Naruto: I’m the One Executing the Moon Eye Plan

Chapter 157: Chapter 156 – The Path to a Perfect Ending

Minato Namikaze instinctively activated his sensory ninjutsu, scanning his surroundings for any unusual movements—but no matter how carefully he searched, he couldn't detect a single trace of anything out of the ordinary.

That only made him more uneasy.

There was something deeply unsettling about being attacked by an enemy hiding in the shadows—especially when he couldn't even locate them. His brows furrowed into a deep line of worry. After thinking it over, he finally decided to seek out Uchiha Kaien.

He couldn't track the hidden assailant himself, but with the Sharingan, Kaien definitely could.

...

"So that's why you came knocking in the middle of the night?"

Kaien, just recently woken up, looked half-asleep. Dressed in a plain white robe, he wandered bleary-eyed into the living room.

"That's right. The transcription seal you placed on me—it got triggered. But no matter how hard I searched, I couldn't find a single clue."

Minato still looked tense, his eyes filled with a mix of caution and curiosity.

"You don't need to worry about that," Kaien said casually. "It's just a special kind of chakra. I almost got caught by it myself once. That's why I thought of putting a seal on you too."

"My ocular technique automatically activates when it comes in contact with that chakra, so you're fully protected."

After hearing Minato's report, Kaien quickly pieced together what had happened.

Simply put, just as he had expected, Minato had been chosen by the Asura chakra.

Minato possessed Senju blood, and half of Kurama was sealed within him. On top of that, he had been in close proximity to the Indra chakra—making him extremely attractive to the Asura chakra.

And as it turned out, the Asura chakra did try to choose Minato.

However, thanks to the transcription seal Kaien had prepared in advance, it was forced to give up and look for another candidate.

As for who that candidate might be, even Kaien didn't know.

"You were invaded by that strange chakra too? Are you okay?"

Hearing that Kaien had also encountered the same bizarre chakra, Minato's expression immediately turned anxious.

He'd sensed something off about Kaien's chakra recently—subtle, but different. At the time, he hadn't paid it much mind. After all, it wasn't unusual for Uchiha chakra to change slightly now and then.

But now? Now it seemed Kaien had been caught in it too.

"I should be fine... probably," Kaien said with a chuckle.

He had already imprisoned the Indra chakra and begun absorbing it. As long as he didn't destroy the chakra outright, the Sage of Six Paths wouldn't be alerted.

"What do you mean should be fine?" Minato asked, more confused than ever.

"Basically, I absorbed that chakra. I'm not sure what side effects it might cause yet. That's why I made sure to strengthen your seal—to keep you from being affected."

"Is there a way to remove it?"

Minato pressed on.

"Hmm... still working on that."

Kaien fell silent for a moment, deep in thought.

The road to a perfect ending was far from easy. He was thinking about it, of course—but the situation ahead was already taking shape.

He would use the chaos of the Third Great Ninja War to gather all the Tailed Beasts, then summon the Ten Tails and launch the Infinite Tsukuyomi!

As long as he confirmed Nagato's condition and gave him a bit more time, the entire plan could be carried out perfectly.

With that, there was nothing left that needed attention.

In other words—the grand finale was drawing near.

(T/N: I don't even know what to say, it was the end of a fanfic, the author did it very badly, I even started checking Chinese sites, reading reviews from others. I didn't believe it could end like this, but many people say the ending is too rushed, but anyway there is no more chapter. I hope you enjoyed this fanfic)
