Naruto: Deidara’s Struggle

Chapter 26: 《Naruto: Deidara's Struggle》Chapter 26: I Am Uchiha Madara (Humorous)

Strongest Artist System Host: Deidara Shock Value: 3250/8000 Skill Points: 2 Unlocked Skills: Explosion Mastery Level 1, C2 Enhanced Great Dragon, Improved Clay, Chakra Enhancement, Lightning-Resistant Clay, Extreme Heat

Deidara had leveled up twice. Initially, he wanted to continue advancing in Pyrotechnics, but the system's main skill tree required him to sacrifice the sword Shibuki (Splash) to unlock Explosion Mastery Level 2. As for the side skills, there were options like C1 Special Type: Sensory Landmine and Greater Detonation Range, but none of these seemed urgent. Instead, he chose to upgrade Form Optimization Level 1 and Ninjutsu Enhancement.

Poof!

A small Clay Spider emerged from Deidara's chewing process. He picked it up and examined it closely, noticing that while it appeared similar to before, the details had been significantly refined. The optimization of the spider legs, in particular, greatly improved its jumping ability and flexibility, making it a highly practical enhancement.

He then tried creating Clay Soldiers, but they still didn't meet his expectations. It seemed further advancements in Morphology Optimization would be necessary.

"It seems you haven't been discouraged," a male voice suddenly came from behind Deidara.

"Who's there?"

"Don't panic. I'm not your enemy," Obito said calmly as he observed the three tense figures before him, his tone indifferent, as if everything was under his control.

"Uchiha Itachi?" Sasori of the Red Sand reacted instinctively. Based on the known information, only two pairs of Sharingan remained in the ninja world, and within the Akatsuki, the only Sharingan user was Uchiha Itachi.

However, the person before them was clearly different from Itachi in body type, attire, demeanor, tone, and voice. This discrepancy prompted Sasori's question.

"I'm not Uchiha Itachi," Obito replied.

"Then who are you? And why are you wearing our organization's uniform?" Sasori demanded. The black cloak with red clouds wasn't something just anyone could wear. It was exclusive to core members of the Akatsuki. The sudden appearance of a stranger in the same attire was highly suspicious—especially with those Sharingan eyes.

"Our organization?" Obito repeated deliberately, his tone carrying a hint of amusement.

"No, it should actually be my organization," Obito said, shrouded in mystery under the cover of night.

"Hmph! So you don't intend to have a proper conversation," Obito remarked with mild surprise as Hiruko's tail pierced through his chest. However, it caused no real harm, as if it had struck a phantom.

"Wait, Brother Sasori! Let's hear what he has to say," Deidara interjected. He already knew the man before them was Obito, so he didn't see the point in wasting effort pretending. After all, in the Naruto world, Kamui was a broken, nearly invincible ability, even playing a crucial role in the final battle against Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

"Surprisingly, this kid has more patience than you, Sasori," Obito said, successfully provoking both of them with a single sentence.

"Say what you need to, or I'll kill you!" Sasori growled, his tone dark. Hiruko's tail twisted menacingly in mid-air, reflecting his growing impatience.

"First, let me introduce myself. I am Uchiha Madara!" Obito declared, feigning authority.

"Uchiha Madara?!" Both Sasori and Water Man exclaimed in shock.

Uchiha Madara, like Hashirama Senju, was an absolute legend. Whenever people suffered heavy losses during Tailed Beast rampages, the awe-inspiring reputations of those two titans, who could treat Tailed Beasts like mere pets, grew even more profound.

Figures like Hiruzen Sarutobi, who shamelessly claimed to be the strongest Hokage, could only fool lower-level ninjas. More experienced shinobi would never believe such nonsense.

"How can you prove you're Uchiha Madara?" Sasori, ever cautious, quickly regained his composure. He wasn't one to believe claims without evidence.

"Proof? I don't have any. Believe me or don't; it's up to you," Obito said nonchalantly, seating himself cross-legged by the campfire with an air of enigmatic confidence.

"Fine, let's assume you're Uchiha Madara. What's your purpose here?" Deidara, disinterested in Obito's theatrics, cut straight to the point.

"I want to invite you to join me—especially you, Deidara. Your abilities are exceptional," Obito said, turning to Deidara with a more serious tone.

Sasori felt insulted. What about me, Sasori of the Red Sand? Do I not matter? Judging by the mysterious man's demeanor, it was clear he was here for Deidara. If Deidara weren't present, Sasori doubted he would have even noticed this man's existence.

"Join you? Aren't we already part of the Akatsuki?" Sasori asked coldly.

Obito glanced at the three of them before explaining, "The Akatsuki was co-founded by me and Pain. However, our relationship is purely cooperative. If the day comes when Pain and I part ways, I hope you will stand by my side."

"A completely insincere invitation," Deidara commented flatly.

"If you and the leader might part ways, what exactly is your ideology? What do you aim to achieve?"

"If you expect others to follow you without explaining anything, you're being far too naive," Deidara added, firing off two pointed questions in quick succession.

Unfazed, Obito stood up slowly. Raising his hands as if embracing a vision of a new world, he declared, "My ideology is to create a world without war, hatred, or conflict—a world where people can truly understand one another."

No, you just want a world with Rin in it, Deidara thought to himself, silently mocking Obito.

"A foolish and futile dream," Sasori sneered. He, too, had suffered the scars of war, losing his parents at a young age. While he despised war, he understood all too well that human conflicts could never be eradicated, and war would never truly disappear.

"You'll see. It will happen. I hope that when that day comes, you won't stand against me," Obito said. As he finished, space began to distort around him, and his figure gradually vanished.

After confirming that the self-proclaimed Uchiha Madara had left, the three of them sat back down around the campfire.

"Brother Sasori, what do you think of that Uchiha Madara's claims?" Deidara asked.

"A foolish and futile dream," Sasori repeated his earlier assessment.

"But deep down, you hate war too, don't you, Brother Sasori? Otherwise, why would you defect from Sunagakure and live a wandering life?"

"Shut up! I did it to pursue eternal art!" Sasori snapped.

Sasori was, in truth, a classic example of someone disillusioned by the brutal wars of his era. Though he claimed to seek eternal art, he ultimately chose to die willingly at the hands of his grandmother, Chiyo, cradled by the puppets of his parents as he descended into the afterlife.

"What about you, Water Man?" Deidara turned to him.

"I think that Uchiha Madara's vision is too idealistic," Water Man replied. "But I can't help but fantasize about a world without war—that would be paradise."

Perhaps realizing his earlier statement sounded naive, he added, "Honestly, the Xuanyuan Group joined the Akatsuki mainly because of its strength. Maybe it could one day provide stability for us and our descendants. Life as wandering ninjas is just too dangerous."

For the first time in the Naruto world, Deidara felt a sense of purpose—something beyond leveling up through the system. Since he was here, as a transmigrator, he might as well make a name for himself.

"Let's work together for world peace!" Deidara declared passionately.

"How boring," Sasori retorted, his tone tsundere.

"Yes, Lord Qinglong!" Water Man responded with enthusiasm.
