Chapter 209: Side Story Uzumaki Naruto 6

That night, the elders insisted that Hyuga Hiashi keep the new seal a secret. Hiashi, having found the perfect excuse to reject Setsuna proposal, pretended to reject and after being persuaded by an elders, he finally are willing to keep the existence of the seal as a secret, he won't use the seal to the branch members. He even acted as though he felt guilty, playing the part of a conflicted leader. He wanted it to appear as though it was not his decision to withhold the seal from the branch members, but the elders.

Little did the elders know, the new seal had already been distributed to the branch members of the Hyuga Clan. Quietly and swiftly, Setsuna who had deal with Hiro Hyuga in the past knows the best how someone who lost their power will act in this kind of situation.

The next morning, everything changed.

The atmosphere within the Hyuga compound was unusually cold. The branch members, who normally greeted the elders and their families with deep respect, using formalities like "Hiashi-dono" or "Elder-sama"—were now silent, indifferent, and even defiant. Some merely scoffed or walked past them without a glance. Others muttered under their breath with obvious disdain.

It was jarring.

Ordinarily, early mornings in the compound followed a strict routine. Branch members would tend to the main family's needs which include the elders, cooking breakfast, washing clothes, cleaning the yards, and offering their services without question. But this morning… no one came.

Yards remained untidy. Meals were not prepared. Laundry was untouched.

"What is going on?" muttered one elder, pacing angrily across his porch.

Irritated and confused, a few elders attempted to assert their authority. They reached for the old method—the birdcage seal. They tried to activate it to inflict pain and restore order, but to their horror, it didn't work.

Nothing happened.

The seal didn't respond. They then remembered, yesterday Hiashi told them about a new seal that he had been developed for the branch members, it was stronger than current seal, the obvious drawback is the seal can no longer torture other members.

Now they feel terrified of the possibility of losing the power, they wanted to ask Hiashi, but he had already gone. He had left early for a scheduled meeting with the Hokage.

Without Hiashi, the elders panicked.

Frustrated, some of their sons attempted to discipline the branch members physically. But unlike before, the branch members did not yield. They no longer tolerated mistreatment or humiliation. When struck, they struck back—harder.

One of the elders' sons, known for bullying younger branch members, was soundly beaten. When the elder himself tried to intervene, he too was attacked by the angry crowd. The entire hierarchy that had stood firm for generations crumbled in a single morning.

Order collapsed. And with it, the control for the main family.

Even in this another timeline, Setsuna had ensured the Hyuga clan would face justice. The privilege and unchecked power the elders had enjoyed for so long were now gone—stripped away not through violence, but through a single seal.

The balance of power had shifted.

Hiashi would only learn the truth when he returned from the meeting. By then, it would be far too late. He would discover that Setsuna had already given the sealing jutsu to the entire branch family.

Fortunately for him, his daughters, Hyuga Hinata and Hyuga Hanabi were spared from the backlash. They had always treated the branch members with kindness and respect, earning genuine loyalty rather than enforced obedience.

When Hiashi returned, he also found his dead wife, dead brother and his sister-in-law returned. The reunion was filled with mixed emotions—joy, guilt, relief, and unresolved grief.

Setsuna had saved his family and bring them back from astral dimension, the place where someone who are still alive but cannot move.

And from the shadows, Setsuna simply watched, satisfied that another affair of Hyuga had settled.

"If Haruko saw this, would she be happy?" muttered Setsuna.

---Many Had Died---

The matter of the Astral Dimension sent shockwaves among the higher up in Konoha. The idea that people who were once considered dead could return was a fantasy to them. But to be accurate, they weren't exactly dead. They were in a state of living in this world but become invisible to others, only they didn't know about it.

However, there were limitations. Many shinobi who had died over a decade ago could no longer be retrieved. Genin and low-ranked Chunin, in particular, had relatively low chakra reserves. Once their chakra fully dispersed within the Astral Dimension, their bodies crumbled, and they truly passed away. There was no pulling them back.

Even so, Setsuna was able to recover several key figures.

The first group he summoned included Uchiha Mikoto, Uchiha Fugaku, Uchiha Izumi, Uchiha Shisui, and surprisingly Nohara Rin. Despite only reaching the level of Chunin during her lifetime, Rin had managed to survive in the Astral Dimension far longer than expected. After conducting a deeper analysis, Setsuna realized the reason, it was due to the residual chakra from the Kyuubi that had once been sealed inside her.

When Rin was impaled and her body transitioned into the Astral Dimension, the tailed beast chakra had unknowingly increased her chakra capacity.

Setsuna continued his efforts. When he attempted to retrieve others, he found that Hatake Sakumo was still alive within the Astral Dimension. This wasn't entirely unexpected—after all in the Original series Kakashi himself had met his father during a near-death experience.

But the next discovery shocked everyone.

Might Duy, who had never risen above the rank of Genin, also remained alive in that dimension. Setsuna found the reason, when Duy opened the Eighth Gate, the sheer explosive release of chakra drastically increased his reserves, allowing him to linger in the Astral Dimension longer.

These recoveries led to a series of heartfelt and even humorous reunions.

The reunion between Rin and Kakashi was particularly touching—though tinged with laughter. Naruto and Sakura couldn't help but sharing to Rin about Kakashi laid back personality. Rin, amused and emotional, playfully scolded Kakashi for not moving on, even as her eyes filled with tears.

At that point, Naruto and Setsuna had not yet revealed the full truth about Obito—the second, final villain hidden in the shadows.

Kakashi, now older and more grounded, accepted the return of his father with calm. If this happen many years ago, as a younger man filled with grief and resentment, he might have rejected the moment or even rebelled against his father. But the war, his friend and his students, and his losses had tempered him.

He no longer care about redemption, what he wanted now is peace.

Not everyone could be saved, for example Uchiha clan. Setsuna also lost a words, on what should he do, the children especially those young kids from Uchiha Clan they had truly died. The physical chakra body had perished, bringing the other Uchiha from the astral dimension posed a threat to Konoha for example the elders and the other Jonin would provoke the civil war between Uchiha and Sarutobi Clan.

That is why Setsuna only bring a few important person who closed with Itachi for example Izumi who had jonin chakra reserve and her mother. The second person is Uchiha Shisui, he was the one who give the responsibility to Itachi before he tried jump off the cliff.

Shisui get a new fresh eyes and unfortunately he no longer have his sharingan, surprisingly when he heard the report about the Uchiha Clan, he in a sadness awaken a new mangekyou sharingan and had the new ability which is Tsukuyomi, the same like Itachi.
