Naruto: Awakening Eternal Power with My Eye Techniques

Chapter 116: Splitting Dogs

In Shiyu Uchiha's eyes, the perfected Shinigami Kinjutsu should look like this:

First, one must create a special container. This container must possess immense capacity, control, and stability. It would act like a mystical treasure chest, yearning to be filled with boundless power.

Next, a large quantity of chakra is injected into the container. Inside, it would gradually give rise to four Yin Release chakra spirits similar to tailed beasts—*Chi*, *Mei*, *Wang*, and *Liang*. Although their strength pales in comparison to real tailed beasts, they still constitute an immensely powerful force, rivaling any Jonin.

These four Yin Release chakra spirits each have unique traits and powers, glowing like four shimmering pearls of mystic light. They can be sealed inside a human host using the Uzumaki clan's Sealing Technique, turning that person into a pseudo-Jinchuriki. When combined with the Yang Release techniques of the Uzumaki clan, the fusion of yin and yang gives birth to [Chakra Mode], granting the user explosive power equivalent to that of a Kage.

Even more exciting is the possibility of uniting all four spirits using [Four Demon Unification], enabling them to surpass even Kage-level strength. In other words, mastering this forbidden art might allow one to become an invincible being.

However, such a kinjutsu also carries enormous risks. A single mistake during its execution could lead to irreversible consequences. Yet for those obsessed with ultimate power, this technique remains an irresistible temptation.

This forbidden jutsu truly represents an astonishing breakthrough by the Uzumaki clan—a full display of their fanatical pursuit of strength and unmatched creativity. Even Shiyu Uchiha couldn't help but feel tempted to attempt creating a weakened version of this technique himself.

Before departing from the Land of Demons, miko Miroku generously presented him with a complete scroll detailing sealing techniques as rich compensation for abandoning his shikigami. She hoped that when the Land of Demons faced future crises, Shiyu Uchiha would come to its aid—and he readily accepted without hesitation.

Receiving a summoned beast scroll unexpectedly made Shiyu Uchiha very pleased. Driven by intense curiosity, he eagerly unfurled the scroll and was delighted to discover within it Nagato's signature summoned beast—the Infernal Dog, better known as the legendary Splitting Hound.

This summoned beast possessed a unique splitting ability, something even the three giant toads of Mount Myoboku would struggle to handle easily, proving how rare and valuable it truly was. Shiyu Uchiha couldn't bring himself to say no to such a rare gift—especially knowing how devastating Splitting Dogs could be on the battlefield.

Yet, when Shiyu Uchiha formally signed the contract and attempted to summon it, he sensed chakra comparable to that of a Jonin. As the smoke cleared, a massive red-brown dog with a blocky snout appeared before him.

The creature was huge, its fur resembling burning flames, its gaze sharp and commanding—an imposing presence that exuded an aura of untouchable majesty. Shiyu Uchiha felt particularly delighted; he knew this summoned beast would soon become a trusted companion in battle.

He carefully observed the large dog, noticing it emitted a unique aura. Unable to resist, he reached out to touch its fur, feeling its softness and warmth.

The big dog also seemed interested in Shiyu Uchiha. It lowered its head, sniffed his body, then let out a low growl. This growl rumbled like thunder, causing nearby leaves to rustle. However, Shiyu Uchiha detected no malice from this giant canine.

Lifting its head, the dog gazed at Shiyu with eyes shining with wisdom. It spoke, "Greetings, ninja lord, did you call upon me?" Its voice was deep and powerful, yet carried an air of sincerity.

Shiyu nodded and replied, "Yes, I'm Shiyu Uchiha, your new contractor. What should I call you?" His tone remained calm and resolute, displaying the composure and confidence expected of a ninja.

After asking, Shiyu nodded satisfactorily. He was quite satisfied with Liechi's behavior. Plus, Liechi seemed like a reliable and loyal guy — definitely a worthy ally.

Suddenly, Shiyu recalled his other summoned beast — Saya. While Saya did possess some combat ability, she had practically become nothing more than a source of cuteness these days.

Compared to Saya, Liechi seemed far more mature and reliable. He couldn't help thinking to himself, "I hope Liechi proves more dependable than Saya ever was. No more endless cuteness, please."

