Chapter 58: Chapter 58 Danzo, do you want to be a pig girl?

The two of them walked one after the other on the street. In total, over ten people greeted Danzo, but not one person greeted Akira.

Akira didn't care. The ones who knew him were probably too busy to spend time shopping. That was why he always felt comfortable dropping by the Hokage's office to bother Monkey whenever he had the chance.

As they neared Akira's residence, the crowd on the street noticeably dwindled. Even then, Danzo showed no sign of leaving.

"If you're not gonna say anything, I'm heading inside. Mito doesn't like it when I bring women home, even the ones that I hate."

Akira made his disdain clear without holding back. Danzo's expression stayed completely neutral.

Now that the subject had shifted, she no longer intended to hide her intent or retreat from it either. The person in front of her was clearly her last option.

Without hesitation, Danzo spoke plainly.

"Lord Akira, I want to be Hokage."

"Oh?"

Akira stopped walking and looked at Danzo with surprise. To announce one's ambition in the middle of the street-there was some respect to be had in that kind of boldness.

It made her wonder what exactly Sarutobi Hiruzen had done to drive this woman, who had once supported him from behind to this point. More than that, someone who dared to go directly against Monkey's vision could be useful. Akira began forming plans for how to maneuver Danzo into position as another piece in her game.

"Reason?"

"I don't want to be some ordinary woman. If I'm gonna be one then I'll be the biggest one."

Danzo's tone was calm and even, but her intent couldn't have been clearer.

Akira liked that answer. Someone who understood their limits and strengths at once was bound to do whatever was needed. As for fear of betrayal? That wasn't part of her concern. This world belonged to monsters born from bloodlines-and she had spent over ten years studying every step of this game while holding the entire script in her hands.

"Come in with me."

Danzo's lips lifted slightly at the corner.

They entered through the courtyard of the Senju estate together. The main hall was under renovation. Off to one side, Tsunade was practicing with her kunai and targets. The moment she saw the two enter together-her scream echoed across the yard.

"Grandma Mito! Grandpa brought home another woman!"

Boom!

Akira's Flying Thunder God activated behind Tsunade with a snap, and she caught a slap across the back of her head before the attacker vanished again with body flicker speed.

"Ouch!" Tsunade sat holding her cheek, eyes welling up as she glanced around for whoever had done it. She found no one but deep down, she knew who it was. Grandma Mito's 'dead ghost' had struck again.

Grumbling under her breath and rubbing her head, Tsunade glared up at Danzo with suspicion but said nothing else.

"Let's go," Akira said without slowing down.

he took Danzo straight into the side hall and sat down. The tea was poured, but by the time anyone touched it, the steam had long since faded into silence. Akira sat calmly but spoke not even one word.

Danzo eventually gave in and asked what she had to, quiet frustration laced beneath each syllable.

"Lord Akira… how do I become Hokage?"

Akira snapped out of his thoughts and turned back toward the woman across from her.

"What are you offering me?"

"What does Lord Akira want?"

Danzo said it without stuttering even once-prepared to offer anything it would take.

"Ahaha… don't blame me later."

Akira nearly grinned at the perfect opportunity laid out in front of him. A special tool for driving cracks through Sarutobi Hiruzen's hold on Konoha, that was exactly what he needed now.

"Forget conditions for now-I'll teach you how to reach that seat," he offered casually.

"…Ah?"

Danzo looked stunned. Everyone else climbed over corpses for even one chance-and this mab tossed out the methods as if giving away candy?

Relaxing again, Danzo quickly caught herself and bowed low, kneeling with precision in front of her mentor-to-be.

"Please show me the way… Lord Akira."

Akira leaned back slightly and shrugged lazily.

"There are three ways: annoying, easy… and super easy."

Danzo winced but didn't interrupt. Akira continued without mercy.

"I'll explain so even you get it-after the war ends, there's gonna be another Five Kage Summit, right? Send someone to kill Monkey before or during that meeting, blame it on another country, stir up another war, then drop some genius-level tactics and 'accidentally' kill Hiruzen along with the old girls hanging around him."

His fingers tapped lightly against his teacup once before he finished.

"Congratulations, you're Hokage now."

"…What? That's your definition of super easy?"

Danzo stared blankly at hhim, not even sure where to begin arguing. Start another war? Frame international crime? Kill half the elders on accident?

Every piece of the plan sounded suicidal-and somehow Akira framed it like he was handing over instructions to bake bread.

With effort, she restrained herself from arguing out loud and instead nodded slightly, choosing a compromise route.

"Lord Akira… I only want to become Hokage. I don't want to kill Hiruzen. Is there… another way?"

"…Some women are just too much trouble."

Akira's lame complaint earned nothing but strained silence as Danzo nearly rolled her eyes.

"Fine then-if super simple's too hard… then pick simple. You know anything about raising pigs?"

"…Huh?"

Danzo froze completely.

One moment they were talking about political assassination-and now they were talking about livestock?

"Lord Akira… I-I don't understand…"

Akira stared plainly back at her and raised one eyebrow just high enough to make it seem serious again.

"Danzo… do you want to be a pig girl?"

Danzo: ( ??w?? )
