Naruto: Call Me Akuma

Chapter 36: Might Guy

After finishing his meal, Akuma set out toward the Hidden Leaf Village. The map didn't show its exact location, but he wasn't worried—he could always ask nearby villagers for directions. With that thought in mind, he continued his journey.

This time, however, he walked instead of running. His body was still recovering from the strain of Satsui no Hado. While his 90% recovery ability was accelerating the process, the lingering pain made it unwise to push himself too hard.

He walked for hours until something caught his eye—Akatsuki members near the village. Even from a distance, they were easy to recognize; their black cloaks adorned with bright red clouds stood out starkly against the landscape.

Akuma immediately decided not to go to that village.

He had no desire to get involved with the Akatsuki, not in his current condition. Changing course, he traveled for two days, stopping in villages along the way to ask for directions while keeping his face hidden. Eventually, he reached the borders of Konoha.

Now came the real problem—how to get inside.

He considered posing as a refugee, but the chances of that working were slim. Even as a five-year-old, the Hidden Leaf wouldn't simply let him in without questioning him thoroughly. Worse, they might scan his mind—something he wanted to avoid at all costs.

After a few minutes of thinking, he finally came up with an idea.

He would wait.

Patience was key. An opportunity would come, and when it did, he would take it.

Several days passed, and just as he was starting to grow restless, a loud voice echoed from within the village.

"Kakashi!!! Someday I will beat you, and then you will witness the true power of youth!! AHHHHH!!!!"

Akuma blinked.

That was… Might Guy?

A smirk formed on his lips.

Perhaps his opportunity had just arrived.

Akuma quickly placed the Absolute Dimension Lock Ring into his inventory. Then, he picked up a few branches from the ground and made deep scratches and cuts on both his arms and legs.

Taking a deep breath, he once again let Satsui no Hado consume him—but this time, he was careful. He only allowed the power to surge through him until his muscles began to tear apart, then immediately stopped before he lost consciousness.

With his body weakened and battered, he ran across the Hidden Leaf Village border, heading toward the source of Might Guy's voice.

When he finally reached the scene, he saw Might Guy walking on his hands, sweat dripping from his body, yet his determination unwavering.

Akuma didn't hesitate.

He sprinted toward Might Guy, his movements frantic, as if he were running from something terrifying. As soon as he got close, he collapsed, faking unconsciousness.

Seeing a wounded five-year-old pass out before him, covered in cuts and bruises, Might Guy immediately halted his training.

He knelt beside the boy, concern flashing across his face.

"Hey, kid! Are you all right?" he asked.

No response.

"Hey! Can you hear me?" he tried again, shaking him gently.

Still nothing.

Without hesitation, Might Guy lifted Akuma onto his back and dashed toward the village hospital.

===

"Is the kid all right?" Might Guy asked, his concern evident.

The medical ninja examined the unconscious boy carefully before responding.

"From the looks of it, he has torn multiple muscles, and these cuts and bruises suggest he's been running through the forest for a long time. But don't worry—he's perfectly fine. He just needs rest and recovery. He should regain consciousness soon."

However, the medical ninja's expression darkened as he continued.

"That said, there is something… unusual about him. This boy has no chakra in his body."

Might Guy's eyes widened. "No chakra!?"

The doctor nodded. "Yes, but what's even more fascinating is that he doesn't have a chakra network at all. Even regular farmers, despite having little chakra, still possess a chakra network. But this boy… he has nothing. In all my years, I have never seen a human being without a chakra network—until now."

He paused before asking, "Do you know who this boy is or where he came from?"

Might Guy quickly shook his head. "I have no idea. I just found him in the woods."

Hearing this, the medical ninja frowned. "This boy is one of a kind. I must report this to the Hokage immediately."

With that, the medical ninja turned and left the room, leaving Might Guy alone with the unconscious boy.

However, Akuma, who had been listening the entire time, cursed his fate internally.

And before Might Guy could even leave, Akuma opened his eyes.

Seeing Akuma awake, Might Guy's face lit up with a happy smile. "Kid! Are you okay!?" he asked excitedly.

Feigning confusion, Akuma blinked a few times before weakly asking, "Where am I…? And who are you?"

With his usual enthusiasm, Might Guy pointed at himself and said in a cheerful voice, "My name is Might Guy! You can call me Guy-sensei! I found you passed out in the forest while I was training. Right now, you're in Konoha's hospital." He paused for a moment before asking, "What's your name?"

Akuma put on a confused expression before replying, "My name is Akuma Ito."

Might Guy nodded. "So your name is Akuma. Can you tell me where your family lives? I can take you to them."

Hearing that, Akuma's expression darkened. His face fell, and in a low voice, he murmured, "They… were killed by bandits, but I escaped."

Hearing Akuma's response, Might Guy paused for a moment before asking, "Do you have any relatives you can go to?"

Akuma quietly shook his head.

Might Guy give him a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, you're safe here. Just get some rest." With that, he quickly left the room, leaving Akuma alone with his thoughts.

"Thankfully, my plan worked. I'm in Konoha," Akuma thought to himself. "Luckily, I stored my Clothes of Perfection in my inventory before entering the hospital. If I had been wearing it, that medical ninja would have definitely noticed my abnormal recovery rate, making him even more suspicious."

"Well, he's already suspicious about me not having any chakra, but that's actually a good thing. If they're curious about why I don't have chakra, they'll probably keep me here, exactly what I want."

Satisfied with his situation, Akuma let out a small breath. "For now, I'll just sleep and wait. Once I see what decision they make, I'll plan my next move accordingly."

With that thought, he closed his eyes and allowed himself to drift into sleep.
