Naruto: Flash Reborn — Minato’s Second Life

Chapter 107: Chapter 107: Chaos

"Could this be the leader of the Hidden Hot Spring Village?"

Ryo Yagura's expression shifted to shock. He never imagined that someone as formidable as Fuu Akimoto could exist in a small place like the Hidden Hot Spring Village.

More shockingly, he had used the Transformation Jutsu to impersonate Sakumo.

So where was Sakumo Hatake at this moment?

The razor-sharp wind blades sliced through Ryo Yagura's Lightning Release Chakra. His eyes narrowed and he immediately withdrew his punch.

Fuu Akimoto followed up instantly. His blade moved with incredible speed, each strike flowing in a distinct and deadly pattern. Even with Ryo Yagura's visual perception speed, it felt as if the sword slashed from three directions all at once.

Shua!

Still, the blade lagged just slightly behind. Ryo Yagura dodged out of its range, but dared not underestimate Fuu Akimoto even for a second.

This was no ordinary foe—he would have to give this one his full focus.

"Hidden Hot Spring Ninja, listen well! Show no mercy—wipe out the invaders!"

Fuu Akimoto shouted, his eyes locked firmly on Ryo Yagura. Previously, Sakumo had warned him about this man's incredible speed—how he had effortlessly dodged multiple consecutive strikes unleashed in an instant.

But Fuu Akimoto couldn't afford to let a ninja of this caliber run wild in the Hidden Hot Spring Village. Without hesitation, he activated the Shifting Body Technique and lunged forward. In moments, his black longsword swung like a storm, dazzling and disorienting.

Even Ryo Yagura did not dare recklessly withstand those sword strikes directly, though his superior speed allowed him to retreat just in time from their coverage.

Thus, Fuu Akimoto restricted Ryo Yagura's movement with his sword techniques, while Ryo Yagura could not risk abandoning the battlefield and using his speed to regroup with Tachiyama Shinsaburo.

After all, even the most foolish person would realize that Sakumo Hatake had pulled off a switch using someone else in his place.

Of course, all of that depended on whether Fuu Akimoto could truly keep him occupied.

Tachiyama Shinsaburo's intelligence was inaccurate—at least regarding the true strength of the Hidden Hot Spring Village's leader, something he had been completely unaware of before.

If Ryo Yagura left, there would be no one left on this battlefield capable of opposing Fuu Akimoto. The 300 Evil Cultists under his command would likely suffer total annihilation.

As Ryo Yagura and Fuu Akimoto clashed fiercely, dozens of Hidden Hot Spring ninjas and nearly 300 Evil Cultists plunged into chaotic battle.

In terms of numbers, the Evil Cult clearly held overwhelming superiority. However, these dozens of Hidden Hot Spring ninjas were elite warriors handpicked and trained by Fuu Akimoto.

As a result, after only brief skirmishes, dozens of Evil Cultists had already fallen, whereas on the Hidden Hot Spring side, only a few ninjas had sustained injuries.

"You two aren't bad at all."

Amid the battlefield, three relatively small figures stood out noticeably. A boy named Akimoto Yama, having witnessed Minato's and Yan Uchiha's combat skills, was somewhat astonished.

These two boys, younger than him by a few years, were somehow his equal in skill.

He himself was regarded as a once-in-a-decade prodigy within the Hidden Hot Spring Village. And yet, in just one Konoha squad, there were already two geniuses more talented than him.

Was this truly the strength of the Konoha Ninja Village? It's no wonder the Hidden Hot Spring Village stood no chance.

"Watch out, don't lose focus!"

As Akimoto Yama glanced over, followers of the Evil Cult charged forward wildly, showing no fear of death.

One of them raised his katana high and brought it down in a deadly arc aimed at Akimoto Yama.

Minato had intended to help, but Akimoto Yama had already acted first. He quickly squatted down and landed a heavy punch directly onto the enemy's knee.

The cultist cried out in pain and bent forward. At that moment, Akimoto Yama sidestepped, grabbed the enemy's sword-wielding hand from behind, and pierced straight through his heart.

Seeing this, Minato relaxed slightly; his worry seemed unnecessary after all.

"You should focus on yourself," Yan Uchiha coldly remarked while knocking down another follower of the Evil Cult. "Hesitating on the battlefield will only get you killed faster."

Minato chuckled awkwardly but soon refocused entirely on the battle.

Though many of these enemies were not ninjas, their hands were stained with the blood of innocent civilians.

It was people like these who had slaughtered Minato's parents.

At that thought, his bright blue pupils darkened with a fierce glare fixed upon the foe before him.

"Brat, die!" the man screamed furiously, blood from his recently fallen comrade smeared across his face.

Yet instead of sobering him up, the blood seemed to further awaken the beast within, twisting his expression into something even more hideous.

He swung his blade at Minato, but in the next instant, all he saw was a streak of golden light — [the Flying Thunder God Technique]!

A jet of deep red blood spurted from his neck, and without ever changing his hideous expression, the man dropped dead.

After killing one opponent, Minato immediately set his sights on the next target.

He became a radiant blur darting across the battlefield — as he moved forward, enemies dropped lifelessly behind him.

Given Minato's strength, defeating these mere fanatic foot soldiers barely required effort.

The cold-blooded efficiency with which he killed left both Yan Uchiha and Akimoto Yama utterly stunned.

This was Yan Uchiha's first kill — he felt no fear, but an unfamiliar tension stirred in his chest.

But Minato, also on his very first mission, showed no sign of hesitation or discomfort whatsoever.

The face that usually carried a warm smile now bore only cold cruelty toward the enemy.

Even Junko Watanabe, who had been watching Minato closely during her battle against a Jonin from the Cloud Ninja due to concerns over his injuries, found herself deeply shaken.

Having once served in the ANBU, she had always been merciless during assassination missions.

Right now, Minato looked just like those ANBU members hardened by many kills.

Just a nine-year-old boy, and normally such a gentle and humble child.

To his comrades, he was as gentle and warming as spring; to his enemies, as cold and unfeeling as winter frost.

Chaos spread across the battlefield as the wild brawl kicked off...
