Naruto: Just Want To Be A Death God

Faced with the doubt and lack of recognition from a junior—especially one who felt so familiar at first glance—if it hadn't been for Hiruzen Sarutobi introducing him as the Fourth Hokage's son,and the Fourth himself confirming that his wife's name was "Kushina,"he truly would have believed this child to be his great-grandson.

Blond hair like Tsunade, and such powerful life force—it only made sense he'd be his descendant!

The First Hokage was visibly slumped, cloaked in low spirits,but his mind and emotions were still composed."So you all think I was wrong, huh."

Naruto and the Second Hokage both shook their heads in sync,and answered with the same word: "No."

They exchanged surprised glances.

The Second Hokage waved it off and turned his head away.

Naruto continued:"I don't think what you did was wrong.""Consolidating uncontrollable violence and bringing it under organized management—that is indeed one way to solve the problem.""During your reign, didn't the world experience a period of peace?"

The First Hokage nodded.After Konoha was founded, until Madara attacked,those few years were the happiest and proudest time of his life.

Peace in the world.Children didn't have to go to war.

"But as I said before," Naruto continued, "who did you entrust the power of that blade to?""First Hokage, you were the God of Shinobi.""As long as you were alive, no one dared defy you.""But the moment you died, war broke out again."

"Ninja are instruments of conquest.""That fact didn't change because of your actions."

The Gotei 13 was also a "violent organization."But… the Head Captain possessed overwhelming power—enough to suppress any who harbored ill intent.

The Soul Society had darkness too.But at least, for most of the squad members and even captains,they believed their mission was to maintain balance in the Three Realms.

A mission strong enough to unify the Shinigami and keep them from abusing their power.

The First Hokage lowered his head and fell silent.

"My brother was especially naive in that regard,"the Second Hokage said, now less composed."He believed the world would change through the example set by himself and the Senju clan."

"Wasn't that true?" the First retorted.

The Second didn't even glance at him."He gave power and authority to others.""For example…""Indulging and trusting that inherently evil clan."

"TOBIRAMA! I've told you countless times,don't talk about the Uchiha like that!" the First scolded loudly.

"Brother, I'm speaking to him right now,"the Second replied without looking back.

After a short pause, he continued to Naruto:"My brother even wanted to give away the Tailed Beasts to the other villages.""He thought equal power meant balance, and balance would lead to peace."

"But—"He clicked his tongue and shifted the topic:"Naruto, was it?""You're right—if ninjas can't shake off the title of 'weapons of conquest,'then war will never disappear.""Unless my brother could live forever."

He folded his arms, his gaze sharp."So… is that why you no longer wish to be a ninja?""You don't want to live as a weapon anymore?"

"Then…""What do you plan to do?"

His voice grew darker with every word,and even as a soul, a chilling pressure radiated from him.His chakra surged, threatening to swallow the boy before him.

That presence—

Naruto chuckled softly and released a bit of the energy within him.

The First Hokage's expression shifted.The Second's face twisted slightly.

This kid… is this strong?!

He gave off a lethal pressure.

On par with his brother.

And it directly countered soul-based beings like himself.

If that pressure had been a bit stronger,his soul would've likely scattered then and there.

"You don't understand me," Naruto said gently, raising his hand."To me, Konoha is a fragile and feeble place.""If I wanted to destroy it…""Then the moment I chose to leave, it would've ceased to exist."

"As for what I want to do…"

Just then, the ground trembled violently.Cracks formed in the crystal dome above them.

A force from beneath the earth surged up—ready to shatter the final barrier.

Naruto frowned and paused his words.He smiled at the Second Hokage:"You'll know what I want to do… when we meet again in the Pure Land."

"But for now, I have something to say to my father."

Minato Namikaze looked at him.

The transfer of the other half of the Nine-Tails' chakra was nearing its end.The final wisp of power flowed through their arms and into Naruto.

Naruto raised two fingers and pressed them to his father's palm.

