Chapter 206: Chapter 206
"Roar!!!"
The six-tailed beast, a monstrous, rhino-like creature with acidic breath, let out an earth-shaking roar. Its glowing red eyes locked onto Konan and Guren, recognizing their hostile intent.
Konan didn't hesitate. With a wave of her hand, thousands of razor-sharp paper spears materialized in the air, infused with her chakra to become as strong as steel. They shot forward in an overwhelming barrage, aiming to pierce the beast's hide.
Guren acted in tandem. Her clone and real body slammed their palms into the ground.
"Crystal Release: Jade Prison!"
Chakra surged through the terrain beneath the six-tailed beast, and crystalline structures erupted from the earth, ensnaring its legs. The beast, already massive, realized it couldn't dodge and immediately released a thick, noxious acid mist from its pores.
ZZZZZZZZZ!!!
The mist hissed upon contact, melting Konan's paper spears before they could reach their target. Even the spears hardened to the density of steel were reduced to nothing in an instant.
Only Guren's crystal remained unscathed.
Konan's eyes narrowed. She hadn't expected her attack to be rendered useless so quickly. This wasn't good—her arsenal was mostly ineffective against the corrosive gas.
Guren caught her gaze. Without words, they understood each other. Konan, originally the main attacker, shifted into a support role while Guren took the lead.
CRACK! BOOM!
The six-tailed beast roared and flexed its immense strength, shattering the crystal restraints at its feet. Without wasting a second, it spewed a jet of corrosive liquid straight toward them.
"Crystal Release: Emerald Mirror!"
Guren's crystal clone sprang into action, erecting a thick crystalline wall to block the acidic blast.
Konan took the opportunity to ascend into the air, her paper wings spreading wide like an angel's. From above, she launched a hailstorm of paper needles, each as sharp as kunai.
The barrage struck the six-tailed beast's body, but the corrosive liquid seeping from its skin neutralized most of the attack before it could do significant damage. Even so, the beast flinched slightly at the stinging sensation.
It lifted its head, preparing to unleash another wave of acid mist—but Guren wasn't about to let that happen.
"Crystal Release: Giant Hexagonal Shuriken!"
A massive, intricately carved crystal shuriken spun through the air, reflecting the dim light ominously. It cut through the wind like a blade of death, forcing the beast to cease its attack and defend itself.
The beast swung its enormous tail, deflecting the shuriken with brute force. But the moment its tail struck the crystal, the ground beneath it erupted in sharp crystalline spikes.
"Crystal Release: Divine Crossing Technique!"
A storm of crystal lances shot upward, piercing through the beast's thick hide. The sheer force of the attack caused the beast to bellow in pain. Its body trembled, and then—
BOOM!
A sinister aura erupted from the creature. Its chakra swelled, causing the ground to quake as a sphere of dark energy began forming in its mouth—a Tailed Beast Ball.
Konan's eyes flickered. She clenched her fist.
"Paper Art: Divine Paper Dance!"
Unseen by the beast, thousands of paper tags had already scattered around it, camouflaged perfectly with the battlefield. Now, with a single command, Konan transformed them all into explosive tags.
The ground around the beast ignited in a series of thunderous explosions, engulfing the monster in flames. Smoke and debris filled the air, the shockwave rattling the surrounding trees.
Guren didn't waste the opportunity.
She and her clones synchronized their chakra.
"Crystal Release: Eightfold Crystal Prison!!!"
Massive crystal formations surged from the ground, encasing the six-tailed beast in a growing cage of indestructible mineral. The beast struggled, roaring in defiance, but the crystalline structure was already sealing it completely. Within seconds, its writhing form was trapped in an enormous, gleaming prison.
Konan and Guren exchanged glances. Then, slowly, a smirk crossed their lips.
"Success."
"You're incredible, Guren," Konan admitted, brushing back a stray strand of hair. "Your Crystal Release is far more useful than my Paper Release in this battle."
"No way, Sister Konan," Guren responded modestly. "I was just lucky that my abilities countered the beast's acidic attacks."
Their mutual praise was interrupted by the sound of slow, deliberate clapping.
CLAP. CLAP. CLAP.
Uchiha Shin emerged from the shadows, his piercing Sharingan eyes gleaming with satisfaction.
"Well done, both of you," he said smoothly. "I can see how much you've grown."
"Shin-sama!"
Konan's face lit up as she rushed forward, leaping into Shin's arms. Guren, more reserved, stood back with a subtle look of longing.
Shin smirked. He wasn't blind to the jealousy simmering in Guren's eyes. Without hesitation, he pulled her close with one hand while holding Konan with the other.
"You've both done well. You deserve a reward."
He leaned in, pressing a lingering kiss onto Konan's lips. Guren's face turned scarlet as she averted her gaze, only to yelp softly when Shin suddenly cupped her chin and kissed her next.
"M-Master~" Guren stammered, pressing a hand to her burning cheeks.
Konan pouted playfully. "Shin-sama~ I want more too~"
Shin chuckled darkly. "Don't worry, I'll make sure neither of you feel left out."
However, this was not the time for pleasure. With the six-tailed beast captured, there was still work to be done.
Summoning the Outer Path Gedo Statue, Shin channeled its eerie energy to absorb the beast's chakra. The six-tailed beast let out one final howl before its body was pulled into the massive, ominous statue.
With that, another piece of his plan was in place.
Now, only a few more remained.
His next target? The Hidden Cloud Village.
———
The Hidden Cloud Village loomed ahead, a fortress in the mountains shrouded in swirling storm clouds. Thunder rumbled overhead, the very atmosphere exuding power.
But for Shin, its defenses meant nothing.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!"
"It's Uchiha Shin! He's attacking the village!"
Despite their immediate response, the village was already at a disadvantage. Most of its strongest fighters, including the Raikage, had been sent to the battlefield, leaving only a handful of elite jonin and the village's Jinchūriki behind.
They had expected Shin to come eventually.
But they had no idea just how unstoppable he had become.
A smirk played on Shin's lips as he strode forward, eyes gleaming with anticipation.
"Let's begin."
