Chapter 206: Side Story Uzumaki Naruto 3

---Danzo---

For some reason, Danzo's heartbeat was pounding loudly today. He didn't know what was wrong with him. He felt anxious for no reason.

Thud! He fell and knocked over the photo frame on the table.

"Danzo-sama!" called Aburame Torune. "Are you okay?"

Danzo tried to stabilize himself, and after a moment, he managed to stand up.

"I'm okay, don't worry," said Danzo.

Then, he saw the old picture on the floor—Tobirama-sensei with them when they were young. He picked up the broken frame and took a moment to reminisce about the past. "Tobirama-sensei, you picked the wrong person. I should have been the one to become Hokage," said Danzo.

Suddenly, he felt excruciating pain spreading through his body. He wanted to scream for help, but the pain was overwhelming. He had fought in many battles, but never once had he felt a pain like this.

He tried to use Izanagi, but he couldn't concentrate the chakra into his eye. The pain was too intense—he couldn't do anything, only grovel on the ground in agony.

Then, he felt someone sever his right hand and gouge out the Sharingan from his right eye. With his left eye, he saw something unexpected—it was Uchiha Sasuke, who had just taken his right eye.

---An Hour Ago---

"Danzo still doesn't know our whereabouts. We can strike first before he notices that you've returned," said Setsuna.

Everyone nodded.

"I'll call Jiraiya to help," said Tsunade.

"Where did Pervy Sage go?" asked Naruto.

"He went to find you when you went missing four weeks ago," replied Tsunade.

"Pervy Sage must be surprised to see me this strong now," commented Naruto.

Upon hearing about Jiraiya's disappearance, Setsuna suddenly remembered the manga where Jiraiya was killed by the Akatsuki. He closed his eyes, entered KCM mode, and then activated Sage Mode, combining both with Haki to detect Jiraiya's presence.

His sudden change in behavior shocked everyone.

"Sensei?" asked Naruto.

"Setsuna-sama?" said Sasuke.

Setsuna opened his eyes. "I found him. He's in the Land of Rain."

He apparated to the Land of Rain and teleported directly to Jiraiya's location.

Jiraiya, shocked, attacked Setsuna on instinct.

But Setsuna was faster—he grabbed Jiraiya and punched him in the gut, infusing the blow with Haki. Jiraiya instantly fainted.

After he had passed out, Setsuna looked around. The place felt familiar—this was likely the location where Jiraiya would have been ambushed.

He placed Jiraiya over his shoulder and apparated back to the Hokage office.

Everyone was shocked to see Jiraiya unconscious, and Setsuna explained what had happened.

Tsunade sighed and asked them to wait until Jiraiya woke up, but Setsuna refused and told her that Naruto and Sasuke would follow him to the Root office.

Before Tsunade could respond, Setsuna suddenly grabbed Sasuke and Naruto hands.

They teleported outside the Root base. Setsuna explained his plan to corner Danzo.

Since Kamui and Apparition would alert the enemy, the better approach was to teleport into an empty room quietly.

Setsuna used a Disillusionment Charm and Muffliato to conceal himself, Naruto, and Sasuke. They were lucky, after walking a bit, they found Danzo had fallen.

Once Torune was far enough away, Setsuna raised his wand and cast Crucio.

---Jiraiya Wakes up---

When Jiraiya woke up, he saw Danzo tied up alongside the other two elders.

"What… What happened here?" asked Jiraiya, flabbergasted. His eyes landed on Naruto.

"Naruto?" said Jiraiya. "Where have you been?"

Naruto was happy to see Pervy Sage awake. He immediately began explaining everything that had happened to him.

It took about fifteen minutes for Jiraiya to hear the full story.

"So they're the reason why the Uchiha were massacred by Itachi?" asked Jiraiya.

"Yes," replied Setsuna.

Jiraiya's eyes snapped toward him. He greeted Setsuna and then asked another question.

"What do you plan to do, then?" asked Jiraiya. Then he turned his eyes toward Tsunade. "Tsunade, are you really—?"

"Be quiet, Jiraiya. Danzo and the elders' sins are not limited to the Uchiha. They've also been silently eliminating the Senju Clan and committing many unspeakable acts against the village," said Tsunade, throwing a scroll to Jiraiya. "This is a record of their countless crimes, including those committed with our sensei, Hiruzen."

When Naruto, Sasuke and Setsuna returned, they also brought with them the scroll documenting Danzo numerous crimes—assassinations, experiments, false accusations, and many more.

Jiraiya opened the scroll and read, one by one, the deeds Danzo, Hiruzen, Homura, and Koharu had committed. His veins bulged with fury as his anger grew.

---The News Spread---

News of Danzo being behind the massacre and numerous acts of treason spread quickly, announced by Tsunade herself. She declared that the three elders would be executed within a week.

The matter became so serious that even Obito used Kamui to teleport to Konoha just to see Danzo in prison. Setsuna had been waiting near Danzo's prison, certain that Obito would come in person—perhaps to retrieve Danzo's eyes—and he was right.

The moment Obito stepped into the prison, he was immediately bound by a sealing technique. His Kamui and Izanagi were rendered useless—the fuinjutsu had sealed everything the moment he stepped inside.

Meanwhile, elsewhere, Uchiha Itachi was returning to Konoha to see what had truly happened. But someone blocked his path. His eyes widened in surprise—it was Sasuke, standing there with Naruto.

"Nii-san," called Sasuke. His eyes no longer held bloodlust, only remorse. "I know everything. It was Danzo… and the Third Hokage."

"I see… you know the truth," said Itachi, his voice soft, burdened.

Sasuke nodded. "I know everything. About the elders. About how you had no choice. About the orders they gave you. I understand now, Nii-san."

Itachi looked away, his eyes shadowed by guilt. "I never wanted you to carry this weight, Sasuke. I wanted you to grow up free, even if it meant hating me."

"You carried the burden alone for too long," Sasuke replied. "But not anymore. I'm not that angry boy chasing revenge. I have people now… friends, a future. Even Naruto believed in me when I didn't believe in myself."

There was a pause before Sasuke stepped forward. "You can come back with me, Nii-san. The truth is out now. You don't have to hide anymore. You don't have to suffer alone."

"I… I don't know if I deserve that," whispered Itachi.

"You do," said Sasuke firmly. "You were a shinobi of the Leaf. A protector. And now, it's time the world sees who you really are."
