Kurenai greeted him, looking at the shinobi. However, her mind was still occupied by the image of Reko running away.

"Don't worry about that guy. But what he said was kind of true. The Hokage would indeed give him another task that's why he ran away so shamelessly.

You can just go and submit the mission report by yourself."

Genma explained.

"I see. Thanks Genma."

Kurenai nodded as if understanding. She did not have much clue about the matter. Although, she did know that Genma was one of the personal guards of Lady Tsunade. So, whatever he said must be somewhat true.

Thanking Genma, Kurenai headed to report to the Hokage.

Half an hour passed.

"From their interaction, and Kurenai's words, it appears that there was no such thing as a collaboration between them."

Tsunade mumbled to herself as she leaned on her chair, thinking about what could have happened behind the scenes.

Kurenai had reported how Reko finished all the enemies. It was within her expectations that Reko had very strong combat power, above that of normal Jonins.

But she was not able to make a clear picture of Danzo's involvement here.

"Danzo is a peculiar case. We don't know what his objective is.

It could actually be that he wanted to assess Reko in combat."

Since she could not get to the root of it, she could only speculate now. One of the few reasons she could think of was Danzo's desire for threat evaluation.

Tsunade smiled, unwilling to strain the relationship between Reko and her for this. Though, it was not as simple as just ignoring this incident.

'Since he craves power and opportunities so much then I will push him more this time.'

She had a glint in her eyes. Next month, she will begin the final step of training for Reko and Sakura. She will prepare well this time.

"I see. It's good that you think like that, Lady Tsunade."

Shizune seemed assured after Tsunade had explained herself. She had spent quite a lot of time with Reko and did not want him to get at the bad side of Lady Tsunade.

Even now, she still did not reveal the incident with Momo to Lady Tsunade. Shizune had hidden it well for some reason. The secret remained hidden, deep in her heart.
