Naruto : Ninja school teacher, I can become stronger by teaching

Chapter 68: Chapter 68: Who Will Be First?

"Might Guy, do you remember me? Your strength is indeed good, but encountering me here, you can only stop at this point," Hayato Hyuga said with a look of regret, forming the Confrontation Seal.

Although Might Guy had the strength to be second, encountering the first meant he could only fall in the second round.

"Uh, who are you?" Might Guy scratched his head, trying hard to recall his opponent, but couldn't.

"Are you perhaps Hayato Hyuga?" Might Guy vaguely remembered the proctor's announcement just now.

His fists clenched.

Hayato Hyuga felt like Might Guy was humiliating him.

"I am Hayato Hyuga, who defeated you in the last exam! It's Hayato, not Hatoya!" Hayato Hyuga couldn't help but correct him, deciding he would make Might Guy see some color during the battle.

"I understand." Might Guy formed the Confrontation Seal and nodded.

"Start the exam!"

As soon as the proctor's voice fell, Hayato Hyuga directly activated his Byakugan, the veins around his eyes bulging, making his face look somewhat fierce. With the Byakugan's enhancement, everything about Might Guy was seen through by Hayato Hyuga; he could easily see Might Guy's chakra pathways, pressure points, and flowing chakra.

Without hesitation, Hayato Hyuga chose to concentrate chakra in his palm and attack proactively. With Gentle Fist and Byakugan, two major close-combat weapons, Hayato Hyuga didn't think anyone in the Ninja Academy could be stronger than him in close combat. The Byakugan allowed him to see through his opponent's movements, and Gentle Fist combined with Byakugan could directly strike chakra into the opponent's acupoints, blocking chakra flow.

But something Hayato Hyuga didn't expect happened: his fist, aimed at Might Guy, was swiftly grabbed by Might Guy. Hayato Hyuga's other hand continued to attack Might Guy's chakra pathways and acupoints, but it was also grabbed. Hayato Hyuga quickly began to attack with his legs, but kicking techniques were Might Guy's specialty. Might Guy immediately released Hayato Hyuga's hands and unleashed an extremely fast whirlwind kick, sending Hayato Hyuga stumbling back three meters.

"How is this possible? I clearly saw it, but my body…" Hayato Hyuga's hands trembled as he looked at Might Guy in disbelief. He had just seen through Might Guy's movements, but found his body couldn't react in time. This was the first time he had encountered such a situation.

"Hayato Hyuga is actually at a disadvantage in a taijutsu exchange!" The surrounding students were stunned. Ever since Kakashi graduated, their grade had largely been under Hayato Hyuga's dominance, and everyone who tried to compete with Hayato Hyuga in taijutsu had suffered painful lessons.

"Is Might Guy really that formidable? Last time he reached second place, and this time he's going for first!" Might Guy's fierce performance immediately surprised many.

"Go, Might Guy!" Isami Ikeda couldn't help but cheer for Might Guy when he saw him actually suppressing Hayato Hyuga, who was first in the last exam. He felt like he saw a thick bonus waving at him.

"Cough cough, Teacher Ikeda, you are the proctor this time, pay attention," the nearby proctor quietly reminded Isami Ikeda, seeing him excitedly cheering. Isami Ikeda then realized, quickly closed his mouth, but couldn't stop the smile on his face.

"Although Might Guy has the upper hand, the final outcome is still uncertain. As long as he gets hit by Gentle Fist once, his offensive rhythm will be completely disrupted," a teacher commented. Some teachers nodded in agreement. Hayato Hyuga's mistakes would at most cause him pain for a while, but if Might Guy got hit by Gentle Fist, things would be serious; having chakra injected into his body was no joke. In other words, Hayato Hyuga had many opportunities to make mistakes, while Might Guy faced the risk of defeat with just one mistake.

Isami Ikeda glanced and saw that the speaker was Hayato Hyuga's homeroom teacher. He didn't retort, as Hayato Hyuga had taken first place so many times, Isami Ikeda wasn't very confident.

What happened next exceeded many people's expectations. Hayato Hyuga desperately launched several attacks on Might Guy, but didn't hit him once. Instead, Hayato Hyuga was caught by Might Guy and kicked again while attacking.

"Good heavens, if you covered their eyes, you wouldn't know that Might Guy is the one with the Byakugan!" The students were awed by Might Guy. Previously, it was always Hayato Hyuga who saw through his opponent's movements and easily dodged, but this time the roles were completely reversed.

"You only see Guy's current movements, but you don't know what he has been through," Obito couldn't help but recall his own and Might Guy's miserable experiences when he heard the surrounding students' discussions. Getting hit once meant doing two problems, and the battle started with dozens of problems already assigned. They had to hit the opponent without being hit themselves to reduce the number of problems. It was precisely undergoing this terrifying training that forged Might Guy's current movements. Obito still had some installment problems left to finish.

"Damn it, what's going on?" Hayato Hyuga, who had been on the defensive, began to get anxious. He didn't understand why things turned out this way. Might Guy wasn't that strong in their last battle, so how could his strength have increased so much in two months?

Hayato Hyuga, anxious to turn the tide, exposed more openings. Might Guy concentrated chakra in his leg and burst forth, seizing the opening to deliver his currently most skilled kick at extreme speed.

"Leaf Great Whirlwind!"

Bang!

The rapidly spinning leg, enhanced with chakra, forcefully kicked Hayato Hyuga, directly sending him to the ground, incapacitated and unable to fight.

"Candidate number four, Might Guy, wins!" The proctor announced Might Guy's victory.

All the proctoring teachers gave Might Guy a perfect score of ten for his taijutsu. Hayato Hyuga's taijutsu score was 9.9, but the teachers knew the difference between the two was more than just 0.1 points.

"It was indeed difficult for Might Guy to fight Hayato Hyuga. Luckily, he wasn't hit by Gentle Fist even once, or it would have been terrible," Isami Ikeda said with a smile, already feeling the scent of a bonus. Hayato Hyuga's homeroom teacher opened his mouth but ultimately said nothing.

"It looks like Might Guy will be first this time; even Hayato Hyuga was defeated by him." The observing students felt that the first place of this grade exam had already been determined.

"Not necessarily. Obito Uchiha's Fire Style ninjutsu is very strong. Even if Might Guy's taijutsu is strong, can he really withstand Fire Style ninjutsu at this stage?" Tecca Uchiha couldn't help but retort. He had lost to Obito again in his class's practical exam, so he hoped Obito could reach first place.

Soon, Obito also proved with his combat power that Tecca Uchiha's words were not empty. Genma Shiranui, the first in Class Six, was easily defeated by Obito. Powerful Fire Style and decent taijutsu directly made Obito replace the defeated Hayato Hyuga as a strong contender for first place.

If he didn't still have to proctor and score, Isami Ikeda would have already wanted to drag Muyue to an izakaya for a drink. With these two students in hand, why would he worry about not getting a bonus, or not getting enough bonus?
