Naruto: Born Gifted in Konoha

Chapter 127: Chapter 127: The Scroll of Seals and Minato Namikaze

Hokage Building.

At night, there was no sign anyone remained inside. However, anyone with a trained eye would know Anbu guards were definitely hiding somewhere nearby.

Saitama crouched in a corner, waiting quietly for his opportunity.

When Kushina went into labor, the tailed beast wouldn't stay quiet. That would be his perfect moment to make his move.

"I wonder where Zetsu went? If he were here, I could have him distract people's attention."

While thinking to himself, Saitama knew Zetsu had better hiding abilities and was more skilled at such tasks.

...

Konoha Hospital.

As Kushina went into labor, the Nine-Tails grew more restless. Its ominous red chakra continuously spilled from her body.

Even the medical team assisting with the delivery had to divert several members just to hold her down.

Though still conscious, the enhanced strength granted by the Nine-Tails made every movement Kushina made extremely forceful.

Outside the room, Minato Namikaze paced back and forth, his youthful face betraying anxiety.

The Third calmly sat on a bench, puffing smoke one drag at a time.

He'd seen many situations like this before, so his heart wasn't particularly worried. As for Minato, after experiencing a few more times, he would get used to it too!

The Third shook his head slightly and resumed watching the full moon beyond the window.

Tonight's moon hung large and luminous in the sky, framed by a sea of stars that only added to its charm.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

A series of explosions erupted from several directions in the village, abnormally loud in the quiet night.

It was nearly midnight; most villagers were asleep when the explosions jolted them awake.

Hiruzen frowned, slowly removing the pipe from his mouth. That's exactly what he was here for.

Meeting Minato's eyes, Hiruzen tapped the pipe and said, "I'll go check things outside. You keep guarding here!"

After speaking, Third Hokage placed the pipe on the chair, took off his outer robe, revealing the black ninja armor underneath—shoulder guards, arm guards, and abdominal armor, completely equipped!

"Thanks for your trouble, Lord Third," Minato nodded. Right now, all he needed to do was protect his wife, their newborn, and keep watch over the Nine-Tails.

Having a jinchuriki give birth had always been a secret operation for Konoha. But enemies might discover this through various channels.

Konoha had long established multiple contingency plans to prepare for all possible scenarios.

...

"Doing this should draw some attention, right?" White Zetsu peeked half his body from the wall, watching the sparking explosive tags burning below.

"Let's go. Someone is coming!" Black Zetsu spoke while glancing toward The Third's location. Though aged, his presence was still unmistakable.

"Alright then. The rest is up to Saitama now!" White Zetsu's eyes flickered with amusement as he slowly melted into the wall.

...

"Lord Third!" an Anbu guard knelt on the ground, reporting information to Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"Did you find anything?"

The Third looked at the area where the explosion had ended.

"No enemy in sight for now, but this was clearly a deliberate act!"

The Anbu member quickly added, his masked face revealing confidence underneath.

"Continue sending people to search the area. Also, strengthen security near the hospital!"

The Third glanced around and noticed lights turning on in the apartment buildings surrounding the explosion site, clearly disturbed by the blast.

Konoha villagers were mentally tough—they didn't panic even when explosions shook their homes. Once confirming there was no damage, they remained calm—some even had the temperament to watch the commotion.

The Third frowned, seemingly deep in thought.

Continuing to stare at the explosion site, his frown grew deeper.

"What was the enemy's purpose? Was it just to draw me away?"

The Third looked toward the direction of the hospital. The explosion happened at the village's edge, while the hospital was nearly at the village center.

...

"There's movement. Could this be Zetsu's doing?" Saitama heard noises from outside and prepared to act.

Saitama dove underground as he moved toward the building.

Using his sensing abilities, he could detect scattered chakra fluctuations throughout the structure. Though well-concealed, they still couldn't escape his perception.

Brushing past those guards easily, Saitama rushed toward the most powerful barrier he could sense.

Throughout the Hokage Building, many places were protected by barriers. Saitama chose the strongest one, which also happened to be closest to the Hokage Office.

Soon, he entered a pitch-black room. However, the very center still held a beam of light shining down onto a thick scroll.

Even though it was the first time he'd laid eyes on it, Saitama instantly knew this was the real Scroll of Seals.

Swish! Four figures appeared before Saitama, all wearing masks—the elite Anbu ninja.

"Who are you?" One Anbu stared at Saitama, suddenly emerging from the ground. He was extremely vigilant, already holding his weapon and ready for battle.

Saitama wore a mask too—one made of plain brown wood with minimal decorations, appearing quite ordinary.

Swish! Without wasting words, Saitama attacked immediately. There wasn't any extra time to waste right now.

This was the most critical part of the village—no room for jokes.

Without knowing whether the Anbu had already sent word to their allies, Saitama sprang forward from the ground. [Electric shocks began wrapping around his body] as he shot toward the Anbu group.

Crackle! As Anbu members, their strength was certainly no joke, but against Saitama, they still couldn't gain the upper hand.

Dodging their movements, Saitama used his arm like a blade. Blue chakra surged along his palm's edge. His hand swept across one Anbu's chest, leaving a wound from which blood immediately spurted out.

Knowing that using ninjutsu would be too risky in such a confined space, the Anbu were forced to fight entirely within Saitama's taijutsu domain.

