Naruto: Born Gifted in Konoha

Chapter 129: Chapter 129: Chaos

"Quick, hold her down!" shouted a member of the Sealing Team.

Whoosh! A yellow flash zipped through, and Minato Namikaze suddenly appeared beside Kushina, who had transformed into a tailed beast form.

Boom! Without hesitation, Minato hurled a spiraling blue sphere at her nearly unrecognizable form, driving her into the ground.

Roar! Stung by the attack, Kushina bellowed even louder, her five massive tails swinging wildly behind her.

Boom! Several tails lashed toward Minato, but before they could hit, he vanished—his Flying Thunder God Technique making him untouchable.

Kushina, her consciousness overtaken by the Nine-Tails' beastly instinct, leaped upward. Behind her, several tails fanned out like blossoms.

Boom! Landing again, she had already moved over a hundred meters away.

Dust and debris scattered. To her, this entire district looked like a miniature model city—something she could crush with a single stomp.

Minato frowned, sensing that Kushina's condition wasn't normal.

As the last surviving heir of the Uzumaki Clan, she mastered their strongest individual sealing technique—the Adamantine Sealing Chains. Logically speaking, even in a weakened state, she shouldn't be overwhelmed mentally by the Nine-Tails whose seal had already been completed.

But the fact remained: Kushina currently showed no signs of lucidity.

Shush! Vanishing once more, Minato reappeared above Kushina, right where a kunai had just sliced through.

Boom! With tremendous force from above, Minato dropped from midair and stamped down on Kushina's tailed beast head. A thin layer of chakra surrounded him, preventing Minato from being overwhelmed by Nine-Tails' chakra.

Roar! Kushina struggled to lift her head—it was extremely difficult—but she roared furiously regardless.

And as Minato landed, a black cursed seal expanded outward from beneath his feet, enveloping Kushina within it.

[Four Symbols Seal]

Minato realized that someone had damaged one corner of the seal inside Kushina, allowing the Nine-Tails' chakra to extend further and forcibly dominate her body.

Boom! The Nine-Tails erupted again—finally seeing a chance to escape only to find itself trapped under yet another sealing technique, leaving it frustrated.

Red ominous chakra surrounded Kushina, forming an even larger [Nine-Tails Cloak] that crushed the nearly-formed seal technique into oblivion.

"Haa!" Minato's eyes narrowed. With his hands forming ninja seals, he pressed down harder on the [Nine-Tails Cloak].

"Sealing Team, prepare yourselves!"

Realizing Minato alone couldn't re-seal the Nine-Tails, Shikaku signaled to the Sealing Team members who had already arrived.

"Yes sir!" A group quickly took positions around Kushina, encircling her completely.

Meanwhile, far away, a dark figure rapidly approached—an absence at Hokage Building earlier, The Third Hokage was now heading this way…

...

"Too bad!" White Zetsu muttered, eyeing the red figure pinned beneath Minato with a savoring expression.

"Truly worthy of being a ninja from the Uzumaki Clan—she shook off Black Zetsu's control so fast! Looks like today, the Nine-Tails won't manage to come out after all!"

White Zetsu glanced at Saitama, who hadn't spoken yet, and continued talking.

He had thought that with Black Zetsu's help, the Nine-Tails would be able to break through the seal today and finally escape. Unexpectedly, Kushina regained consciousness so quickly and began fighting the Nine-Tails for control over her body.

This caused the Nine-Tails to become unable to fully focus outward, getting sealed again.

"Let's go! That's all there is to see today."

Saitama turned around, preparing to leave. Based on how things currently stood, the Nine-Tails no longer had the power to create any significant trouble.

With Kushina regaining consciousness, even someone like Minato Namikaze, The Third, or the Sealing Team alone could easily deal with a Jinchuriki in Half-Tailed Beast Transformation.

White Zetsu looked regretfully at the battlefield one last time before his body slowly sank into the ground.

Saitama followed right after him. His plan to infiltrate Konoha today could already be considered quite successful.

