Naruto: Hatake Zoro

Konohagure,

Year 64

Summer just started, Mid day sunlight baths the whole konoha, in response to the sunlight, the trees which can be seen everywhere around the village, gently sways as they accepts the self bath.

In entrance on konoha two genin guards are yawning as the third shinobi war unofficially came to an end. Common people can be seen everywhere with their happy and somewhat relieved faces.

Ninjas who returned from the war enjoying their sweet times in their home. But scar of this shinobi war is huge, there are many who still trying to overcome from the grievance of their nakama, family and children.

Instead of cautious and fear, people now see hope ahead of their future. But many know this hope cannot be last long, still they believe it.

Hatake clan compound

A calm afternoon, elders are resting, children are went to sleep after their morning play, small blue-colored lovebirds are nuzzling against eachother in a sakura tree, such a beautiful time.

But not everything going smooth, "Brraaaattttt!! you are dead!! stop right there!!!" a screaming sound came from a traditional two-storey house, 'tut tut tut..' we can see a small figure running clumsily as his life depends on it from a 60 years old woman with literally her hair dancing with the wind like a demon.

"Ohd lady! Who wouhhd shhtop when they are gongg to dhie..!" (Old lady! Who would stop when they are going to die) said a 8 months old baby as he run under the dining table. Suddenly, Hatake Susuna, a 60 years old retired elite jonin, anger flared up. " 'Old lady?!!' brat!! Who taught you to speak like this?", she suddenly appeared before emerging small figure from under the table.

Hatake Zoro, who just thought that he lost the old demon, hearing the voice before him he become alerted. Before he tries to escape, he become face to face to the hatake susuna as he was lifted in the air by his back neck. 

"Say, who taught you this?", the voice suddenly become minimum decibel to the ears but Zoro clearly hear it. "I won'th shay ith" (I won't say it) hmph, zoro snorted as he turn his face with folding hands. "I know who taught you this. I will have a good talk to him" susuna said as she smiled merrily. Zoro shuddered when he heard the sentence. 

Then zoro suddenly being laid with his stomach on susuna thighs as she sits on the dining chair. From the previous accumulated experience zoro guess what would comes next. Before he speaks, 'Paah', a loud sound comes from the butts of zoro. "aaahhhh!!" Zoro voice echoed through the street. 

"This is for breaking my favorite tea cup" susuna continued, 'Paaah', "aaahhhhh!!!!" Zoro again cried. "This is for calling me old lady". Then the 'Paah' and "aaaahhh!!" continued for another 5 minutes. In these 5 minutes, the peaceful street, the sleeping elders, the loving blue birds all curses several times, of course only on mind, they don't want to confront Hatake Susuna directly. Even the sensible blue birds knows what would come when they make the old lady mad.

A few minutes ago,

"I wanth shioo shakee onigiti (shio sake onigiri)!!" Zoro standing infront of susuna demanded 26th time today. "NO!! I won't make or buy it to you. You are eating too much of that. Here after, Shio sake (salted salmon) onigiri only for special occasions. Go play outside. Go go.." susuna is at her limit as zoro kept pestering her to make him it. Zoro, wandered his eyes on table where susuna's favourite tea set placed. Then he looked at susuna who is working in kitchen with her back facing to him. Suddenly, an idea occured. That's how the situation unfolded.

Konoha market

"Come here for the fresh vegetables, just imported from the land of grass", "Ninja kunai from land of iron, special discount for the Ninjas", all sort of vendors trying to get the attention of the people. White hair with dark mask covering the face, hatake kakashi, 13 years old jonin, who lost his both nakamas last year, sighing why zoro became such a headache. {why doesn't he inherited patience from susuna-san and why he love so much of 'shio sake onigiri'. Where did he learn about this?} while pondering kakashi returning to his clan compound.

Hatake Compound

While entering, kakashi heard the 'Paah' and 'aaaahhh!!' sounds. Sigh {there goes again}. Kakashi walked to the two storey house which is his. "I am home", while removing his ninja sandals kakashi announced his arrival. Before taking front steps, his ninja instinct kicked. With an adrenaline rush, he tilted his head, "Ziingg.." a kitchen knife planted heavily on the entrance door.

"Oh kakashi-chan here, come here, meet your 'Old lady'", susuna, who is carrying crying zoro her hip with his butt facing kakashi, greeted warmly. Kakashi, an anbu member, who faced many powerful enemies without any fear, now sweating and his instinct warns him to run away but he couldn't as zoro is being held hostage. {I really shouldn't talk about the old lady in front of zoro} he swears. 

After sometimes, Kakashi, who's head has double buns and Zoro, who's butts swollen big, knelt before susuna who just finished lecturing them. Finally susuna said "Kakashi-brat, you should set the example for zoro. See how he becomes. Ahh.. why the two brats keep giving me headache when I wants to have my sweat retirement days. Sigh.. don't do this again. otherwise.." , 'Crack' susuna cracked her knuckles. Just by hearing the sound Kakashi and Zoro got goosebumps. 

After the incident, kakashi and zoro went backyard to play, mostly Zoro runs around while kakashi watching over him. {Sigh, I shouldn't mess with the old lady. She is crazy. Why did I agreed on her to babysit zoro. Why didn't hokage warned me}. Kakashi thinks about the interaction between Hokage.

Few months before,

Hokage office

"Hokage-sama, why did you summoned me after duty" Kakashi said to hokage. "Kakashi, I thought over the interaction held here before regarding hatake zoro and I found the zoro child has a direct relative alive other than you. That is Zoro's grandmother from his father's side." hokage said while taking a puff from his pipe. "Is it true Hokage-sama, and why didn't I heard of her". kakashi asked shockingly. "Because she went missing after 1st ninja war. But according to our information she is known for 'Red lotus' which given because of her sword mastery and contribution to the 1st ninja war. And she once visited konoha at the wedding of Hatake Seiya and her child Hatake yukan. After that, we couldn't find the trace of Hatake susuna. But our intel says she is living in west part of land of fire."

Kakashi's backyard

{I really should reconsidered at that time. Sigh.. What is done, is being done. Atleast Zoro didn't worry about his dad or mom absence in old lady's presence} while watching zoro, who has two sticks on his hand and fighting the invisible onigiri thief, Kakashi thinks about how to response to the zoro when he asks about his parents in the future.

Then sun set peacefully, as the small zoro playing tirelessly with already tired kakashi, from the window hatake susuna watching her brats playing makes her happy and relieved as she pondered {Yukan, Seiya don't worry about the little Zoro. He obviously inherited your mischieveness, yukan. Eventhough zoro brat sometimes gives me headache, I am glad I live to see his childhood and I hope it can rectify the years I spend alone without you and your father, yukan}. 

"Brats, come inside, dinner is ready", susuna said, "Ish ith shioo shakee onigiti?!!", zoro exclaimed with his eyes sparcling, "What do you see in that onigiri", kakashi commented with the deadpan eyes as they walked inside the home.

Another eventful day to this family of three.
