Naruto: Dual-Pupil Uchiha

Chapter 350 : Graduated!!

"You're sure you want to take the ninjutsu exam? If you fail, you won't be able to graduate!"

Iruka frowned as he looked at Genya, a hint of anger flashing in his eyes.

"This exam isn't a joke. I hope you've thought it through."

Iruka was clearly displeased with Genya's decision. In his mind, Genya was someone who couldn't even use ninjutsu. And yet… he chose to take the ninjutsu assessment?

Wasn't that the same as not taking the test seriously?

Iruka knew that even without passing this exam, Genya would still do fine in life. So why insist on taking part?

More importantly—

As a teacher at the Ninja Academy, Iruka couldn't tolerate anyone disrespecting the exam.

And Genya… was exactly that kind of person in his eyes.

"I've thought it through. We can begin the test," Genya replied calmly, meeting Iruka's slightly angry gaze.

It seemed Iruka had misunderstood something.

"Genya, think carefully. This is your one and only chance to choose how you're evaluated," Iruka repeated, hoping to give Genya one last chance to reconsider.

"I'm ready, sensei. Let's begin!" Genya smiled as he nodded, his tone carrying a rare seriousness. He had already said this several times—why didn't Iruka believe him?

Iruka gripped his clipboard tightly, his expression grim. He didn't respond immediately.

In Iruka's eyes, Genya was someone who treated the exam with utter disregard, someone who trampled on everything he held dear. Unforgivable.

"Alright then, Uchiha Genya, go ahead," said the teacher beside Iruka, sensing the tension and quickly stepping in to let Genya proceed with the test.

Iruka finally let out a breath, but his voice still carried a touch of heaviness. "Genya... next, perform the Clone Technique."

"Got it!" Genya nodded, forming hand seals with both hands.

A pair of spiraling chakra marks appeared beneath his feet.

Smoke burst out all around him!

Moments later, two shadow clones appeared at his sides—identical to him in every way.

"You... you can really use ninjutsu?" Iruka's eyes widened to the point they nearly popped out of his head, his entire face frozen in disbelief.

What...?

Wasn't Uchiha Genya supposed to be incapable of using ninjutsu?

Wasn't he said to be unable to gather chakra at all?

That's why he trained taijutsu under Might Guy, wasn't it?

But now—now he had just performed ninjutsu?

This was unbelievable!

No way... it had to be fake, right?

Iruka couldn't believe his eyes. He rubbed them and looked again—yes, it really was the Shadow Clone Jutsu!

"Next is the Substitution Jutsu," Iruka said after pausing for a moment, watching Genya silently.

What followed...

Genya performed both the Substitution Jutsu and the Transformation Jutsu flawlessly.

Even Iruka, as the examiner, couldn't find a single flaw!

"Genya, congratulations. You've passed the ninja exam!" Iruka recorded the results, then handed a Konoha forehead protector to Genya.

As Genya reached out to take it, Iruka added with an apologetic tone, "Sorry about my attitude earlier. I was a bit too harsh."

"It's fine," Genya replied with a faint smile, accepting the forehead protector before turning to leave the classroom.

Hokage's Office

"Even that brat from the Uchiha clan can use ninjutsu?" Sarutobi Hiruzen watched the classroom scene unfold through his crystal ball.

When he saw Genya perform ninjutsu, surprise filled his eyes.

In Konoha, rumors had long spread that Genya couldn't use ninjutsu, which was why he trained in taijutsu under Might Guy.

But now... Genya had exceeded all expectations.

"Heh... looks like the Uchiha are better at hiding things than I thought," Danzo chuckled coldly as he watched the scene.

"Tell me, do you think those eyes of his might awaken the Sharingan too?"

Genya had always trained in taijutsu, and the rumors said he couldn't use ninjutsu. But clearly, that wasn't true anymore.

"It's probably impossible. His eyes have already mutated — the fact that he hasn't gone blind is lucky enough."

Sarutobi Hiruzen looked at Danzo Shimura and continued,

"According to the medical-nin, there's a natural repulsion between the Senju and Uchiha bloodlines. That might be the reason behind Genya's eye mutation."

"You're not afraid? That an Uchiha like Genya, who knows ninjutsu, might become a threat to you?"

Danzo hadn't expected Hiruzen to know so much about Genya — even to the extent of consulting medical-nin about his unusual Dual Pupil eyes.

Heh... what a meticulous schemer.

"I'll have someone from the Hyuga Clan check the chakra flow in his body," Hiruzen said calmly, taking a slow puff from his pipe.

"But with his level of talent, I doubt he'll ever reach jōnin."

In Hiruzen's eyes, even if Genya had recently learned to refine chakra, it was already too late to catch up — training at this age wouldn't take him far.

"Heh... let's hope he won't become a threat to us."

Danzo gave a faint smile and dropped the topic.

Danzo understood Hiruzen better than anyone. That quiet, calculating nature — he had probably predicted all of this from the beginning.

Ninja Academy

"Genya! I told you you'd pass the test!"

Naruto ran over, full of excitement, and wrapped Genya in a big, loud hug.

"Genya-kun, congratulations!"

Hinata also walked up, her voice soft but filled with genuine happiness for him.

"Congrats."

Shikamaru came over as well, with Choji — still munching on snacks — and Ino trailing behind him.

The trio were childhood friends, so seeing Genya pass, Shikamaru felt it was only natural to offer his congratulations.

But something had changed in his eyes — the way he looked at Genya wasn't the same anymore.

At first, he thought Genya was just another kid slacking off at the Academy.

But now, Genya had proven himself — not just barely passing, but showing real strength.

And he didn't rely on taijutsu either.

Seems like Genya was hiding more than anyone realized.

"Feeling good today. Let's go eat noodles!" Genya waved his small hand, signaling Shikamaru and the others to head out for a meal. It was a good chance to celebrate a little.

Among them were future heirs of ninja clans. Even if it wasn't about recruiting, leaving a good impression was still important.

"Alright! Big feast time! I want the deluxe ramen," Naruto was the first to respond, grabbing Genya's hand as they headed outside.

Hinata Hyuga quickly followed, and Shikamaru Nara, Ino, and Choji exchanged a glance but decided to go along too.

A few others joined in—they were all from the same class!

Genya was, after all, a clan heir of the Uchiha. Even if they didn't show respect to him, they had to show respect to the Uchiha clan!

Those who graduated from the ninja academy, except a few real troublemakers, were already sharp and knew how to weigh advantages and disadvantages.

As they passed Sasuke, who was sitting alone on a rock, Genya couldn't help but ask, "Aren't you coming with us?"

"Boring. I'd rather spend that time training!" Sasuke glanced at Genya and stood up, walking off in another direction, leaving a lonely figure behind.

These past few years, Sasuke had been training hard.

His goal was to wipe away the shame his family had brought to the Uchiha and to bring back Uchiha Itachi.

"Sasuke."

Watching that lonely figure, Sakura whispered softly, hesitated for a moment, then hurried after him.
