Chapter 1: #1 What happened ?
Hyeol Ryong, A Man known throughout the martial world as the Celestial Blood Demon, stood at the pinnacle of the Martial World. For over a century, he had cultivated his internal energy to unfathomable heights, terrorizing the Murim. He rose to fame and ascended into his position as one of the Great Elders of the Heavenly Demon Cult.
In an attempt to avenge one of the descendants of the Heavenly Demons that was killed by the Orthodox Faction, he vowed to destroy at least one of their strongholds.
However, unexpectedly, the one in command of said stronghold was Jang Moo Yongbi, the Enlightened Plum Blossom Sword, one of the Murim Alliance's Great Elders and the Sect Leader of the Mount Hua Sect.
For hours they fought, each strike a masterstroke of martial technique, each movement a dance of destruction. The battlefield bore the scars of their might—deep craters were formed by their unleashed Qi, trees splintered by shockwaves, and the air thick with the metallic scent of blood. At long last, Hyeol Ryong prevailed, his sword piercing through Jang Moo Yongbi's defenses and delivering the final blow.
Yet, as Hyeol Ryong stood triumphant, the leader of the Murim Alliance emerged from the shadows with an enraged face and sweat dropping from all over his face.
He looked at the dead body of one of his closest friends for the last seventy years before looking at Hyeol Ryong with bloodlust.
In a swift motion, he moved and swung his sword at Hyeol Ryong, who was too exhausted after his battle with Jang Moo Yongbi to dodge in time.
Hyeol Ryong's arm was cut off, and the world started to slide.
'Why is the world sliding?'
Hyeol Ryong had not yet noticed, but the leader of the Murim Alliance had cleaved through his entire body, starting from his left shoulder all the way toward his right hip.
Hyeol Ryong's vision dimmed as his life force ebbed away. 'So… this is the end…' he thought as everything went dark.
At the same time, in a different reality, a young girl around eight years old woke up and looked around in confusion.
Hyeol Ryong glanced around, bewildered. 'Did I not just get killed by the leader of the Murim Alliance after finally delivering a killing blow to the Enlightened Plum Blossom Sword Jang Moo Yongbi?'
Instinctively, he felt something was very wrong with what was currently happening.
The world around him did not quite match up with what he was used to; everything seemed bigger than it normally was. It felt like his surroundings had grown several times in size, which was highly unusual.
Quickly, he came to another conclusion. 'The world around me did not increase in size… it's my size that must have decreased.'
'Did the Orthodox bastards use some kind of mystical spell to heal me and then shrink me in size to make me easier to deal with?'
Instantly, Hyeol Ryong tried to utilize his Qi Sensing Technique to scan the area around him. Doing so, however, made his face squint in confusion. Somehow, his Divine Sense was not working. 'Odd.'
He tried to look deep into his body to feel for any kind of ailment.
He could sense his meridians, but they felt off and stagnant. 'Did someone tamper with them?'
Next, he tried to sense all of his internal energy, only to find that his energy center was simply gone. It didn't exist.
'How could this be possible? I have gathered thousands of years of internal energy during my lifetime. How could all of my accumulated internal energy just be gone?'
Even if they completely crippled him, faint traces would remain. He knew this because he had done such an act to others too many times to count.
Then it hit him. 'My cultivation is gone. My body shrunk in size… Did they somehow rewind the time of my body? Was I turned into a child?'
'How dare they turn me, the Celestial Blood Demon Hyeol Ryong, back into a child?! This is beyond insulting!'
In anger, he tried to move the Qi in his meridians, but it didn't seem to work.
'Why is my Qi so stagnant? I can feel it moving, but the speed is abysmal. I have never seen someone with such horrendous Qi flow.'
'This is wrong. Did they also put a seal on my meridians? Did they truly intend on humiliating me even further?'
Just then, the door to the house he was in opened. A beat-up looking man walked closer to her.
'Is this man a member of the Beggar Sect? Odd… usually, they work as scouts and not as torturers.'
But instead of speaking or doing anything, the man just came closer and closer… and bit him on the arm.
Hyeol Ryong felt a tiny sting and grew annoyed. 'Some bastard beggar dared to bite into my holy body?'
Out of pure instinct, he struck the man with a palm strike to his internal energy center.
What should have resulted in an internal implosion that would have ripped apart his body simply did absolutely nothing. To the outside observer, it just looked like a young child flailing helplessly at an adult.
(AN: I decided to clean up my writing in this chapter a bit with Chat-GBT: I simple used the command - Please add " " for dialogue and ' ' for thoughts. Don't change the text much and rewrite it sligthly with my already established english level. - Honestly i think it did a Great Job.)
