Chapter 215: Chapter 215: Mary Geoise

"There it is—the Red Line!"

"Captain, how are we supposed to get there? Are we taking the route through Fish-Man Island?" Charlotte Pudding asked, looking at the towering landmass ahead.

"No, we'll just fly over it," Shin replied, shaking his head. "We can visit Fish-Man Island later, but first, I'd like to see what Mary Geoise looks like."

"Fly over?" Pudding looked slightly shocked. "What about our ship?"

Ulti snorted. "Three-eyed idiot! Azure Dragon fruit can carry whole islands, let alone just this ship."

Hearing Ulti's comment, Charlotte Pudding's three eyes turned red with frustration as she glared at her. Ulti was caught off guard and fell victim to Pudding's genjutsu. With a loud scream, she collapsed to the deck.

Shin watched the two with mild exasperation. Ignoring their bickering, he let out a deep roar, transforming into a massive dragon. With a single flick of his tail, he conjured flame clouds to envelop the ship, lifting it effortlessly into the sky.

At the Holy Land Mary Geoise:

Today was as 'peaceful' as ever—if one ignored the suffering slaves scattered throughout.

A group of Celestial Dragons strolled through Mary Geoise, lazily whipping slaves and reveling in their pain until a massive shadow passed over them.

"What is that?" a Celestial Dragon with a perpetually runny nose looked up, mouth agape, eyes gleaming.

"It's a dragon—a flying dragon!"

Mary Geoise quickly burst into chaotic excitement.

In the Sky Above:

"Is that Mary Geoise down there? It's quite beautiful," Pudding remarked, looking down with a curious sparkle in her eyes.

"What are those fools doing?" Ulti frowned. "Are they actually trying to shoot at us with pistols?"

Below, Celestial Dragons and their guards raised their guns, firing shots into the sky. Naturally, none of the bullets reached their target.

Besides, even if the shots reached, they would be powerless at such a high altitude. The guards trained more in hand-to-hand combat than marksmanship, didn't even bother aiming correctly.

Though the Celestial Dragons were mindless enough to shoot, their guards were much more cautious. Seeing a giant dragon carrying a ship made them wary—such a foe was clearly beyond their capabilities. Thus, they halfheartedly followed orders, but their shots missed deliberately.

"Captain Shin!" Violet, her voice slightly shaking, moved to the bow and called to the dragon pulling their ship.

"What is it?" Shin's voice rumbled, deep as thunder in his dragon form.

"Could you save those slaves down there?" Violet's face was pale, her eyes simmering with quiet rage.

Surprised, Shin realized that Violet must have used her devil fruit powers to see the situation below. He didn't typically concern himself with these matters, but Violet's request stirred a flicker of consideration in him.

Though his upbringing had given him a solid moral compass, the self-centered attitudes of his past world also left him indifferent. Yet, seeing Violet's determination, Shin decided it wouldn't hurt to intervene.

As he took a deep breath, the sky above Mary Geoise began to darken. Winds rose sharply, lightning flashed, and heavy clouds gathered overhead, casting a shadow over the entire city.

"What's happening? How could there be a storm over Mary Geoise?" While the Celestial Dragons continued to act oblivious, their guards sensed something amiss.

Mary Geoise, perched atop the Red Line, sat thousands of meters above sea level. While rain sometimes fell in light showers, a fierce storm like this was virtually unheard of. It was, after all, called a "holy land" partly because of its perpetually mild weather. Severe storms were almost impossible here.

"Is that dragon affecting the weather?" one guard muttered uneasily.

The power of devil fruits often depended on their users' imagination. While many zoan-type fruit users stuck to basic transformations, a strong imagination could yield unique powers—especially with mythical zoan-types like Shin's Azure Dragon fruit. Influenced by his concept of dragons as beings that control the elements, Shin developed powers to influence the skies.

With the intensifying storm, thick clouds blanketed the sky, and then a torrential downpour drenched the city below.

The Celestial Dragons, soaked and furious, were finally forced to take cover. Meanwhile, Shin descended quietly, concealed by the storm.

Thick black mist spread, swirling and blanketing the streets. In the confusion, few noticed the shift in atmosphere until they realized slaves were vanishing into the darkness, disappearing one by one.

"Be on guard! The slaves are gone! Something's wrong with this mist; we're under attack!" The guards called out as they quickly formed a protective wall around the Celestial Dragons.

For the guards, it was less about protecting the slaves and more about preserving their own lives. If any harm came to the Celestial Dragons, they and their families would pay the price.

Then, out of the black fog, a figure emerged—obscured, with only a dark silhouette and glowing lavender eyes visible. Even the briefest glance at these eyes sent chills down their spines, leaving many of them immobilized.

"Bring all the slaves here," Shin ordered, his voice calm and unyielding.

Upon hearing Shin's command, the guards and Celestial Dragons reluctantly obeyed, some trudging off to locate more slaves while others, entranced by Shin's gaze, dared not resist.

Though not all the Celestial Dragons in Mary Geoise were nearby, Shin moved methodically, using his influence over the guards to round up the remaining slaves. With a single look, his Rinnegan-based genjutsu left each target subdued and compliant.
