Chapter 1: Chapter #1
"Fuck! Another boring day!"
Mike let out a dramatic sigh, flopping onto his bed. He stared at the ceiling, exasperated. A life where you had food, entertainment, and nothing to do all day sounded like a dream at first. Who wouldn't love lounging around, playing games, and watching videos without a care in the world?
But after a while? It got unbearably dull.
Apart from eating and sleeping, his daily activities revolved around gaming, watching live streams, and endlessly scrolling through videos. Without a phone, he figured most people his age wouldn't last a few days stuck at home.
Feeling restless, Mike sat up and wandered over to the window. He considered a ridiculously mundane way to pass the time—counting the number of leaves swaying, tracking how many fell to the ground, or even tallying how many birds chirped outside.
But as he looked at a particular leaf fluttering in the wind, something clicked in his mind.
"Leaf..." he muttered.
And just like that, inspiration struck. If he was going to be bored, he might as well relive the greatest anime of all time.
"Time for a Naruto marathon!"
Excited, Mike wasted no time. He grabbed his device, pulled up an episode, and hit play. But the second he clicked on the video, the screen flickered. Before he could react, darkness engulfed his vision, and a strange voice echoed in his head.
{Ding! Divine Reward System activating...}
{System activation complete. Confirming host identity...}
{Ding! Host identity confirmed. Beginning binding process...}
{Divine Reward System binding successful. Confirming current world...}
{Ding! Naruto World confirmed!}
Mike's mind reeled. What... what just happened?
Did watching Naruto somehow teleport him into the world of Naruto?! That was insane!
His heart pounded as he quickly glanced around. The scene before him was both unfamiliar and strangely recognizable—the bustling streets, the towering Hokage Monument in the distance, the shinobi casually walking by...
"No way..." Mike whispered in disbelief.
He wasn't just dreaming it. He had actually crossed into the world of Naruto.
A flood of emotions rushed through him. Excitement. Shock. A bit of panic. But mostly, sheer amazement.
He knew exactly where he was. The Land of Fire. Konohagakure.
And then, a new realization hit him:
Who was he in this world?
Almost as if in response, the system chimed in again:
{Host identity confirmed: Tokigawa Tatsuya.}
{Ding! Congratulations, host! You have unlocked your first Divine Reward System reward!}
{Talent increased by 100 times!}
{Chakra reserves increased by 100 times!}
{You have acquired [Power of Shukaku] (including Shukaku's Magnet Release.)!}
{You have received 1 lottery draw!}
Tatsuya stood frozen. His brain struggled to process what he had just heard.
"...What?"
His talent was multiplied by 100? His chakra was increased a hundredfold? He had the power of Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast?!
And this was just the 'first' reward?
For a long moment, he didn't move. He just stared ahead, utterly stunned. It felt like some sort of joke. Was the system broken? Did it seriously just hand him an overpowered upgrade right off the bat?
After what felt like forever, Mike, now Tatsuya finally exhaled and muttered, "This system... I like it."
He quickly pulled up the system panel, and there it was:
{Divine Reward System First Reward Unlocked:}
{1. Talent increased by 100 times}
{2. Chakra reserves increased by 100 times}
{3. Power of Shukaku (One-Tailed Chakra)}
{4. Locked (Unlocks in the second stage)}
{Lottery Draws: 1}
{Conditions to unlock Second Reward:}
{1. Defeat Mizuki}
{2. Defeat Momochi Zabuza}
Tatsuya smirked.
"That doesn't sound too hard."
If this system was real—and all signs pointed to the fact that it was—then his future in this world was about to change big time.
Just as he was lost in thought, a familiar voice called out from behind him.
"Yo, Tatsuya, what are you spacing out for? The graduation exam's about to start!"
Tatsuya turned around and nearly jumped.
Standing right in front of him was Uzumaki Naruto himself.
His messy blond hair, his bright blue eyes, his orange jacket—there was no mistaking him.
Tatsuya blinked. 'No way.'
He wasn't just in the Naruto world. He was Naruto's classmate?!
More memories surfaced. His new identity, Tokigawa Tatsuya, had been in the same class as Naruto for years. The two of them had been struggling at the same level, barely scraping by in basic taijutsu and transformation jutsu. Neither had managed to master the [Clone Jutsu], which meant both of them were in danger of failing the graduation exam.
No wonder Naruto liked hanging around him. They were in the same boat. Both were orphans. Both were underdogs.
But unlike Naruto, his fate had just taken a massive turn.
Tatsuya clenched his fists, feeling the chakra coursing through his body. This was it. His life, his destiny, everything was about to change.
After countless thoughts raced through his mind, Tatsuya murmured to himself.
"Mike Sanchez... maybe this was meant to be."
Taking a deep breath, he made his decision.
"From today onward, my name is Tokigawa Tatsuya!"
What Tatsuya hadn't expected was that after crossing into the [Naruto World], he would immediately run into the graduation exam. He knew that passing the Ninja Academy's exam meant officially becoming a ninja.
The thought of it filled him with anticipation.
"Let's go!" Naruto grinned, nudging him forward.
"Yeah," Tatsuya nodded, falling into step beside him as they made their way toward the Ninja Academy.
At first, he had worried about whether he could pass, but now, those worries had disappeared. Because now… he was a genius! With the Chakra of [Shukaku, the One-Tailed Beast], the so-called graduation exam was nothing more than child's play.
Before long, they arrived at the Academy. The moment Tatsuya stepped into the classroom, he took in the sight of the other eight members of Konoha's Twelve.
Uchiha Sasuke, Haruno Sakura, Hyuga Hinata, Yamanaka Ino, Inuzuka Kiba, Aburame Shino, Nara Shikamaru, and Akimichi Choji.