He got the ninjutsu he needed without causing too much commotion. In fact, Minato Namikaze thought Saitama had stolen the Scroll of Seals just to lure him away.

Roar! The Nine-Tails let out one final roar, conveying its frustration and rage through this cry.

The battle was already decided. Although it was the strongest Tailed Beast, due to the seal, it couldn't unleash its full power. Plus, the Jinchuriki kept wrestling control of the body from it, making it even harder for the beast to exert itself.

Minato Namikaze stood atop [Nine-Tails Cloak], continuously suppressing the fox from above.

Meanwhile, the Sealing Team surrounded them, collectively activating [Four Symbols Seal]. As a technique traditionally used to seal Tailed Beasts, they were also familiar with it.

But because of its difficulty, it required multiple people to perform together.

The Third stood outside the battlefield, keeping watch for any sudden changes.

Although he knew some sealing techniques, he wasn't particularly skilled in them, so he chose to remain outside the battle as an observer.

The Nine-Tails' chakra was rapidly decreasing, its red, violent energy continuously retracting back into Kushina's body.

Soon, with everyone's assistance, the [Nine-Tails Cloak] gradually vanished, along with several of its tails disappearing one by one.

All the chakra was sealed back inside Kushina's body, and she plummeted downward from midair.

Thud! Minato Namikaze fell with Kushina and caught her in his arms right before they hit the ground.

"It's okay now!" Minato looked at Kushina's torn hospital gown and held her tightly, a hint of pain flashing across his face.

"Minato!" Kushina struggled to open her eyes, looking at the face just inches away from hers, her eyes beginning to well up.

For a moment there, she really believed she'd sink forever into the Nine-Tails' world—a place filled with endless violence and darkness that made her feel as if she were reliving some dark days from her past.

"I'm here!" Minato gently kissed Kushina's forehead.

Kushina slowly closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep.

After going through childbirth and struggling against the Nine-Tails, both physically and mentally, she was completely exhausted.

If not for the Uzumaki Clan's remarkably strong constitution, Kushina might not have been able to endure everything.

Minato's face was unusually grim, and fury boiled inside him.

Those mysterious attackers targeting Kushina—it was clearly a carefully planned operation.

Whether their goal was the Nine-Tails or Kushina, either one hit close to home.

Minato Namikaze glanced around and realized everyone was waiting for him to speak. The Third stood silently aside, watching as well.

"Everyone, first clean up this place, settle the injured, and have the Anbu maintain vigilance. Have the Anbu investigate all suspicious individuals in the village!"

Minato Namikaze hugged Kushina and carried her in one direction—he still needed to take her somewhere safe.

As for his child, Shikaku had already told him that the baby—Naruto—was with him and completely safe.

The following days were hectic. Although the Nine-Tails' outburst lasted only briefly, it still caused immense destruction.

Luckily, the villagers had been evacuated early on, so there weren't many casualties—mainly damaged buildings and injured ninjas.

...

"Spice, how are you feeling?" Minato Namikaze sat by the bedside, peeling an apple with a knife while looking at Kushina, who half-lay on the bed.

"Much better!" Kushina's physical constitution was extremely strong. Enhanced by both Uzumaki vitality and the Nine-Tails, she quickly regained her strength.

Minato Namikaze had sent Naruto to stay at Shikaku's house temporarily for the next few days.

After all, Shikaku's wife had just given birth to a child not long ago.

"Then I'll go get Naruto back today!"

Minato Namikaze noticed Kushina's expression. He extended the apple slice toward her while speaking.

He didn't bring up what happened that night, but he wasn't going to let it go either. His Anbu had scoured every corner of Konoha, yet found nothing.

Once Kushina fully recovered, Minato Namikaze would carefully ask her about the enemy. For now, he'd let her rest and regain strength after such a traumatic experience.

"Great!" Kushina smiled brightly. She hadn't seen Naruto even once since his birth, which made her feel terrible.
