Naruto: I am Uchiha Fugaku

Chapter 92: Naruto: I am Uchiha Fugaku [92]

Upon seeing Uchiha Fugaku suddenly appear, the group of Kirigakure (Hidden Mist) ninja were startled, immediately halting their attack on the little girl.

Some remained wary of the girl, but most turned their attention to Fugaku.

It was obvious—the newly arrived figure posed a far greater threat.

"You're that... wandering ninja?"

At this moment, Uchiha Fugaku had already resumed the appearance of a rogue shinobi. One of the Kirigakure nin recognized him as the one who had previously stolen the Kaguya clan's corpses.

Now that they realized this was the same wandering ninja, their vigilance only deepened.

To be able to seize the bodies of the Kaguya clan and escape from Lady Terumi Mei—this man was clearly no ordinary opponent.

"Do you want to live? If you do, then come with me."

Ignoring the tense stares of the Kirigakure ninja, Fugaku turned his gaze toward the young girl.

He intended to take her in and train her to become one of his own.

Of course, if the girl refused, he wouldn't force her—after all, a twisted melon isn't sweet.

But if that happened, she would surely die.

The girl had managed to kill one of the Hidden Mist ninja earlier mainly due to the element of surprise; in terms of true strength, she was no stronger than the one she'd killed.

She was far too young, and had only just awakened her abilities.

There was no way she could survive the encirclement of so many Kirigakure ninja.

"Uncle... will you help me... kill them?"

The girl looked up at Fugaku in surprise. Upon hearing his words, a faint light flickered in her eyes—something hard to name.

Her voice was soft and childish, yet carried a killing intent that had no place in someone her age.

"Of course."

Fugaku smiled slightly and gave his word.

"As long as you agree to follow me—none of them will live."

"I will."

With resolute eyes, the girl responded firmly.

"Good. Very good."

Fugaku's smile deepened.

"Killed—!"

The Kirigakure ninja had already realized what was happening: this rogue ninja was planning to save the girl—a surviving member of the Yuki clan—and was clearly intending to avenge her by slaughtering them all.

Some formed hand seals for Water Release techniques. Others hurled volleys of shuriken. A few charged in with blades drawn.

In an instant, a barrage of attacks rained down on Fugaku's position.

Whoosh!

With a flicker, Fugaku vanished, reappearing beside the girl.

Another flicker—and both he and the girl vanished again, reappearing several dozen meters away.

"There they are! All of you—Water Style, together!"

Among the Kirigakure ninja was a jōnin, who quickly spotted Fugaku and the girl's new location.

At his command, all the ninja rapidly formed hand seals, unleashing their Water Release techniques.

"Water Style: Exploding Water Colliding Wave!"

"Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet!"

"Water Style: Wild Water Wave!"

...

Multiple water-style jutsu converged, merging into a massive torrent that surged toward Fugaku and the girl.

"..."

Faced with such a terrifying onslaught, the girl squeezed her eyes shut in fear.

Fugaku's face remained calm and indifferent. This time, however, he chose not to dodge.

"Fire Style: Majestic Destroyer Flame—"

Holding the girl in one arm, Fugaku formed a one-handed seal.

A massive stream of fire erupted from his mouth, blanketing the sky like a tidal wave, crashing head-on into the oncoming water techniques.

Hiss—!

The moment the two forces collided, the mass of water-style jutsu evaporated into steam.

The surging flames continued forward, engulfing the Kirigakure ninja.

"Ah! AHHH—!"

Several of them failed to escape in time and were consumed by the inferno.

Their agonized, despairing screams echoed as their bodies turned to charred corpses.

Water beats fire—only when the skill levels of the users are similar.

But between Uchiha Fugaku and these Kirigakure ninja, the gap was enormous.

Thus, instead of suppressing the flames, their water jutsu were utterly evaporated.

"What terrifying fire-style ninjutsu..."

Out of the dozen or so Kirigakure ninja, only five managed to survive the blaze.

Shaken, they glanced at the scorched remains of their comrades, then turned horrified eyes toward Fugaku.

To overwhelm their combined water jutsu with fire-style alone—this man's power was beyond terrifying.

"Retreat—!"

Without hesitation, a jōnin among them issued the order.

Just one jutsu had reduced them to five—this rogue ninja was clearly not someone they could face.

"I can't let you escape. I gave my word—I'd wipe you all out..."

As soon as Fugaku's words fell, he dashed forward—crossing the distance of dozens of meters in a blink.

The nearest Kirigakure ninja didn't even have time to react before a kunai slit his throat.

Schlkk—!

Blood sprayed from his neck as Fugaku appeared beside another enemy, driving a kunai into their chest.

Pulling the blade free, he lunged toward the next.

This one was a jōnin. Seeing a kunai slash coming his way, he quickly raised his sword to block.

But Fugaku disappeared mid-motion—reappearing behind him—and plunged the kunai into his back.

"Split up and run—!"

The last two Kirigakure ninja had completely lost the will to fight. Faces pale with fear, they turned and fled in opposite directions.

Whoosh, whoosh!

Fugaku's silhouette flickered twice—passing by both in rapid succession.

A moment later, blood sprayed from both of them as their bodies collapsed to the ground.

And just like that, all of the Kirigakure ninja—more than ten of them—were annihilated.

"..."

At some point, the girl had opened her eyes.

She watched as the Hidden Mist ninja fell one by one beneath Fugaku's assault.

She didn't look away. Her eyes were red, brimming with emotion.

Her grandmother's death had been avenged. Zhenqiu-uncle's too.

She turned to Fugaku, her gaze full of gratitude—for this man who had avenged her, killing all of the Kirigakure ninja.

"Grandma… Uncle Zhenqiu…"

Fugaku gently set the girl down. She ran over to the bodies of the old woman and the middle-aged man.

Tears rolled silently down her cheeks. Her eyes were red, but she held back her sobs.

At such a young age, she was trying—so hard—to be strong.

Or at least… to appear strong.

Fugaku walked over, pulled out a sealing scroll, and stored the bodies of the remaining Yuki clan members inside.

Then, taking the girl with him, he vanished from the place using the Mayfly Technique.
