Naruto: Rebirth Of The Child Of Prophecy

Chapter 1: Choices

"Where am I?"

"I... didn't I die in the duel with Kawaki?"

The Seventh Hokage, Naruto Uzumaki, opened his eyes groggily, confusion etched across his face as he took in the sight before him. A vast white space stretched endlessly in every direction, its boundaries shrouded in an impenetrable haze.

He sat up, his voice echoing futilely in the emptiness as he called out, "Is anyone here? Can anyone hear me?"

Silence. Not even an echo responded to his cries. Naruto let out a weary sigh, his heart heavy with resignation.

"Maybe... this is heaven," he murmured.

As the stillness enveloped him, memories began to flood his mind.

He recalled his life's journey—the trials, triumphs, and sacrifices that had shaped him into the man he became.

When he was born, tragedy struck: both his parents perished, leaving him an orphan. His childhood was bleak—shunned by the villagers, his belly often empty, and his heart burdened by loneliness. But even amidst the despair, he clung to his dream.

At the age of twelve, his fate began to change. He met Iruka-sensei, the first person to acknowledge him. From Iruka's hands, he received his forehead protector and became a Genin of Konoha. Under Kakashi-sensei's guidance, he graduated from the Ninja Academy and took his first step into the shinobi world.

In the Land of Waves, Naruto faced death for the first time, stabbing his own hand with a kunai to overcome fear. That pain—raw and searing—became his foundation, solidifying the path of the ninja in his heart.

In the Chunin Exams, he defeated Neji, proving to the world that destiny could be rewritten. His victory against Gaara, who had transformed into a tailed beast, not only protected the village but also earned him respect and fame in Konoha.

Under the mentorship of Jiraiya, Naruto trained tirelessly, finding a father figure he could rely on. Together, they unraveled mysteries of the shinobi world.

He rescued Gaara, the Kazekage, from the clutches of the Akatsuki, forging peace between Konoha and Sunagakure. At sixteen, wielding the power of Sage Mode, he defeated the Akatsuki, shedding the title of "demon fox boy" and becoming Konoha's hero.

Through relentless training with Killer Bee, Naruto mastered the Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. He fought in the Fourth Great Ninja War, reconciled with Kurama, and became the perfect Jinchūriki. Together, they sealed Kaguya alongside Sasuke, bringing peace to the ninja world.

Years passed. With Kakashi stepping down, Naruto fulfilled his dream of becoming the Seventh Hokage.

Happiness graced his life—he married Hinata, started a family, and cherished the bonds he had fought so hard to protect. His friends found peace, his children thrived, and the world seemed unshakable.

But peace was fleeting.

Kaguya's fears proved true: the Otsutsuki Clan returned. Kinshiki, Momoshiki, Urashiki, Isshiki—each foe more fearsome than the last. Kaguya, once thought invincible, paled in comparison.

In the battle against Isshiki, Naruto suffered a devastating loss: Kurama, his lifelong partner, sacrificed himself. Sasuke, his trusted brother-in-arms, was maimed—his Rinnegan destroyed by Boruto, who had been overtaken by the will of Momoshiki.

Desperate, Naruto turned to prophecy. The Great Toad Sage foretold that Boruto would be the one to change the ninja world.

Naruto placed his hopes in his son, training Boruto tirelessly. With Sasuke's guidance, Boruto inherited his teacher's sword, cloak, and forehead protector, surpassing all previous Hokage.

Yet destiny remained cruel.

Kawaki, once a friend, fell under Kara's influence and turned against Boruto. He sought to resurrect the Infinite Tsukuyomi and plant a new God Tree, plunging the ninja world into chaos once more.

The Fifth Great Ninja War erupted.

Naruto clenched his fists as memories of the war surfaced—family, friends, comrades—all lost. He had watched them fall, one after another, as he stood helplessly at the rear, his weakened body unable to protect them.

Hinata. Himawari. Gaara. Kakashi. Iruka-sensei. Shikamaru.

The names echoed in his mind, each one a dagger to his heart. At the war's end, only he and Boruto remained. In a final act of love, Naruto sacrificed himself to shield his son, dying under Kawaki's ninjutsu.

"Why, why did it have to be this way?" Naruto muttered, his voice breaking as tears streamed down his face.

Suddenly, a voice interrupted his anguish, calm yet commanding.

"Both Boruto and Kawaki failed."

Naruto's head snapped up. His pupils widened as a figure emerged from the endless white.

"Grandpa... Sage of Six Paths?"

Hagoromo Otsutsuki smiled gently.

"We meet again, child of prophecy."

Naruto rushed forward, desperation in his voice.

"What do you mean they failed? Didn't Kawaki side with the Otsutsuki? What happened to Boruto? To the ninja world?"

Hagoromo's expression darkened.

"After your death, Boruto and Kawaki fought side by side against the Otsutsuki. Kawaki understood the Moon Eye's true purpose and sought redemption. Yet, even together, they could not prevail. Both became vessels for the Otsutsuki."

Naruto staggered back, disbelief written across his face.

"No... this can't be. Boruto was supposed to be the one to save us! The Great Toad Sage said—"

Hagoromo interrupted, his tone grave.

"The prophecy was not wrong."

Naruto's breath hitched as he stared at the Sage, tears frozen on his cheeks.

"Then why? Why did everything still fall apart? Why did we lose?"

Hagoromo gazed at him with sorrowful eyes.

"Because the prophecy's true meaning has yet to be revealed."

Naruto's world tilted. Hope, long thought extinguished, flickered faintly.

What could it mean? What role would he still play?

As the white expanse loomed around him, the Seventh Hokage braced himself for answers—and a new beginning.
