Sealing specialists, like medical-nin, are rare and strategic talents in every village. Even in battle, they usually only act after the frontline ninja have dealt with the enemy.

"But as for the testing site, that won't take long," Kagetsu said, shifting the topic and making a promise to Rasa.

Under Rasa's inquisitive gaze, Kagetsu added, "The so-called testing site is just to prove to you and the higher-ups of the Land of Wind that, with the support of the Ryūmyaku vein's energy, Konoha has the ability to quickly build an oasis.

Normally, we'd need to trace the flow of the Ryūmyaku vein's energy, bind it, and then create a focal point on the surface. That method takes a lot of time in the early stages.

But there's a simpler way—skip those steps entirely. By using sealing techniques, we can extract a portion of the chakra core from Roran's Ryūmyaku vein. Based on the energy within that core, we can quickly create a basic testing site.

If it works, it proves the plan is feasible. You can then rest easy and stop worrying that this might be some sort of deception."

"Doing that won't harm the Ryūmyaku vein?" Rasa asked.

He understood that the Ryūmyaku vein was a force of the earth. If too much was drawn from it, there might be serious consequences—and he didn't want that to happen.

"Extracting a limited amount won't cause harm," Kagetsu explained. "It's just an unconventional method. The power we extract will eventually return to the earth after it's used. The Ryūmyaku vein will naturally recover the energy over time.

As long as we don't overdraw it, there won't be any serious problems.

In simple terms, this method is just for testing. How long the oasis created from it lasts will depend on how long the extracted Ryūmyaku vein energy takes to run out."

"It's rootless, and can't be maintained permanently."

"Don't worry about the energy consumption of the Ryūmyaku vein being too high. In the early stages of the environmental transformation, there might be some consumption, but once the environment changes later on, the consumption will significantly decrease, even to nearly nothing."

"After decades or a hundred years, the desert of the Land of Wind might become like the Land of Fire, turning into fertile land."

"I hope so," Rasa said, nodding gently with expectation. Although he knew that Kagetsu was just painting a picture for him, who could resist such a vision?

"At least, if I can achieve this, even if my term only accomplishes this, I will become the greatest Kazekage in the history of Sunagakure, right? Other Kazekages only won certain wars or established a ninja system, but me? I will have changed the entire environment and ecology of the Land of Wind!"

The group stayed outside the forest for a while longer. By nightfall, the forest created by Wood Release began to wither and decay. Clearly, the chakra sustaining it had been used up.

Every major war was a huge loss. Konoha, fighting on multiple fronts, always seemed to walk a tightrope, performing extreme maneuvers during battle.

Even during the Second Shinobi World War, if it hadn't been for the presence of Konoha's White Fang, Konoha might have been attacked and taken by Sunagakure when it was at its most vulnerable.

Konoha has always produced many talented shinobi in every war, but these victories have often come at great cost, winning only under extreme circumstances.

If they could truly have a trustworthy ally to fight alongside them, it would at least help Konoha share some of the pressure in any future wars that might come.

Sunagakure was an attempt.

At least the Daimyo of the Land of Wind had a much better attitude towards Konoha compared to the Daimyo of other major nations toward their respective villages and Kages.

Konoha and Sunagakure also had a treaty agreement.

The group descended underground, where with the help of Queen Sara, they released the sealed Ryūmyaku vein energy.

A brilliant purple pillar of light shot into the sky, part of which was intercepted by Minato using a specially made kunai.

Afterward, Queen Sara closed the seal again, suppressing the restless Ryūmyaku vein that seemed like it was about to erupt like a volcano.

She took a deep breath after accomplishing this. It was the first time she had attempted to control the Ryūmyaku vein this way, and the gradual surge of its power nearly got out of hand.

The purple light faded, leaving behind an irregularly shaped purple crystal about the size of a watermelon. Looking at the sealed Ryūmyaku vein energy core, Rasa's gaze became eager.

To him, the power of the Ryūmyaku vein might be even more useful than the power of the Tailed Beasts. If they could master the proper sealing techniques, could Sunagakure create their own Ryūmyaku vein Jinchuriki?

Even if they weren't as strong as Tailed Beast Jinchuriki, they would still be stronger than ordinary ninjas, right?
