Naruto: I Have Cursed Spirits!

Chapter 44: 44 - Battle Frenzy

Hanzō was deeply amazed in his heart.

What a powerful body!

His punches landed on Shiratori, but the bruises quickly faded away.

Through his training, Shiratori's punching speed grew faster with each strike, his power stronger, and his angles more precise and ruthless.

At this rate of growth, it wouldn't even take three days for the boy's taijutsu to surpass his!

This could no longer be described as mere talent. He was born to be a ninja!

"Again."

Hanzō's voice came through his respirator, low and clear in Shiratori's ears.

He looked at Shiratori, standing three meters away. Shiratori's clothes were completely soaked in sweat. A gentle twist could wring out a stream of water.

Yet his eyes were shining.

It was like two flames were burning inside them.

Hanzō liked that look in his eyes.

It constantly radiated the belief in never giving up.

Just as Hanzō finished speaking, Shiratori's figure blurred and vanished from his original spot.

He had fallen in love with this feeling, the sensation of fists clashing against flesh. His whole body was boiling with blood. He couldn't feel pain, nor fatigue, only excitement flowed through his veins, screaming for battle.

For a split second, he doubted himself.

Was he getting too excited?

But that fleeting thought was instantly swallowed up by the frenzy of battle.

"Such speed!"

"He's getting faster and faster!"

"This is unbelievable!"

No one knew when, but all the Ame ninjas who had been training nearby had now gathered around Hanzō and Shiratori.

They stared unblinking at Hanzō's taijutsu training with Shiratori, the more they watched, the more shocked they became.

They were amazed by Shiratori's terrifying speed of learning and improvement. No wonder Hanzō was willing to take him as a student!

The floor under Shiratori exploded the moment he pushed off it, and rubble scattered through the air.

His figure shot toward Hanzō like an arrow released from a bowstring.

His punch generated a powerful gust of wind, it made the skin on people's faces tighten.

A straight punch aimed directly at Hanzō's face.

No flashy moves.

Just a simple, ordinary straight punch.

Yet the air was compressed by that punch until it made a loud cracking sound. It was hard to even estimate the force behind that one punch.

A trace of subtle approval flashed through Hanzō's eyes. However, such a fast punch was effortlessly caught by him.

The onlooking ninjas couldn't even see him move, yet Shiratori's punch was already caught in his hand.

The other ninjas didn't see it, but Shiratori saw everything clearly. Just as his fist was about to hit, Hanzō moved.

But the movement was minimal, a slight sidestep and arm raise, and Shiratori's fist landed right in his palm.

This was the gap between the Naruto world and the Jujutsu Kaisen world.

But he would close that gap.

With Heavenly Restriction, the more you fight, the stronger you get, right?

The stronger the ninja's taijutsu, the higher his Heavenly Restriction's ceiling would rise.

Hanzō felt the force from Shiratori's punch shake his grip, and his calm voice reached Shiratori's ears. "One strike connected, follow up immediately."

In close combat, a dense barrage of attacks is the best defense.

Once you stop, you give your opponent a chance to counterattack.

Shiratori didn't try to yank his fist back from Hanzō's hand. Instead, he twisted midair, and his leg swept out like a steel whip toward Hanzō's chest.

Hanzō's composure was not broken. He lowered his body slightly, and Shiratori's sweeping kick passed just over his head.

Then his elbow struck toward Shiratori's chest.

At such close range, there was no way to dodge.

Pain exploded from his chest as Shiratori's body was sent flying backward. He quickly adjusted himself midair and landed firmly on the ground with both feet.

Hanzō's strike had left a large bruise on his chest. It hurt, but there was no damage to his internal organs or bones.

Shiratori suspected Hanzō had done it on purpose. Deliberately trying to teach him a lesson.

Such a minor injury didn't even require Reverse Cursed Technique, his powerful self-healing ability was enough to make the bruise fade quickly.

"Hanzō-sama is truly amazing!"

The ninjas watched Hanzō with eyes full of admiration.

"Shiratori's progress is really fast!"

"At first, even his punches were clumsy, but now his speed and strength have reached this level!"

"Yeah!"

"If this keeps up, he might surpass us in taijutsu very soon!"

"Tch…"

A strong sense of crisis instantly arose among the ninjas.

What kind of joke would it be to get beaten by a kid?

"I'm going to train!"

"Me too!"

"If he's this strong, we can't fall behind!"

The surrounding ninjas scattered in a frenzy, suddenly energized and throwing themselves into training like they were injected with adrenaline.

Hanzō, like a machine, repeated, "Continue."

Shiratori had no choice but to move again.

His speed was still astonishing, even faster than before, with lighter and more agile footwork.

This time, instead of charging directly at Hanzō, he moved at high speed around him, creating a blur of afterimages to confuse Hanzō's vision.

Suddenly, he appeared behind Hanzō and threw a punch at him.

Just as Hanzō raised his hand to block, Shiratori instantly pulled back and used his other hand, tightly clenched, to strike toward Hanzō's head.

Boom.

A dull thud echoed once again.

But this time, Shiratori's punch didn't land on Hanzō's head. Instead, Hanzō's punch landed on Shiratori's chest.

Shiratori felt like he had been hit by a charging rhino, searing pain and numbness exploded in his chest as his body was sent flying like a kite with its string cut.

He was about to crash hard into the training field's iron wall when he flipped in midair and landed firmly on the ground.

"Again," Hanzō spat out those two words once more.

"..."

From 5 AM to 1 PM, a full eight hours, Shiratori finally earned one hour of rest.

One morning of his training was equivalent to half a month's worth for a regular ninja.

Even the bystanding ninjas were mentally breaking down.

Unaware and unconcerned, Shiratori dragged his hunger-cramped stomach to the village's ninja cafeteria in search of food.

It was mealtime, and along the way, he bumped into several familiar faces.

News that he had become Hanzō's student had already spread throughout Ame. Combined with the fact that he had gone to the battlefield yesterday to save people, his name was now known by everyone in the village.

"Shiratori?"

Shiyu looked at the soaked-like-a-drowned-rat Shiratori and called out in surprise.

He was queuing for food and turned around when he heard the voice. He gave a big smile.

Then his eyes suddenly lit up, behind Shiyu, he saw Chiba.

"Chiba-nisan!" he waved and shouted.

"..."

Shiyu glanced at Chiba with mild annoyance.

Chiba gave Shiyu a faint glance, then walked over to Shiratori's side.

"Training this morning?"

He looked at Shiratori's sweat-drenched hair and added, "No need to rush."

Strength wasn't built in a day.

Shiratori thought, That's something you should be saying to Hanzō.

He looked at Chiba sincerely and said, "I want to get stronger as fast as possible, so I can protect you!"

Chiba looked away from his gaze.

"I don't need your protection," Chiba said plainly.

As Shiyu passed by, he gave Chiba a glare.

"You don't know how lucky you are."
