Hokage's Office

As the sun reached its peak, the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, stood by the window in his red robes, calmly gazing at the prosperous streets of Konoha.

"Sarutobi, the Nine-Tails Jinchūriki is exhibiting abnormal behavior."

Danzo, wrapped in bandages, entered the Hokage's office with a cane. "Today, he attempted to attack civilians and forced one of them to kneel and apologize."

The Third Hokage turned slightly and glanced at him, responding calmly, "Yes, I know."

"Good, since you're aware of this, then it's best to hand him over to me. Let me train him into a proper weapon for Konoha's defense," Danzo insisted.

Sarutobi narrowed his eyes slightly and took a slow puff from his pipe. "I will handle Naruto myself. You are not to interfere without permission."

Hearing this, Danzo's expression darkened. He snorted coldly and turned to leave.

"You'll regret this."

Regret?

He had many regrets already.

After Danzo left, Sarutobi exhaled a plume of smoke. "Naruto, will you be another regret of mine?"

Inside the Mindscape

"Tick-tock."

"Tick-tock."

Naruto looked around. The environment was dark and damp, with water about ten centimeters deep beneath his feet. In the distance, he could hear the faint growls of a beast.

The path ahead was unclear. Naruto touched the walls and walked forward slowly. As he progressed, the light gradually brightened until he reached the end of the tunnel—where a massive cage stood before him.

His mouth fell open, and his eyes widened in shock.

Inside the cage was a giant fox, imprisoned in a peculiar manner.

Having watched the Naruto anime before, Naruto wasn't particularly overwhelmed by the sight of the Nine-Tails itself. What truly shocked him was how the beast had been restrained.

To put it simply...

It could be summed up in one letter:

"M."

Both of the fox's forearms were bound behind its head, and its long snout was tightly sealed by iron chains, preventing it from speaking. It could only let out muffled growls.

Kyuubi's eyes were filled with overwhelming hatred. It struggled against the iron chains, attempting to break free by channeling its chakra.

Unfortunately, it was futile. Even its chakra couldn't escape the chains' suppression.

[The Nine-Tails glares at you with seething hatred. It doesn't know who is responsible for its current restraints, but it only wants to vent its fury and tear you apart. Your available choices are...]

[Option 3 – Be Reckless: The big fox isn't bad—it's just fully restrained now, hehehe. (Reward: 5% control over the Nine-Tails)]

[Option 4 – Be Ruthless: No need for words, just break it into pieces. (Reward: 50% of the Nine-Tails' chakra)]

Upon hearing the system's announcement, Naruto quickly realized that the Nine-Tails' current state was likely a result of the chakra disturbance cleansing from earlier.

Was its chakra interference the root cause? Was this the best way to neutralize it?

But seriously... why did they have to bind Kyuubi like this?

Sure, it was effective, but it was also... undeniably weird.

And what was with the "Wantful Acting"? Was the system trying to mess with him? He wasn't into that kind of thing! Could they not involve him in some bizarre interspecies nonsense?!

[Option 4 – Be Ruthless] was out of the question. Even after stepping inside the cage and boldly testing it, Naruto couldn't even pluck a single hair from the Nine-Tails, let alone destroy it.

As for Option 2 – Be Rational, Naruto found it quite appealing. But how was he supposed to convince the fox to rationally sign a contract when it was currently tied up in such a humiliating position and couldn't even speak?

That left Option 1 – Stay Friendly.

The Nine-Tails' savage eyes locked onto Naruto, clearly puzzled by his presence. It had no idea what the small human insect was doing or why he had suddenly changed.

It had merely been using its chakra to subtly disturb the brat as usual, slowly influencing his mind.

But today, out of nowhere, countless chains had materialized and sealed it completely.

Whose sealing technique was this?! It was terrifying!

"Kyuubi!"

The small human, barely as big as a fingernail in its eyes, called out to it.

"Have you considered signing a contract with me? If you agree to become my servant, I'll grant you some freedom." Naruto still wanted to try Option 2, mainly because he was curious about the contents of the Demon Contract.

Suddenly, the chains around Kyuubi's snout loosened slightly, giving it just enough freedom to let out a deep, enraged roar.

"ROOOOAAARR!!"

A powerful tremor surged through the chamber, pushing the water outward from the cage.

But it was useless.

The chains held firm.

"Hah, you really don't want to cooperate, huh? Looks like I was overthinking things."

Naruto scratched the back of his head and smiled at the Nine-Tails. "Today's sealing is just a warning. If you try anything again, I won't hesitate to punish you even more severely next time—maybe even **tear you apart."

"Hah! You pathetic insect think you can tear me apart? Go ahead and try!"

Kyuubi scoffed at the absurdity of Naruto's words. As a Tailed Beast, it knew better than anyone how powerless Jinchūriki truly were against their own Biju.

But in the next moment, Kyuubi's laughter abruptly stopped.

Naruto raised his hand slightly. At the same time, Kyuubi's right toes twitched uncontrollably—completely outside of its will.

[Ding! Congratulations, Host, for completing Option 1. Reward successfully distributed. You have gained 3% control over the Nine-Tails. You are now 97% away from full control.]

"Hmm... this reward seems pretty nice."

Reality

When Naruto opened his eyes again, the room was completely dark.

"It's already night?"

"The transformation took quite a while... What's the point of 'removing imperfections'? I hope I don't look too different."

He hopped off the bed and rushed to the bathroom, switching on the lights.

In front of the mirror, Naruto stood frozen, reaching out to touch his own face.

"Incredible..."

The figure in the reflection was no longer a small, scruffy-looking boy. His face was still the same—at first glance, nothing seemed drastically different. But upon closer inspection, he appeared like a completely new person.

His skin was now fair and smooth, his facial structure sharper, his eyebrows more defined, and his deep blue eyes shone with an intense brilliance. His nose bridge was taller, his lips thinner, and the six whisker marks on his cheeks had vanished.

Even his height had increased significantly—probably by around six centimeters.

If he had to describe it, he looked like a "premium version of young Minato."