"I am Liechi, hailing from Hell's Valley. Now, I am the last one left of my bloodline," said the Splitting Hound slowly, his voice tinged with sadness and loneliness. He gazed at Shiyu quietly, his expression revealing complex emotions.

"Noble warrior of the Uchiha clan," he continued, "I know about you and your lineage through family records. In ancient times, our elders allied with members of the Uzumaki clan to battle against your people. But that was long past, during the Warring States era [an ancient period of chaos in our world], long before my time." At this point, recalling family records, his eyes flickered with caution and reverence.

"If you have awakened the triple-comma Sharingan," Liechi continued, fixing his eyes on Shiyu with anticipation, "then I can fulfill this contract." Obviously wanting to test Shiyu's strength first to ensure he possessed sufficient power to uphold their pact.

Shiyu didn't respond immediately. Instead, after a brief silence, he slowly opened his eyes to reveal blood-red irises marked with the triple-comma Sharingan pattern. A powerful surge of Dōkuriki swept through the air, making the surrounding atmosphere grow heavy.

Witnessing this display, Liechi felt Shiyu's power and nodded approvingly, showing his acceptance.

Finally, Shiyu patted Liechi's shoulder and said, "Alright then, Liechi. I'll be counting on you from now on."

Soon after, they formally established their connection. When Shiyu bonded with Liechi, he found that this Splitting Hound's battle prowess and splitting abilities were vastly inferior to those recorded in ancient texts.

It turned out this wasn't the empowered version imbued by the Animal Path, but merely an ordinary Splitting Hound.

Moreover, due to the decline of its clan, only one newly matured individual remains now.

Though the Splitting Hound's base strength isn't top-tier, it still holds great value for Shiyu Uchiha. After all, their most notable trait is their splitting ability.

When attacked, they automatically split, making them extremely troublesome for enemies. However, this power of splitting isn't limitless. Without the enhancement from the Animal Path's Rinnegan abilities, they can only split into a maximum of nine copies. Every time they split, their overall power decreases, and by the time they've divided into nine, their strength equates roughly to a Tokubetsu Jonin specialized in taijutsu.

The greatest weakness of the Splitting Hound lies in its lack of ninjutsu offensive capabilities. Yet with its innate talent and strong physique, unless encountering special circumstances—such as being sealed within a barrier or facing dojutsu techniques like Amaterasu—it's fully capable of going head-to-head with ordinary Kage-level opponents.

Especially in group battles, the Splitting Hound's numerical advantage becomes a terrifying force that can easily overwhelm enemies.

Shiyu Uchiha even applied a modified method similar to the summoning spirits' contract used by yin-yang masters (a type of Japanese sorcerer), establishing a deeper connection with the Splitting Hound. This technique created a unique bond between him and the beast, allowing simple communication through the contract.

With this, during battle, Shiyu could communicate more easily with his summoned beast, greatly improving their coordination. Furthermore, this contract had an additional surprising benefit—it enabled mutual enhancement of their respective abilities.

Shiyu discovered that the Splitting Hound grew noticeably stronger under the effect of his Sharingan's dōkuriki. The most obvious improvement was a significant increase in eyesight, which proved highly beneficial for boosting the combat effectiveness of this taijutsu-focused summon.

Most importantly, the wings on the Splitting Hound's back showed signs of further growth. According to Liechi, once these wings fully matured, its power would significantly increase.

However, as for Shiyu Uchiha himself, there were no obvious changes—after all, his own strength far surpassed that of the Splitting Hound.

Still, he felt quite satisfied. After all, enhancing the power of summoned beasts also contributed greatly to overall combat effectiveness.

On his way back to Konoha Village, thanks to his earlier gains, Shiyu developed a strong interest in Yin-Yang Release. He began attempting to explore its mysteries using his own chakra, but no matter how many times he tried, he always failed.

Eventually, he had no choice but to temporarily abandon this effort, realizing such high-grade techniques weren't yet within his reach. He decided that in the future, he should accumulate more knowledge about Yang Release (a form of advanced chakra nature transformation) first, completely perfect the Kujaku technique, and become thoroughly proficient in utilizing Yang Release before continuing deeper research into Yin-Yang Release.
