Naruto : Ninja school teacher, I can become stronger by teaching

Chapter 35: The Clever Asuma

"No, even if the money wasn't given to you, it's still our family's own; how could that be a profit?!" Asuma clarified his thoughts and retorted.

"Then you're truly brilliant," Muyue praised with a smile.

Although he was praised, Asuma felt an indescribable strangeness.

"Anyway, go resign to the old man; I don't need a tutor." Asuma leaned back against a tree, giving up.

"Since you don't want me to teach you, why don't you just not follow me, or tell the Third Hokage and them directly?" Muyue suggested.

"Do you think I'm stupid? If I did that, wouldn't all the responsibility fall on me?" Asuma said, tilting his head slightly with a proud expression.

The Third Hokage wouldn't care much, but Asuma was more afraid of his mother Biwako getting angry.

Muyue secretly nodded to himself, Indeed, he's quite naive. If I resign using the excuse that Asuma is uncooperative, then Asuma would still be the one to take the blame.

However, he had no reason to do so, as it was too easy to manipulate a nine-year-old kid like Asuma.

"Why are you so resistant to tutoring?" Muyue didn't rush Asuma into training, but continued chatting with him.

"You wouldn't understand even if I told you," Asuma shook his head, looking as if to say,

you wouldn't understand until you reach my age.

"Why wouldn't I understand? It's simply that you don't like your father's arrangements," Muyue stated directly.

Based on Asuma's identity and his own personality, it was easy to deduce the reason for Asuma's rebellion.

Asuma himself was talented; not comparing him to those "cheat" players, he was considered a genius. He didn't seem to slack off in training either, and Muyue could see that Asuma had a good foundation.

But because of his identity as the Third Hokage's son, his own efforts might ultimately be dismissed with a casual, "As expected of the Third Hokage's child."

Effort would be taken for granted, and a lack of effort would be criticized by many.

If things continued like this, it would be strange if Asuma and the Third Hokage's father-son relationship were good.

Graduating and becoming a ninja, feeling like he had grown up, and then the Third Hokage still hiring a tutor — this clearly made Asuma feel completely underestimated.

"You can only see the surface of things," Asuma still had that "you wouldn't understand" expression, until Muyue uttered his next sentence.

"Isn't it because all your hard training ultimately only earned you a phrase like, 'As expected of the Third Hokage's child'?" Muyue said with a chuckle.

Asuma's face instantly changed drastically, and he looked at Muyue with some horror. This was something he had never told anyone, and for Muyue to suddenly point it out made him feel a terrifying sense of being forcibly torn open and having his inner self exposed.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Asuma stubbornly insisted.

But his restless hands betrayed his inner panic.

"If you want to prove yourself, you should accept tutoring even more. Strengthen your abilities and prove yourself with your power," Muyue continued.

"After all, the current you really can't be called excellent," Muyue directly denied Asuma's strength.

First, having his inner feelings exposed, then being completely dismissed, Asuma immediately grew anxious and argued:

"I was often first in my class at the Ninja Academy; how can I not be considered excellent?"

Muyue chuckled and said, "Do you believe me when I say that if I randomly find a student who just started the Ninja Academy right now, you wouldn't be able to beat them?"

Asuma was angered into laughter. If it were a graduate, fine, but a student who just started the Ninja Academy? Even if it was Kakashi, who had just started the Ninja Academy, he wouldn't be afraid.

"Go find one if you dare. If I lose, I'll listen to whatever you say from now on," Asuma directly laid down a challenge.

"Of course, if I win, you go resign," Asuma added.

"It's a deal then," Muyue smiled.

Immediately after, Muyue sent a Shadow Clone to bring Shisui over.

Asuma sized up Shisui, feeling that Muyue probably wasn't lying; he indeed looked like a child who had just started the Ninja Academy.

"This is Uchiha Shisui, a student in my class. He's six years old and just started first grade this year."

"This is Sarutobi Asuma, a genin who just graduated this year."

Muyue introduced them to each other.

"Uchiha Shisui, right? I'll tell you now, if you can't handle it later, surrender quickly to avoid injury. I won't hold back," Asuma said.

"Sarutobi-senpai, I'll be careful," Shisui said seriously.

"Begin!" Muyue wasted no time, immediately announcing the start after the two took their stances.

As soon as Muyue's words fell, Asuma instantly charged forward, rapidly swinging his fists towards Shisui.

Shisui met him calmly and began close-quarters combat with Asuma.

The two exchanged blows, and despite his larger stature, Asuma didn't gain any advantage.

Asuma's expression changed. After two exchanges, he realized that Shisui was not simple, but he didn't expect him to be so troublesome.

Not only did he fail to gain an advantage, but Asuma was even caught off guard by Shisui who capitalized on his eagerness to gain an advantage, sending him retreating three meters with a Leaf Hurricane Kick.

However, Shisui did not press his advantage, because Muyue told him when he brought him over to try and defeat Asuma in all aspects.

A freshly graduated Genin being kicked back three meters in taijutsu by a student who had just started the Ninja Academy, even with only Muyue watching, made Asuma feel like he was losing face, his face flushing red.

Ignoring why Shisui didn't pursue, Asuma's mind had only one thought at this moment: defeat Shisui, regain his face, and prove himself.

"Fire Style: Blazing Fire Technique!" Asuma quickly formed hand signs, chakra bursting forth, and exhaled a large amount of flames.

"Fire Style: Great Fireball Jutsu!" Shisui also began forming hand signs, condensing a large amount of chakra in his mouth, then exhaling it and transforming it into flames.

The two Fire Style jutsu collided. Shisui's fire, which had more flames and greater intensity, quickly overwhelmed Asuma's Fire Style, then continued to rush towards Asuma.

Asuma, caught off guard by the ninjutsu clash, stood dumbfounded as the fireball continuously approached him, making no move.

He was wondering why, why he would lose to a student who had just entered the Ninja Academy, and such a crushing defeat at that.

He was kicked three meters back in taijutsu, and completely suppressed in ninjutsu.

Am I truly useless except for my identity as the Third Hokage's son? Asuma began to deeply question himself.

The fireball gradually approached. Feeling the heat radiating from the flames, Asuma finally snapped out of it and moved to dodge, but with his speed, he couldn't avoid being affected by the fireball.

At this point, Muyue intervened, his chakra bursting forth as he quickly formed hand signs.

"Water Style: Water Formation Wall!"

A thick wall of water appeared in front of Asuma, blocking the incoming large fireball.

"Sensei..."
