Before the man even stepped into view, his loud presence reached them first-voice booming with arrogance and low laughter echoing off the trees.

Kinkaku dropped onto the stone platform with a heavy grunt. The golden mane on his head bounced as he straightened up, muscles taut beneath his Hidden Cloud flak vest. The word "Gold" gleamed on his shoulder plate, and the twin horns sprouting from his skull marked him unmistakably. Ginkaku followed behind with the same brute confidence, his silver strands swinging as he leaped down beside his brother. The rest of their squad scattered out in tight formation, each ninja wearing the same crooked grin.

Tobirama stood with his mouth covered, stone-faced and unreadable, but even from where Akira stood, he could see Kinkaku's expression sour at the sight of the mask.

"Hey Tobirama," Kinkaku barked. "What's that? You afraid we'll gas you like Hanzo? That Rain Country coward? Come on. I'll even give you one hand free." He puffed out his chest and spread his arms, taunting with every word.

Tobirama shot Akira one look. Sharp and fast, he wanted Akira to speak for him.

Akira raised both middle fingers at Kinkaku and lifted my chin. "Sweet and tender wine!"

There was half a breath of stunned silence before shouting exploded around us.

"What the fuck did he just say?!"

"Kill that piece of shit!"

"Asshole!"

Their curses came faster than their brains could process how stupid they sounded. Akira just sighed and picked at his ear out of boredom. After giving them enough time to blow steam, he flicked he fingers behind my back and charged the volume, boosting seal across his tongue before crawling his lips into another grin.

"I'll say it again-Gannenniang! Can't understand me the first time? I'll say it again! And again! Until that rotting sack of nerves you call your head finally figures it out."

Grinning wider now, he tilted my head. "Or just call me Dad-it's easier for you to remember."

They stared at him. Blank and blinking. It took them a second to reboot back into the same pitiful shouting fit-"Asshole!" "Shithead!" "Fuck you!"

There wasn't one insult among them worth remembering. They were worse than a bored Genin puffing up their chests on trash duty. Akira stepped forward again, raised his brows, and shook his head as if disappointed in toddlers.

"What? Don't call your father when you see him? Is your mom not home? Better go ask her permission first." He held up two fingers mockingly. "And don't forget to bring the bottle!"

Nothing after that came from their mouths but one word-screamed in unison.

"KILL!"

Tobirama, silent until now, let out one faint breath beside him that might have been appreciation or disbelief. He didn't say anything, but he didn't have to. They both knew the consequences were piling up behind them, and they both knew neither of them gave a shit anymore.

Kunai flew first-sharp and fast-the glint of metal catching sunlight in slow arcs before collapsing into chaos. Exploding tags hissed with sizzling chakra trails behind them. The front row of enemies surged forward in reckless waves, weapons gleaming from their hands.

Tobirama didn't move to cast anything, his chakra remained anchored in place as he turned his head toward Akira with one raised brow.

Akira spread my arms wide with mock frustration. "Man… what a poor guy!"

He clapped my hands together, not even needing to make a seal and shouted over the rising noise.

"Water Style: Big Water Blast!"

It started as nothing, a low rumble in his chest, and then surged out of his throat like liquid hell. Water flooded from his mouth so fast that it shot into the clearing in seconds, forming into one massive sphere nearly taller than the trees around them. Over one hundred meters wide and rising by the second-the water spun violently as Akira poured chakra into it, holding it together as one dense mass instead of letting it explode.

Thrown weapons struck first, bouncing off the surface or disappearing inside to sink aimlessly to the bottom. Detonation tags set off flashes across its top layer but did absolutely nothing to rupture its surface tension. Their desperate momentum melted away inside the crushing weight of water pressure.

"Ha! That idiot wasted half his chakra for what? five people?"

Akira heard one of them laugh from across the water.

Another snorted beside him. "Cloud ninjas use Lightning Release! Water conducts electricity!"

Their grins widened as their hands blurred through seals again-

"Lightning Style: Thunder Fang Formation!"

"Lightning Style: Thunderball Assault!"

They hadn't started casting it when one of them finally noticed it, the shifting tide beneath their feet, the widening shadow above their heads.

"Wait-why's the fucking thing getting bigger-?!"

Their eyes widened just as the spherical surface cracked with one tiny hiss.

Puff!

And then-the world broke open-

BOOM!

Water screamed down in waves-as thick as buildings, as loud as thunder, swallowing voices and wiping formations off the earth in seconds. The trees didn't bend, they shattered under impact as rubble smashed through trunks and sent debris flying in every direction.

Even those who thought they had escaped were thigh-deep in mud by the time it settled down-and those less fortunate were buried under broken bamboo or tree pulp-

Broken bodies crawled out of pits and slammed palms against wet stone as they groaned through grit teeth.

"Fuck…!"

Their injuries weren't light, but they were alive, which said enough about their toughness under pressure. Honestly? That alone impressed Akira slightly, all things considered.

Too bad survival wasn't gonna help them now.

Dozens of Akira's clones leapt overhead at once, their forms glinting with wet chakra, their faces lit with cruelty as they looked down at the soaked battlefield below them.

Someone nearby was already beginning to form another seal, but Akira raised his hand high above it.

"I remember someone said water conducts electricity…"