Aside from them and Naruto, three other notable names from the anime were missing: Rock Lee, Tenten, and Neji Hyuga. But that was because they had already graduated and become Genin.
As for Sai? He was barely considered the thirteenth member of Konoha's younger generation.
Of course, aside from familiar faces like Sasuke and Hinata, Tatsuya also noticed a few unfamiliar students. Like himself, they were considered extras.
The classroom buzzed with energy, but the moment their instructor, Iruka Umino, entered, the noise died down.
"Today is the day of the graduation exam. Are you all ready?" Iruka asked, scanning the room.
"Yes!" The class responded in unison, with the exception of Sasuke, who remained silent, and Tatsuya, who simply nodded.
Naruto, however, was the loudest, his voice nearly shaking the walls as if he wanted the whole village to hear him.
Iruka smiled. "Alright, let's begin! I'll call names one by one. Those called will proceed to the next room. The test for this exam is the [Clone Jutsu], so be prepared."
The [Clone Jutsu]: A basic ninjutsu that creates intangible clones made from chakra. Though it lacks offensive capability, it is useful for deception and misdirection.
Mastering this technique is a fundamental step toward more advanced clone techniques, such as the [Shadow Clone Jutsu] and the [Wind Demon Shuriken—Shadow Windmill]. More advanced forms, like [Lightning Clone Jutsu] and [Water Clone Jutsu], require elemental chakra manipulation.
Upon hearing that the exam would be the [Clone Jutsu], most students remained unfazed—except for Naruto and a few others.
"Nani?! Are you kidding me? Of all things, it had to be the jutsu I'm worst at!" Naruto groaned, pulling at his cheeks dramatically before glancing at Tatsuya.
But to his surprise, Tatsuya wasn't showing his usual nervousness. Instead, he looked… calm. Confident, even.
"Hey, Tatsuya, aren't you worried? The test is [Clone Jutsu]," Naruto asked in disbelief.
"Worrying won't change anything," Tatsuya replied casually. "If you're going to stress about it, you might as well focus on doing your best."
Naruto blinked, momentarily stunned. "Well… I guess you're right."
With that, the exam began.
"First up, Uchiha Sasuke!"
"Next, Hyuga Hinata!"
One by one, students went in, performed their jutsu, and passed. Sasuke, Hinata, and Sakura all successfully graduated, each receiving their [Ninja Forehead Protector].
Seeing this, Naruto could barely contain his envy.
"Next, Tokigawa Tatsuya!"
Hearing his name, Tatsuya stood up. Naruto gave him a firm pat on the back. "You got this! Believe it!"
"Shouldn't be a problem," Tatsuya replied with a small smirk.
That response left Naruto—and everyone else—momentarily stunned. Since when was Tatsuya so confident?
As murmurs of curiosity spread through the class, Tatsuya strode out of the room and entered the examination room.
Inside, two figures were waiting: Iruka and Mizuki. The latter, though outwardly smiling, hid a glint of contempt in his eyes—something Tatsuya didn't miss.
"Alright, Tatsuya-kun," Iruka said, holding a clipboard. "Whenever you're ready."
Without hesitation, Tatsuya formed the necessary hand seal, feeling the chakra surge within him.
"[Clone Jutsu]!"
With a puff of smoke, the entire room was filled with identical copies of him.
Both Iruka and Mizuki froze.
They weren't seeing just one or two clones—but dozens of them.
Normally, fresh graduates could produce anywhere between three to ten clones. This number would gradually increase as their chakra control improved.
However, Tatsuya had just summoned dozens in an instant.
Iruka rubbed his eyes. "Mizuki… hit me."
"Huh?"
"I need to know if I'm dreaming."
Mizuki, equally stunned, could only swallow hard. He had known Tatsuya as an average student, someone at the same level as Naruto. But this?
"Iruka," Mizuki muttered. "Even I… can't believe what I'm seeing."
Tatsuya, sensing Mizuki's growing jealousy, simply smiled. He knew Mizuki harbored resentment about his own lack of talent—resentment that would later drive him to manipulate Naruto into stealing the [Scroll of Seals].
Breaking the silence, Tatsuya spoke. "So, is this good enough?"
Iruka snapped out of his daze. "Y-Yeah! More than enough!"
Still shaken, he grabbed a [Ninja Forehead Protector] from the desk and handed it over.
"Tokigawa Tatsuya, congratulations. You've passed!"
Tatsuya took the forehead protector with a respectful nod. "Thank you, Sensei."
As he left the room, Iruka murmured to himself, "To think that Tatsuya, of all people, would make such a breakthrough… If you wait long enough, even a hidden talent will have its moment to shine."
Back in the classroom, the moment Tatsuya returned, a few students were already gearing up to mock him.
But their words died in their throats the instant they saw what he was holding.
A [Ninja Forehead Protector]. The proof of passing the exam.
Naruto, unable to contain himself, gaped. "Tatsuya… you actually passed?!"
Just three days ago, Tatsuya couldn't even form a proper clone. But now?
Tatsuya simply raised his forehead protector with a small smile. "See for yourself."
Silence filled the room.
No one could comprehend how Tatsuya had gone from an average student to this in just a few days. The shock was written all over their faces.
And so, the story of Tokigawa Tatsuya's rise had only just begun.

This will be updated daily, bonus chap if I felt like it.
I saw two attempts of posting this fanfic here, and the translations were unreadable. If you want to read the original, the raws are in the synopsis. I posted the title and author there. Btw, English is my second language, so, my bad if my grammar isn't perfect. To those who's asking if AI helped me translate this, the answer is yes. AI helped, but there are some things that AI can't quite get rid of, especially on those idioms and names of the characters that turned into Chinese.
Give me some power stones if you've had some fun reading this!