A small sealing technique formed immediately.

Minato could feel it—there was a type of energy inside this seal completely different from chakra.

"When we meet in the Pure Land, Dad, open the seal," Naruto said."What's inside will tell you what I want you to do."

Minato's expression turned thoughtful."Is it about them?"

He was referring to the Shinigami of Soul Society.

Naruto nodded.Inside the seal, he had left a trace of Shinigami power—along with knowledge related to both Shinigami and chakra.

Back in Soul Society, they had concluded through researchthat if some of the Shinigami's power was given to spiritually gifted humans,it might be possible to create a human Shinigami.

Even before undoing the Reaper Death Seal,Naruto had considered how to turn his parents into Shinigami.

Stabbing them obviously wasn't viable.

His dad was a soul now.

If he stabbed him, he'd likely scatter before receiving any power.

Besides, for a soul to become a Shinigami,they didn't need others to inject power into them.

They only needed to cultivate their own spiritual strength.

So… the traditional method was still the best.

Unless his dad lacked spiritual aptitude—but that was virtually impossible.

Though only two examples existed so far—Naruto and Kurama—both showed that the more chakra one had,the stronger their spiritual potential.

"I understand," Minato nodded and smiled."So this is Naruto's plan?""Then I'll need to train hard in the Pure Land."

The crystal dome was on the verge of collapse from repeated impacts.

"Goodbye," Naruto waved to them.

The Second Hokage looked away.The Third bore a guilty look.The Fourth smiled proudly.The First laughed heartily with hands on hips:

"Naruto, I don't know what you're planning,but it looks like you're a thoughtful young man.""I look forward to seeing you again in the Pure Land!""Then you can tell me how you changed the world."

At the word "meet," Naruto suddenly remembered somethingand stopped withdrawing his chakra from the dome.

"First Hokage, I have one more question."

"What is it?" the First asked, puzzled.

Naruto asked:"In the Pure Land, have you seen Uchiha Madara?"

The name "Madara" made the First momentarily dazed.

The Second answered coldly:"No.""But someone like him… doesn't deserve to face me and my brother again."

Naruto's expression grew serious:"Thirteen years ago, an Uchiha invaded Konoha, released the Nine-Tails,and caused the deaths of my parents."

"Some intel suggests…""that person might have been Uchiha Madara."

The First shook his head firmly:"Impossible!""I personally killed him.""Even if I haven't seen him in the Pure Land,like Tobirama said, maybe he just doesn't want to face me.""Madara is definitely dead."

The Second Hokage gave Naruto a deep look:"The Sharingan may have strange powers,but it doesn't seem able to resurrect the dead."

"If you're still concerned,""you can search in the mountains behind Konoha.""I stored Madara's corpse there."

The First turned around, shocked."Tobirama! What did you do with Madara's body?"

"Of course I wanted to uncover the Sharingan's secrets," the Second said confidently."I wanted to understand why their clan turned out so twisted.""You can't fix a problem until you know the cause."

As they talked,the Third averted his gaze awkwardly.

Konoha had also been researching the First Hokage's body.But the First still didn't know that.

"Anyway, I never told anyone about that research,"the Second turned to Naruto,"not even the monkey or Danzo.""I was going to resume the study after the war."

"Didn't expect things to end like this…"

He only had the corpse for two years.One of which was spent entirely on the war.

"I put some preservation mechanisms in place.""You should still be able to retrieve Madara's intact body."

Naruto looked at him and repeated with a smile:"Those who toy with the dead—how could they possibly be decent people?"

The Second snorted:"I never claimed to be a good man.""Besides…""I'm the brother of Hashirama Senju."

Before he could finish—

Naruto clapped his hands together and activated Adamantine Sealing Chains.

The radiant blue crystal dome shattered completely.

An invisible, formless force surged from the earth—wrapping around the four souls,converting them into the same intangible stateand dragging them swiftly underground.

Anticipating this, the golden chains lashed out,striking at the invading force.
