"THUMP!"

The sudden, powerful heartbeat caused Yagura to pause mid-attack, his bestial instincts momentarily confused by the unexpected sound.

The partially transformed Jinchūriki's inhuman head swiveled around, discovering several wooden spikes embedded deep within his whipping tail. The foreign objects were rapidly draining the chakra from his body with frightening efficiency.

This represented the fundamental restriction that Wood Style techniques imposed upon all Tailed Beasts!

Previously, Uchiha Obito had been incapable of achieving this level of suppression. While he could still execute the Cutting Sprigs Technique, the wooden projectiles he created lacked the crucial ability to absorb chakra from their targets.

However, after awakening from his serious injuries sustained in battle with Naraku, Obito's capabilities had increased exponentially beyond their former limitations!

His Wood Style ninjutsu had evolved dramatically as a result, now capable of easily suppressing even the mighty Tailed Beasts!

"Wood Style: Adamantine Sealing Chains!"

As Obito completed the necessary hand seals, several thick, flourishing tree trunks erupted from the ground and rapidly surrounded Yagura's struggling form. The chakra absorption capacity of his Wood Style techniques increased dramatically with this enhanced binding method.

"ROAAAAAR!"

Yagura fought desperately against his wooden restraints, but his strength continued diminishing with each passing second as the parasitic wood drained his energy. Soon, he found himself completely immobilized despite his frantic efforts.

The two most effective methods for controlling Tailed Beasts involved either the hypnotic power of the Sharingan or the suppressive capabilities of Wood Style techniques. Uchiha Obito now possessed both advantages in devastating combination.

"Since you harbor such terror of Sharingan genjutsu, perhaps you should sleep within illusions forever!" Obito declared with sadistic satisfaction.

Uchiha Obito approached slowly, the three tomoe within his scarlet pupils beginning to spin with hypnotic patterns. He focused his malevolent gaze upon the bound Yagura, preparing to unleash a permanent genjutsu that would trap his victim in endless nightmares.

"ROOOOOAR!"

As if hearing the most forbidden words imaginable, Yagura suddenly erupted with renewed strength born of pure desperation. His body twisted and writhed continuously as he fought to break free from the Wood Style restraints through sheer force of will.

"It appears you remain reluctant to enter the beautiful world I have carefully crafted for your eternal imprisonment," Obito observed with mock sympathy. "Unfortunately, this choice is no longer yours to make!"

"Before the final genjutsu takes hold, please experience this moment carefully. Consider it my parting gift of mercy!"

The power within his eyes exploded outward as Obito's Sharingan genjutsu began taking effect. Yagura's desperate struggles slowed dramatically as the overwhelming illusion prepared to seize control of his consciousness once again.

"Twin Swords: Flounder!"

"Release!"

Hōzuki Mangetsu suddenly appeared on the battlefield, grasping his massive and distinctively shaped dual swords. The protective bandages floated away as he channeled his remaining life force, causing his chakra to surge and explode with tremendous power as he brought the weapons down with devastating force.

"BOOOOM!"

The energy cannon formed by concentrated chakra erupted violently, completely destroying the Wood Style restraints that had bound Yagura. The liberated Tailed Beast broke free with a triumphant roar!

"Water Style: Hidden Mist Technique!"

The moment Mangetsu achieved his objective, he immediately leaped to safety while Terumi Mei behind him expelled thick fog from her mouth like rolling waves, completely obscuring the surrounding battlefield.

The dense mist spread with remarkable speed, immediately enveloping Obito's position. The opaque fog blocked his vision entirely, making pursuit of the escaping targets impossible.

However, Terumi Mei's assault was far from finished!

"Boil Style: Skilled Mist Technique!"

Highly concentrated acid vapor capable of melting and dissolving virtually any material began merging with the existing fog, rushing toward Obito's location with lethal intent.

Obito immediately activated his intangibility state, watching with his own eyes as the sturdy Wood Style constructs at his feet were dissolved within seconds!

"What a terrifyingly destructive kekkei genkai!" he acknowledged with grudging respect.

Before the corrosive acid mist could spread completely throughout the area, Obito retreated rapidly from the affected zone. His intangible state couldn't continue indefinitely - he would be forced to stop and become solid again after maintaining the technique for ten consecutive minutes.

This represented a significant improvement following his dramatic power increase. Previously, Obito had only been capable of maintaining intangibility for five minutes at maximum duration.

After quickly withdrawing from the acid mist's effective range, Obito launched his counterattack without waiting for the Mist Ninja to regroup for another assault.

"Fire Style: Explosive Wind Dance!"

The moment his Mangekyō Sharingan's space-time technique distorted reality around him, violent winds swept across the battlefield, followed immediately by serpentine flames. The extraordinarily powerful Fire Style technique instantly expanded and spread throughout the surrounding area.

The scorching high-temperature flames evaporated all moisture in the air within seconds, completely dispersing the concealing mist and revealing the true battlefield conditions.

"Tailed Beast Bomb!"

