Naruto: One Click Maxed Ninjutsu and Tsunade Lost It!

Chapter 29 – There Are No Useless Jutsu, Only Useless Shinobi!

The nearby river was providing Zabuza with a constant supply of water—allowing him to greatly reduce the chakra cost of his Water Style jutsu.

He had the terrain and the timing on his side. "How are you going to fight me now?!"

"This is it!"

With the dense mist now completely shrouding the battlefield, Zabuza activated his Mist Body Flicker Technique. Using Hidden Mist Jutsu to fill the air, he moved silently and invisibly within the fog—perfect for a stealthy kill.

"Die!!!"

Slipping behind Nagi, Zabuza raised his kunai for the finishing strike.

The only regret? That his Executioner's Blade had been taken. Otherwise, he would've loved to let it taste fresh blood again.

What he didn't notice was Nagi's expression—calm and unfazed.

Clang!

In one fluid motion, Nagi spun around, pulled the Executioner's Blade from his scroll, and slashed.

The strike was seamless.

Zabuza only realized what was happening when it was far too late.

The blade tore across his chest.

Had Nagi been fully used to wielding such a massive weapon, that strike might have ended Zabuza right then and there.

Splurt!

No way… How?!

Zabuza was sent flying, eyes wide with disbelief.

How had Nagi spotted his position?

With Hidden Mist Jutsu active, he should've been completely undetectable!

Gah!

He coughed up a mouthful of blood as the gash across his chest gushed freely.

He'd been wounded… by his own Executioner's Blade.

With Zabuza injured and unable to maintain the jutsu, the mist began to rapidly clear.

"What?! Lord Zabuza?!"

"What just happened?!"

As the fog faded, everyone watching was stunned.

Haku couldn't believe his eyes—someone had actually landed a hit on Lord Zabuza while he was using Hidden Mist Jutsu.

And with his own blade, no less!

He stared at Nagi with a newfound wariness. This guy… was not to be trifled with.

"What just happened? That scary-looking guy just collapsed out of nowhere!"

Naruto was completely lost.

He hadn't seen a thing through the mist.

"It was Nagi! Nagi wounded him with that huge blade!"

Sasuke's voice was full of shock.

Thanks to the Sharingan's extraordinary perception, he could vaguely track chakra positions.

It looked like Zabuza had tried to ambush Nagi from behind… but Nagi had seen right through it and struck first!

"That's insane… Nagi doesn't even have the Sharingan and yet he could see in those conditions!"

Sasuke could no longer remain composed.

Even with his Sharingan, all he saw was a blur—it wasn't clear at all.

Yet Nagi had instantly pinpointed Zabuza's location in the thick mist and landed a clean strike.

Just how strong was he now?

"As expected… there are no useless jutsu. Only useless shinobi."

Nagi hadn't expected it, but the passive ability he unlocked through the system had proven crucial.

At first, he thought it was underwhelming: it only let him see through illusion-type and mist-type techniques. It didn't grant genjutsu immunity, so it felt kind of niche.

But now, in a fight against a Hidden Mist shinobi, it was absolutely invaluable.

Even in the densest fog, his vision had been crystal clear.

He'd calmly watched Zabuza circle him in silence… and when Zabuza chose to strike from behind—

He countered cleanly.

"There's no way! My Hidden Mist Jutsu is elite level! How could you see through it?!"

Cough, cough!

Zabuza still couldn't accept that someone had bested him in the very technique he was most proud of.

"Nothing's impossible. If you have any last words, you'd better say them now."

"Otherwise, you might not get the chance."

Nagi glanced toward the place where Haku was hiding.

According to the script, Haku should be stepping in soon to rescue Zabuza.

"I still don't know your name…"

Zabuza, already too injured to run, simply half-knelt and asked.

"Nagi."

Nagi didn't mind granting him that much.

Zabuza knew he'd lost.

Who would've thought a no-name genin could be this powerful?

He now firmly believed that Konoha had been hiding its true power all along.

With someone this strong, how had they ever been forced to seek peace in every previous Great Ninja War?

And the most terrifying part?

Nagi was barely in his teens.

If he was already this strong now… what would he become in the future?

Just as everyone thought the battle was over, several senbon needles suddenly shot from the shadows, piercing Zabuza's body.

Even before Kakashi and the others could react, Zabuza had lost all signs of life.

"Who's there?!"

Naruto and the others quickly tensed up again.

"Heh."

Nagi simply chuckled.

Someone showing up now to KS his kill? Who else could it be but Haku?

"Naruto, stop overreacting!"

Sakura rolled her eyes at him, then turned to look at Nagi with admiration.

As if, with him around, nothing could ever go wrong.
