Naruto: Kushina's Redemption, My Revenge

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: People Have Different Physical Constitutions

Inside the camp.

Chinya arrived at Orochimaru's room.

Three years had passed, and now sixteen-year-old Chinya had grown a lot—he was about 175 cm tall. The youthful look on his face had gradually faded away, but Orochimaru showed no change at all.

Over these past three years, Orochimaru had begun his research in earnest.

And all this time, Chinya had been helping Orochimaru gather experimental materials.

The experimental subjects were naturally those Cloud ninjas.

Orochimaru lifted his head to look at Chinya and asked, "Chinya, what do you need me for?"

Chinya answered, "Teacher Orochimaru, I want to go support the Land of Grass. With you, Jiraiya-sama, and Minato Namikaze here, my absence won't make much of a difference. I also want to handle something of my own."

Orochimaru furrowed his brow slightly, then relaxed his expression. "You're going to the Land of Grass to find that orphan from the Uzumaki Clan, right? Indeed, it's time to go. Mito's health has been worsening with each passing day. If you wait any longer, timing might become an issue.

So, have you prepared your backup plan yet? As things stand, I must maintain my current identity and might not be able to help much."

When Orochimaru asked about Chinya's second plan, he naturally meant what Chinya would do if he couldn't find Karin's mother—his contingency plans to prevent Kushina Uzumaki from becoming the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki.

Orochimaru guessed that Chinya might end up opposing Konoha itself for Kushina Uzumaki's sake.

But at present, he needed to remain hidden within Konoha to conduct experiments. Helping Chinya greatly increased his chances of exposure, so Orochimaru clearly stated he wouldn't be able to help.

Chinya nodded and said, "My second plan should be mostly ready next year. Teacher Orochimaru, please don't worry about me—I can handle it myself."

Orochimaru nodded approvingly. "Good then. Stay here for a few days. Since you're currently ranked as a Jonin, transferring to the Land of Grass will require official orders. I'll submit a request to Konoha right away. The situation in the Land of Hot Water has relatively stabilized now, so Konoha shouldn't refuse your transfer to the Land of Grass."

After leaving Orochimaru's room, Chinya summoned Kyousuke Uchiha, Keiichi Uchiha, Ryuuhei Uchiha, and Jin'ya Uchiha.

Because Chinya never withheld their credits or achievements, all four had already been promoted from Chunin to Tokubetsu Jonin.

Moreover, under Chinya's rigorous training, Kyousuke and the others had grown significantly stronger.

"Captain!"

The four had been thoroughly trained by Chinya. They obeyed every command without hesitation—if Chinya said east, they wouldn't even think of going west. Even being told to charge straight into enemy territory, they now rushed in without hesitation.

Chinya's squad was infamous for being reckless in the Land of Hot Water.

They were also an extremely ruthless squad—any ninja targeted by Chinya's squad never lived to tell the tale—they always ended up decapitated.

Smiling faintly at the four, Chinya said, "Congratulations—you're about to be free from the grind I put you through."

Kyousuke and the others looked at Chinya in confusion.

Chinya explained to them, "I've already submitted a transfer request to Teacher Orochimaru. I'm heading off immediately to assist the Land of Grass, so… you're free."

Keiichi Uchiha said in surprise, "So sudden?"

Chinya sneered at Keiichi Uchiha, "Shouldn't you be happy now?"

Keiichi Uchiha lowered his head. He had been shocked at first—but now, he truly felt relieved.

Ever since they became Chinya's subordinates, they had practically lost all freedom—they were either killing people or on their way to kill again. The four of them had become emotionally numb.

Now that Chinya was leaving, it was a huge relief for them—the pressure would finally ease up. Yet their hearts carried mixed feelings.

Although Chinya showed no mercy and was unbearably strict—even cruel—it had to be said that he was someone worth trusting. Except for the very first mission, during every other mission, the most dangerous spots were always handled alone by Chinya. Whenever they were in danger, he would come to their aid immediately. Each of the four had been saved by Chinya more than once.

That's why, as long as Chinya was there, they believed no mission was impossible. But Chinya was simply too cold—he only spoke about work, never anything personal.

Furthermore, Chinya had irreconcilable conflicts with their Uchiha clan. Kyousuke Uchiha and the others had tried multiple times to reconcile with Chinya but failed each time. All they received were sarcastic remarks and even physical beatings from Chinya.

Three years passed, yet their relationship remained strictly superior and subordinate—nothing more.

Stretching lazily, Chinya said, "Though my original intention might have just been to vent my anger, since you've followed me for three whole years, I'll give you some advice.

After I leave, don't follow Kazuo Uchiha—that idiotic guy. His strength is mediocre, yet he remains completely unaware of it. He leans entirely on his Uchiha name, acting like he's better than everyone else. Everyone here looks down on him and dislikes him.

Of course, since you are his clansmen, feel free not to listen—it's not an order. I'm just trying to turn you against each other.

But if you do take my words seriously, consider following Minato Namikaze instead. Serving under him might actually give you a sliver of hope—not much, but something.

Alright, that's it. From now on, we'll have nothing more to do with each other. The next time we meet, you can curse and insult me just like the rest of the Uchiha do. As long as it's just words, I won't lift a hand. Feel free to dump all your resentment on me—it's been building up for years anyway."

Chinya stood up and turned to leave.

"Captain!" Kyousuke Uchiha suddenly called out.

Chinya paused, turning his head back toward Kyousuke Uchiha. "I still need to stay around here for a few days—I'm still technically your captain. Don't call me Captain when we meet again. So tell me, what is it you want from me now?"

Kyousuke Uchiha gathered his courage and asked, "Captain, why is it that my training in [Thunder Breathing] has always fallen short of your level?"

Chinya gave an ambiguous smile.

Kyousuke Uchiha had been working hard on Thunder Breathing for the past three years—he knew that well enough. But no matter if it was Kyousuke Uchiha or anyone else, their level of Thunder Breathing could never match Chinya's. Because the most crucial breathing technique was one only Chinya himself had mastered.

Chinya replied, "Everyone's physique is different."

Without another word, Chinya turned and walked away.

Kyousuke Uchiha stood frozen in place, his thoughts spiraling into chaos.

Everyone's physique is different?

Did that mean his talent was just mediocre, which is why his Thunder Breathing could never reach that level?

Seriously disheartening.
