That night.

Jiraiya separated from Naruto and stood on the rooftop, watching as Naruto made his way home.

At that moment, Ebisu emerged from behind a wall.

"Sorry, Ebisu, I took your student for a bit," Jiraiya said casually.

"It's okay, but I was really surprised to see you. Lord Third Hokage has been searching for you, but there's been no news at all," Ebisu responded. "He'll be thrilled to hear you're in the village."

"Has the old man heard about me?" Jiraiya asked, glancing at Ebisu.

"Not yet," Ebisu replied.

"Good," Jiraiya muttered, folding his arms.

"Did you return because of Orochimaru?" Ebisu pressed.

"Nah, I'm just an idle ninja looking for new novel material. I don't like getting involved in such messy situations," Jiraiya said nonchalantly.

"You... what are you saying? You know better than anyone that only another member of the Legendary Sannin can stop Orochimaru!" Ebisu exclaimed. "Master Jiraiya!"

Jiraiya turned his head toward Ebisu, his expression unreadable, and remained silent.

Ebisu hesitated before heading downstairs. Just as he reached the exit, he turned back and said, "Master Jiraiya, I believe in you."

Jiraiya stared after him indifferently before sneering. "Hmph, the old man sure knows how to guilt-trip people."

After all, Jiraiya had already been forced out of Konoha, and even removed his forehead protector. If he wasn't considered a Konoha shinobi anymore, why should he fight for it? Orochimaru had been driven out as well, but the difference was clear—Hiruzen preferred someone easier to control, like Minato Namikaze, over both of them.

Jiraiya glanced toward Naruto, who was sharing a kiss with Izumi. "Naruto's growing up, Minato… I hope you don't blame me for not being there for him all these years."

Meanwhile, at the Sand Village's temporary residence, Kabuto Yakushi and Baki were engaged in a secret discussion on the rooftop.

"I deliberately exposed myself as a spy in Konoha. I want to see how they react before we make a move to capture Sasuke," Kabuto explained.

"Hmph! Even if Konoha figures out our plan to destroy the village, what can they do?" Baki scoffed.

"Relax, it won't affect the plan," Kabuto assured him.

Baki frowned. "If you fail, we're pulling out immediately. This was originally an Oto plan. The Land of Wind won't act unless absolutely necessary. That's Lord Kazekage's decision."

Hiding behind a wall, Hayate listened in, his eyes widening. I need to report this to Lord Hokage immediately!

Kabuto smirked and handed Baki a scroll. "This is all the information you need."

"Understood," Baki nodded, accepting it.

"Then, I'll take my leave. The rest is up to you."

Before departing, Kabuto's gaze flickered toward the wall where Hayate was hiding.

Baki sneered. "Don't worry, we'll handle this little rat."

Hayate's heart pounded. Shit! I've been spotted! He turned and fled.

The next day, Jiraiya and Naruto crouched behind some bushes near a waterfall.

"Ahh, Konoha is paradise!" Jiraiya sighed, eyes twinkling with perverted glee.

"Right? Let me tell you, I know this village inside out. How do you think I mastered the Sexy Jutsu?" Naruto grinned smugly.

"Ohhh~ Amazing! As expected of you, Naruto!" Jiraiya nodded approvingly.

"You two!" A sharp voice interrupted them as a loud smack landed on both their heads.

Naruto and Jiraiya turned around to see Izumi standing there, holding a basket filled with wild vegetables. She had clearly stumbled upon their "training session."

"Aha~! Izumi, what a coincidence!" Naruto laughed nervously. "Don't misunderstand, I was just acting as a responsible Konoha Genin, ensuring the safety of the villagers. I saw a suspicious old man peeping, so I came to stop him!"

"NANI?!" Jiraiya shouted in outrage. "Didn't YOU drag ME here?!"

"Shut up, old man! I'm still a kid!" Naruto retorted.

"Bullshit! Since when do kids have such a ridiculously OP Harem Jutsu?!" Jiraiya shot back.

Izumi's expression darkened with every word, veins bulging on her forehead. However, before she could react, Naruto and Jiraiya had already taken off, their figures disappearing in an instant.

Izumi: "..."

Elsewhere…

"Heh, you truly are my kind of guy. Our teamwork is flawless," Naruto grinned at Jiraiya.

"Wahahaha! Stick with me, kid, and you'll never go hungry!" Jiraiya laughed proudly.

Naruto rolled his eyes. Can I tell him I'm already rich in this world? Kado would have a heart attack if he found out.

"Alright, Naruto, time to teach you something useful." Jiraiya suddenly turned serious. "I told you yesterday that you have two types of chakra inside you."

"You mean the Nine-Tails' chakra? Pfft, I already knew that. I thought it was ugly, so I've been using my own chakra to suppress its leakage," Naruto replied smugly.

Jiraiya: "..."

"I mean, come on! The Nine-Tails' chakra gives me these stupid whisker marks! It makes me look like a damn fox all the time! So ugly!" Naruto complained.

Jiraiya sighed. "Forget it. Let's start with the Summoning Jutsu."

"I don't want to summon toads. I want to summon Katsuyu!" Naruto declared confidently.

"What?!" Jiraiya was stunned. "Why would you pick Katsuyu? Of the three great summons, she's the least combat-effective!"

Naruto shot him a look. No wonder you were single your whole life. Ever heard of being close to the source? I wanna be Hokage, man!

Hayate: "Director! I think my character's ending is too sloppy. Didn't we agree I'd get more scenes? Look, I just showed my face and then vanished!"

Director: "Ah, yeah… about that. Hiruzen complained you were stealing his screen time, so I had to cut some parts. But don't worry, I'll add a cool fight scene for you later as compensation."

Hayate: "Okay! I'll go prepare!"
