Naruto: Awakening Eternal Power with My Eye Techniques

Chapter 98: Perfecting the Technique of Kujaku

Shiyu Uchiha had chosen a remote location for his hideout, protected by a sensing barrier. The chances of being disturbed were practically zero. Plus, the storage scroll he carried contained abundant supplies, so he had no concerns about encountering problems—even staying in the wilderness for one or two years was no issue.

After securing his hideout, Shiyu Uchiha began interrogating the prisoner who mastered the technique of Kujaku and bore a strong resemblance to Haru Hoshizora. He first used the Sharingan Genjutsu to extract information and confirmed that the prisoner was indeed Haru Hoshizora from the main storyline.

Shiyu then continued questioning him and successfully obtained the complete version of the technique of Kujaku. At the same time, he also gained access to the cultivation experience the Star Ninja Village had accumulated over the years, as well as detailed records of Haru Hoshizora's personal progress in cultivating this Secret Jutsu.

While cultivating, Shiyu simultaneously began studying the technique of Kujaku. With his natural talent and broad knowledge, combined with the experience of the Star Ninja Village and Haru Hoshizora's cultivation records as reference material, he quickly mastered the entirety of the method. He realized it was a Secret Jutsu based on Yang Release.

If he hadn't known this Secret Jutsu could be cultivated using Star Energy, Shiyu would have considered discarding it altogether, since the Uchiha clan normally did not possess a Yang Release attribute.

Ordinary Yin and Yang Release occurred when the spiritual energy and life energy that composed chakra became significantly imbalanced. Thus, the Senju clan, inheriting the Sage's Body, rarely used Yin Release, while the Uchiha clan, inheriting the Sage's Eye, typically avoided Yang Release as well.

Obito and Madara obtained their Yang Release through implanting Hashirama's Cells—this wasn't the usual way. Shiyu couldn't fully explain those rare individuals who possessed both Yin and Yang Release attributes at the same time, though such mutations weren't uncommon in the real world.

In the past, to verify whether he had a Yang Release attribute, Shiyu self-studied basic Medical Ninjutsu theory but, as expected, failed the attempt.

Later, driven by personal obsession, he had successively consulted with Jiraiya and Orochimaru, but the results were the same. Although he never mastered any Medical Ninjutsu techniques, he accumulated considerable knowledge about Yang Release.

Despite all this, using his vast knowledge, Shiyu could clearly see the flaws in the technique of Kujaku. This prompted him to consider further improvements. At the same time, he began researching [Star Energy]. Although his body craved Star Energy immensely, Shiyu dared not act recklessly, deciding instead to proceed gradually.

Moreover, since the technique of Kujaku was originally based on Star Energy, further research into Star Energy would also benefit its development. These two elements naturally complemented each other.

In the following period, Shiyu Uchiha continuously cultivated under Star radiation. At first, the effects weren't obvious, but as time passed, the nature of his chakra gradually changed, causing him momentary hesitation. However, after much consideration, he determined these risks were worth taking.

After all, if something really went wrong, considering Shiyu Uchiha's current status and his connection with the Senju Clan, he was confident that Tsunade would be able to heal him. Therefore, he cast aside thoughts of retreat and devoted himself entirely to cultivating Kujaku and researching the "Hoshizora."

Since Shiyu Uchiha had already thoroughly grasped the theoretical knowledge of Kujaku, he progressed extremely quickly in its cultivation. Within less than a month, he successfully mastered the first section, known as "Beast."

If Shiyu hadn't paused a few times along the way—pauses during which he adjusted certain aspects of the technique—his progress would have been even faster. Moreover, Shiyu increasingly felt a stronger attraction toward the Hoshizora, but wanting to prepare more fully, he once again restrained this impulse.

Nonetheless, this allowed Shiyu Uchiha to confidently confirm—the Hoshizora was indeed the remains of the Ten-Tails. He could sense powerful life force within the remains; it must have belonged to the Ten-Tails.

After completing the technique's cultivation, naturally, Shiyu Uchiha immediately tested it out. Just like the Star Ninja described, once activated, the [Beast] form turned his chakra into solid shapes—roaring dragon heads that could unleash devastating physical attacks.

With Shiyu's skill as a ninja, the technique packed the same punch as a C-rank ninjutsu. It offered continuous output at an impressive attack speed. Its only drawback lay in limited range, yet it still posed lethal threats to Jonin-class opponents.

Shiyu Uchiha discovered that both the speed and biting power of these dragon-head attacks were determined by the ninja's proficiency in shaping and transforming Yang Release chakra.

Just as importantly, he could reclaim unused chakra, which slashed his overall chakra usage.

At this moment, leveraging Shiyu's Sensor Ability and his exceptional control over his own chakra, he sensed subtle differences occurring within himself. Thinking back on his earlier hunches, he figured he'd probably awakened Yang Release—no proof yet, but he trusted his gut.

To test this theory, Shiyu instantly recalled the basics of Medical Ninjutsu, specifically reviewing the details of the C-ranked Blood Staunching Technique. Relying on his accumulated medical knowledge, he began training.

He mastered the basics of Medical Ninjutsu in less than a day. With no test subjects around, he grabbed one of the desert rats Saya had caught for fun and proceeded to test the technique.

First, he inflicted a small wound on the rat, then initiated the Blood Staunching Technique. Unfortunately, due to becoming overly excited—which disrupted his precision—he failed to heal the rat properly and unintentionally killed it instead.

Yet, this did prove that Shiyu now possessed the talent for Yang Release natures. After calming himself down, he resumed practicing the technique. Following several attempts, he managed to heal—and accidentally kill—multiple rats, effectively wiping out an entire family of desert rats.

Without batting an eye, Shiyu Uchiha calmly took out another rat. Finally, after multiple failures, this time he successfully performed the C-ranked Medical Ninjutsu: Blood Staunching Technique.

However, when Shiyu Uchiha attempted to further cultivate Rank-B Medical Ninjutsu — specifically the Healing Technique — he found his understanding of Yang Release nature transformation insufficient. He kept failing to channel the technique properly, so he decided to move on to practicing the next chapter of Kujaku, hoping that mastering Secret Jutsu at the same time would deepen his understanding of Yang Release nature transformation before he returned to training in Medical Ninjutsu.

Yet when Shiyu Uchiha tried to cultivate the second chapter of Kujaku, he had no choice but to stop. At this point, with deeper insight into both Kujaku and Yang Release, he found [Chapter Two: Tail] significantly more aggressive and forceful than the first.
