Chapter 246: Chapter 248
Hearing that Sasuke, who had just been worshiped as a father by Orochimaru, was now calling Fujiwara Kirito "Dad," Pakura chuckled and could no longer hold back, covering her red lips and laughing.
"Be good." Kirito rubbed Sasuke's spiky head.
This made Sasuke extremely ashamed and angry.
His face turned blue, then purple.
He suppressed the anger in his heart and said to Kirito, "Now, how can you teach me to become stronger?"
"Of course." Kirito pursed his lips, pondered for a moment, then suddenly, his smile faded. "No."
"Are you kidding me?!" Sasuke stood up, slammed the table, and instantly became angry and embarrassed.
"I only said I wouldn't let you suffer any loss. I never said I would teach you to become stronger. How is that a trick?" Kirito chuckled.
"You—" Sasuke was so furious that his lungs were about to explode, and his Sharingan looked like it was about to shoot fire.
"Don't worry. If I don't teach you, does that mean you have no other way to become stronger?" Kirito picked up the teacup and took a sip. "I wonder, have you heard of Reincarnation?"
Sasuke left, planning to target Orochimaru's soul—just like Orochimaru was after his body.
After learning the weakness of the Living Corpse Reincarnation from Kirito, Sasuke set his sights on Orochimaru's soul.
As long as he could devour Orochimaru's soul, he could inherit everything from him.
Then, with the aid of his Sharingan and the Cursed Seal of Heaven, he firmly believed he would have the power to challenge Itachi.
"Lord Kirito, why did you tell Uchiha Sasuke that?" Pakura asked hesitantly.
Kirito smiled. "Don't you think it's interesting? Sasuke covets Orochimaru's soul, and Orochimaru covets Sasuke's body—and now even wants to have a child with him."
Hearing this, Pakura suddenly recalled the Viagra and the 'I Love Chai' Kirito had given Orochimaru. Her hair stood on end. It seemed a major confrontation was inevitable.
Elsewhere, after leaving, Sasuke was preparing to return to his room to rest, while pondering how to deal with Orochimaru.
Suddenly, several vine-like branches burst from the ground and instantly tied him up. At the same time, Yamato's voice rang out, "Wood Release: Binding Pillar Technique."
As he finished speaking, a tree stump emerged from the stone wall beside him, then retracted, leaving a large hole in the wall, and Yamato climbed out of it.
Next came Haruno Sakura, Naruto, and Karin.
"Sasuke." Naruto and Sakura widened their eyes at the same time upon seeing him.
"I didn't expect to meet a Wood Release ninja here... and Sakura, Naruto, you're both here," Sasuke said coldly and calmly, as if he hadn't just been tied up. "So is Kakashi here too?"
Yamato took a step forward and looked up at Sasuke. "Sorry, Kakashi-senpai didn't come because of his health. I'm the substitute for Team Kakashi. This time, I came here to bring you back to Konoha."
"Interesting. You think you can?" Sasuke's expression remained cold. He spread his right palm into a claw shape and suddenly clenched it.
Boom.
Flames burst out from the ground. The ground exploded instantly, and thick smoke billowed.
A sinkhole was blown open in Orochimaru's secret base.
In the pit stood Yamato, Haruno Sakura, Karin, and Naruto.
Sasuke stood above the sinkhole, backlit by the sun, his left hand on his waist, looking down at the four in the pit.
"Stop, Sasuke! Stop!" Sakura shouted anxiously, tears in her eyes.
"Shut up. You're being annoying." Sasuke's eyes swept over the four one by one, finally landing on Karin. "This is my replacement?"
"What a cocky guy," Karin thought, then stepped forward with a bright smile. "Hello, I'm Uzumaki Karin, the new member of Team 7. I think we've met before. Please take care of me."
"I don't remember, and I'm not interested," Sasuke replied coldly, then turned his gaze to Naruto. "Naruto, do you remember what I told you before? I've wanted to fight you for a long time."
At this point, Sasuke recalled the scene of Naruto fighting Gaara in his tailed beast form, and the three-tomoe Sharingan in his eyes gleamed with excitement.
"Ah," Naruto nodded, then suddenly changed the subject, "But I won't fight you."
"Why?" Sasuke frowned.
Was it because Naruto looked down on him? Or because he couldn't bear to attack his old friend?
Either way, it was humiliating. The Uchiha didn't need this kind of pity.
"Because you're someone I acknowledge as a comrade." Naruto raised his head, looked Sasuke in the eye, and shouted, "No matter what, I'll bring you back to the village today!"
Sasuke's pupils shrank. His mind replayed his time with Naruto—it had been the happiest period since his clan was annihilated.
For a moment, he truly wanted to return with Naruto.
But then, the image of Uchiha Itachi, the man who slaughtered his clan, flashed in his mind—and his anger surged again.
In a flash, he appeared in front of Naruto.
He placed his left hand on Naruto's shoulder and slowly drew the Kusanagi Sword with his right hand. "Naruto, isn't your dream to become Hokage? And you're wasting time chasing after me? You should be training instead."
"How can someone who can't even save his comrade become Hokage? Right, Sasuke?" Naruto stood still, offering no resistance.
"If you're in that much pain, I'll help you end it." As Sasuke spoke, he fully drew the Kusanagi Sword and stabbed toward Naruto's lower back.
Sakura froze, her tears falling silently. Her mind went blank.
"Sasuke…" By the time she reacted, it was too late to stop him.
At the last second, Karin suddenly appeared and grabbed Sasuke's wrist, halting the sword.
Naruto wasn't clueless either—he used the moment to grab Sasuke's other hand.
"This defense is on point. Looks like you're not as weak as Sakura," Sasuke said to Karin, his lips curling into a slight smile without surprise.
Rather than being restrained, it was more like he had allowed Karin and Naruto to grab him—he was preparing to use Chidori Stream.
But before he could act, he suddenly felt a powerful force seize his right wrist, and Karin's voice rang out: "I'm not just defense—I can attack too. Naruto, squat!"
Naruto instantly ducked.
A white light flashed from Karin's lower back, and five chains shot out, spiraling through the air and locking onto Sasuke, blocking all escape routes.