At that critical moment, Obito discovered with alarm that Yagura had maintained his half-transformed state and was already condensing another compact Tailed Beast Bomb between his hands.

"Impossible!"

The devastating energy sphere launched toward Obito with arrow-like speed, crossing the distance between them in a heartbeat.

"Fool!" Obito snarled dismissively.

"BOOOOOM..."

A deafening explosion erupted across the battlefield, sending flames shooting high into the sky while the entire island began shaking violently, as if struck by a natural disaster of catastrophic proportions.

Thick black smoke billowed upward, seeming to stain the very sky with darkness and despair.

An enormous mushroom cloud towered between heaven and earth, creating an apocalyptic scene that would haunt witnesses for years to come.

Pale white shock waves crushed everything in their path with merciless efficiency. Even the Mist Ninja who had taken cover at safe distances found themselves knocked down by the hurricane-force winds generated by the explosion.

Time passed slowly as the tremendous forces gradually subsided and returned the battlefield to relative calm.

Smoke continued rising from the devastated landscape while tiny sparks of residual fire still flickered among the ruins.

A perfectly semicircular crater had appeared where the explosion occurred, creating a monument to the Tailed Beast's destructive capabilities!

"This is the true power of a Tailed Beast!" gasped one Mist Ninja who was witnessing a Tailed Beast Bomb for the first time, completely stunned by the overwhelming destruction before his eyes.

The more experienced Mist Ninja remained composed and alert. They had witnessed even larger explosions during previous conflicts, so this level of devastation, while impressive, didn't shock them as severely.

Yagura had not yet achieved complete Tailed Beast transformation, meaning the Tailed Beast Bomb he released in his current half-transformed state represented only a fraction of his potential destructive output.

High Above the Battlefield

"So this is where they were hiding!" Naraku observed from his aerial vantage point, arms folded as he surveyed the battle that had just concluded below.

"No wonder I couldn't locate them during my earlier search. We're already deep within the Water Country's territorial waters. The distance was simply too great for my initial detection range!"

Naraku watched the developing conflict with casual interest, though he understood that despite the Tailed Beast Bomb's impressive explosive power, Obito's Kamui ability rendered such attacks completely ineffective.

"Now the real fight begins!" he noted with professional appreciation.

Obito emerged from the massive explosion completely unharmed, immediately launching surprise attacks against the scattered Mist Ninja forces. Three unfortunate shinobi were caught completely off-guard and died instantly from his assault.

However, before the surviving Mist Ninja could mount an effective counterattack, Yagura charged back into the fray with bestial fury.

The critical problem was that the half-transformed Yagura appeared to have lost all rational thought due to the genjutsu influence he had experienced. He showed no concern whatsoever about whether his attacks might harm the Mist Ninja forces attempting to rescue him.

Within moments, the remaining Kirigakure forces suffered severe additional casualties from their own ally's indiscriminate violence.

Obito deliberately maneuvered the maddened Yagura toward clusters of Mist Ninja, exploiting the confusion to maximize their losses through friendly fire incidents.

In this chaotic battlefield environment, Terumi Mei and Hōzuki Mangetsu - the strongest fighters among the Mist Ninja - found themselves unable to mount any effective counterattack. Both Yagura and Uchiha Obito moved with such incredible speed that targeting them proved virtually impossible.

Attempting to use large-scale techniques would inevitably harm their own comrades, creating an impossible tactical situation.

"Scatter! Everyone spread out immediately!" Hōzuki Mangetsu commanded while hurling his twin swords with explosive chakra enhancement, creating a burst of flames that engulfed Obito's position.

"Cough!" Before he could assess the damage inflicted on his target, Mangetsu suddenly coughed up blood as his face turned deathly pale.

His deteriorating physical condition had reached its absolute limit. If the battle continued much longer, Hōzuki Mangetsu would die from his illness without Obito needing to lift a finger!

Despite the tactical risk of allowing enemies to defeat them individually, the other Mist Ninja dispersed across the battlefield to avoid the rampaging Yagura's indiscriminate attacks.

Taking advantage of this tactical adjustment, Terumi Mei finally had space to demonstrate her full capabilities. She alternated between Lava Style and Boil Style techniques, dealing tremendous damage while covering the majority of the battlefield with her devastating kekkei genkai.

Highly corrosive acid vapor and molten rock spread everywhere, forcing Obito to use Fire Style techniques to clear the area while constantly repositioning to avoid the worst effects.

"Did you notice that the enemy's intangibility ability has a definite time limitation?" Hōzuki Mangetsu whispered urgently to Terumi Mei while struggling to control his labored breathing.

Terumi Mei observed Obito's movements with tactical precision before responding: "I noticed the same pattern. The previous time he maintained intangibility for approximately four minutes, but this most recent duration lasted six minutes!"

"That means if we want to inflict actual damage on our enemy, we must maintain continuous pressure for at least six minutes without pause!"

"Exactly - at least six minutes of sustained assault! And that's our most optimistic estimate. If the actual duration exceeds our calculations by too much, we'll have no viable method for defeating him."