Without even activating his Sharingan, after several quick rushes, all four members—renowned as the most elite unit—fell onto the ground, their life statuses unknown.

"The defense here is too simple, isn't it?" Saitama felt disbelieving yet kept moving forward, approaching the scroll resting on the pedestal.

The fight had been nearly silent—thanks to the barrier, sound barely escaped beyond the room.

"Well then, I'll be taking this!"

A hand rested on the scroll as a smile crept across Saitama's face beneath his mask.

Outside the delivery room at Konoha Hospital.

Minato Namikaze's expression shifted, as if sensing something.

The alarm Ninjutsu he had set up around the Scroll of Seals just transmitted a message—someone was moving the Scroll of Seals!

Without hesitation, Minato vanished from the spot. He had left a Flying Thunder God mark on the Scroll of Seals.

"Hmm?" Saitama's face showed some embarrassment. He could be seen gripping one side of the scroll with a single hand when a flash of yellow light occurred and another hand grabbed the opposite side.

"Minato Namikaze!" Saitama's heart tightened suddenly. Of all people in Konoha, facing Minato Namikaze was the last situation he wanted to find himself in.

That "legendary speed"? Definitely no exaggeration! Saitama knew that in terms of speed, he still had quite a gap to overcome against Minato.

Minato remained expressionless, gripping the scroll tightly while glancing toward the enemy who had deliberately hidden his face.

Swish! Instantly exerting strength, powerful electric currents traveled down Saitama's arm and surged along the scroll, shooting straight toward Minato.

The Scroll of Seals was no ordinary material, and Saitama wasn't worried about damaging it.

At the same time, Minato spun a Rasengan in his right hand and hurled it straight at Saitama.

[Chidori Current][Rasengan]

Saitama's Sharingan activated instantly. When facing off against Minato, not for a moment did he dare to become careless.

Swish! Tracking Minato's movement trajectory, Saitama twisted sideways to avoid the attack.

Boom! Minato delivered another kick, which Saitama blocked with his knee while grabbing the scroll and retreating backward.

That previous Chidori Current had forced Minato to loosen his grip on the Scroll of Seals.

Narrowing his eyes at Saitama, Minato looked at him. The eye holes in Saitama's mask were narrow, but Minato saw clearly enough to spot a pair of Sharingan eyes.

"Uchiha?" Minato wondered inwardly. Was this ninja part of the Uchiha Clan?

But judging from his abilities, he wasn't anyone Minato recognized among the Uchiha ninjas.

A flash of yellow light! Minato disappeared again, though Saitama wasn't surprised at all.

The moment Minato appeared, Saitama realized there must have been a Flying Thunder God seal on the scroll. At the instant he seized the scroll earlier, he had confirmed the position of the seal.

Now prepared, Minato's Flying Thunder God no longer seemed mysterious to Saitama.

[Lightning Release - Chidori]

Clamping his left hand shut, a dazzling ball of lightning crackled. As soon as Minato vanished, Saitama immediately hurled the attack toward the area beside the scroll.

Sure enough, Minato reappeared at that exact location.

Saitama's eyes narrowed. Increasing his chakra output, he made the Chidori even brighter.

"What is this?" Minato instantly recognized this jutsu upon reappearing.

He twisted his body and slid a kunai from his sleeve into his palm.

Swish! The kunai was thrown toward Saitama, trailing a faint blue chakra vortex.

Saitama didn't retreat. Minato was right in front of him; there was absolutely no reason to back down now. He dodged aside his head to evade the kunai.

Swish! Minato disappeared once more, reappearing next to the kunai. Simultaneously, he grasped the kunai mid-air and threw it again, with Saitama as the target.

Saitama's Tomoe spun as his left hand traced a circular arc through the air. He squatted downward to complete the charging motion before suddenly bursting forward.

Fighting Minato Namikaze required two things: quick reactions and speed that kept you in the game.

And Saitama knew there was one more crucial rule—Minato must not be allowed to touch him, or he would carve a sealing mark upon contact.

Whoosh! Saitama's attack missed again as Minato appeared beside a Kunai, launching a Rasengan at him.

Thud! Saitama had expected this, constantly tracking the Kunai's position.

Mid-air, Saitama twisted his body in a full rotation, his left hand releasing the electric current to form a sphere even larger than Minato's Rasengan.

[Big Ball Rasengan]

Boom! The two attacks clashed on impact, exploding with shockwaves radiating outward.

"Who exactly are you?" Minato looked at Saitama's enhanced Rasengan, his mind becoming slightly disoriented.

Another Sharingan user? Chidori now, and then Rasengan?

Saitama's Big Ball Rasengan suppressed Minato momentarily, but the next second, Minato disappeared again.

"This is really annoying!" A look of frustration crossed Saitama's masked face.

Fighting someone like Minato, who mastered Space-Time Ninjutsu, was maddeningly frustrating.

You couldn't land a hit—and it drove you nuts!

...

Konoha Hospital.

The number of ninjas guarding Kushina here was considerable, and each one was an elite fighter.

Invisible spores floated in the air, slowly seeping into the bodies of the nearby guards.

Using [Kagero no Jutsu], Zetsu quickly reached the delivery room.

A few Medical Ninjas were tending to Kushina during labor.

"The head is out—she'll be done any second now!" Biwako wiped sweat from Kushina's forehead and whispered comforting words.

Zetsu slowly emerged from the others' blind spot.
