it will activate. Just as I left chakra in you and Sasuke, Hamura left his essence in Boruto. Once Boruto's Pure Eye reached its full potential, Hamura's spirit was able to guide him—just as I am guiding you now."

Naruto's eyes widened in realization.

The Sage continued, "My brother Hamura informed Boruto of everything. Boruto deliberately lost a battle and became a vessel, allowing himself to absorb an enormous amount of chakra. The spell engraved in his Pure Eye activated in this crucial moment. Additionally, Boruto obtained the magical plow beforehand, ensuring that he could successfully send you to meet me."

Naruto clenched his fists. "But why didn't Boruto send me directly to the past to fix everything?"

The Sage's gaze turned serious. "Reincarnation through time and space carries risks. Your soul might have been damaged, your memories lost, or even your original purpose forgotten. That is why Hamura and I acted as safeguards, ensuring you received this knowledge and mission before moving forward."

Naruto nodded slowly, the weight of this revelation settling on his shoulders.

The Sage of Six Paths continued, "I've already lost one bet before. This time, I dare not gamble recklessly again."

Understanding dawned on Naruto. Boruto had orchestrated everything, becoming the key to Naruto's resurrection. The Great Toad Sage's prophecy had declared Boruto the child of destiny, the one who would change the world.

Naruto's mind churned with questions. "But the Samsara Eye is gone. Boruto's Pure Eye has been used up to bring me here. How can I be resurrected now? And how will you ensure my memories remain intact?"

The Sage smiled faintly. "Guess how many eyes my brother Hamura had."

As he spoke, an eye appeared on the palm of his left hand. Naruto gasped. "Is that… the Pure Eye? No, it's the Samsara Eye!"

The Sage nodded. "My brother Hamura awakened both of his eyes. One was inherited by Boruto. The other has been with me as a contingency plan."

Naruto looked at him, stunned. "You planned for every possibility, didn't you? Truly, an immortal leaves nothing to chance."

The Sage's expression softened. "Now, it's your choice."

He raised his hand, and the Samsara Eye shimmered. "The technique can send you back to the past, but the exact point in time is uncertain. It is mere coincidence that you can see me in this time and space."

Naruto straightened. "What are my options?"

"First, I can rebirth you in the current timeline, directly into your original body. Second, you can choose to go further back in time to an earlier period. However, the exact point of arrival will be uncertain."

Naruto considered this carefully.

The Sage reassured him. "Whichever you choose, I can use the power of yin and yang to preserve your soul and memories, ensuring that they remain intact."

Naruto asked curiously, "If Boruto doesn't have yin-yang power, how did my soul travel intact?"

"Because the Pure Eye in Boruto and the one I hold are connected," the Sage explained. "The Pure Eyes, being my brother's creations, can communicate across time and space. Your soul entered through Boruto's eye and exited through mine."

Naruto's mind raced. He suddenly thought of Neji and blurted out, "How is Neji? Is he alive in the current timeline?"

The Sage's expression darkened. "He is dead."

Naruto's heart clenched. The memory of his friend's sacrifice felt fresh and raw, echoing in his mind.

"If I go back far enough, I can save him," Naruto muttered. His resolve hardened as he looked at the Sage of Six Paths. "I choose the second option. Send me further back."

The Sage's eyes glimmered with approval. "Are you sure?"

Naruto nodded firmly.

The Sage raised his left hand. Without removing the Rinnegan, he merged it with the Pure Eye, his spiritual form allowing the two to coexist.

Naruto stared in amazement.

In a flurry of intricate hand seals, the Sage of Six Paths unleashed the forbidden technique. "Reincarnation Technique!"

A radiant white light erupted from the Pure Eye, enveloping Naruto completely. Warmth surged through him, growing stronger as the light intensified. He looked at the Sage, who was growing fainter with every passing moment.

"Wait!" Naruto exclaimed. "If you're a spirit, what life are you sacrificing for this technique?"

The Sage smiled sadly. "Goodbye, Naruto. This time, it's truly goodbye. The future of the ninja world rests with you."

As his form disintegrated, the white light surrounding Naruto reached its peak, consuming him entirely and propelling him through the fabric of time and space.

When the light faded, the magical plow crumbled into ash, its purpose fulfilled.
