Chapter 112: Yin-Yang Master and Shikigami
Shiyu Uchiha suddenly recalled the plan he had previously made with miko Miroku—to push the opponent to reveal its ultimate trump card, forcing it to awaken its most powerful form, the shikigami state of the Yin-Yang Master. If that happened, they'd basically have completed their mission. Therefore, he decided to give Chimei Wengliang some strong stimulation.
"Want to keep your life? Then show me if you've got the money to buy it," Shiyu Uchiha said, rubbing his fingers together in the classic 'show-me-the-money' gesture, waiting for the other's response.
However, Chimei Wengliang didn't react the way he expected. Instead, it gave a confused look that made Shiyu Uchiha inwardly curse his bad luck and call it an idiot. How could it not understand such a basic concept? It truly deserved to die.
Still, hoping for possible gains, Shiyu Uchiha smiled and offered a brief explanation. Only then did Chimei Wengliang finally understand. But the next sentence it said almost made Shiyu Uchiha lose his cool.
"I don't have any money," Chimei Wengliang bluntly replied.
Shiyu Uchiha nearly lost his fake smile but quickly thought—good, no money? Perfect. He could sell his soul, wait, no—better yet, sell some knowledge about the Yin-Yang Master. With that thought, Shiyu Uchiha flashed another fake smile and began offering his so-called "guidance."
Yet, at the last moment, he suddenly shifted tone, speaking now seriously and threateningly, "You better hurry up and explain everything clearly. Miko Miroku won't wait forever. As soon as you finish talking, I must rush back to communicate with miko Miroku."
Shiyu Uchiha intentionally implied a close relationship between himself and miko Miroku, aiming to increase pressure and force Chimei Wengliang into full disclosure without delay.
While listening to Chimei Wengliang slowly spill bits of knowledge about the Yin-Yang Master, Shiyu Uchiha even threw in random questions on purpose just to drag out the conversation. Unfortunately, what little memory it had was nothing more than scattered fragments. Even details about the Spiritual Space were incomplete, amounting to nothing more than broken fragments of information. Worse still, it lacked the ability to think logically, leading to extremely vague explanations.
As time passed, Shiyu Uchiha listened intently to every word, hoping to extract useful insights. However, the memories of Chimei Wengliang appeared incomplete, offering only disjointed fragments. Though precious, these bits of information were insufficient to form a clear picture.
Furrowing his brows slightly, Shiyu Uchiha silently reflected, "This won't do. At this rate, I won't be able to grasp the overall nature of the Yin-Yang Master." Thus, he decided to change tactics—not asking aimlessly anymore, but instead focusing on key questions, attempting to dig for more valuable clues from Chimei Wengliang's answers.
"What exactly is the source of a Yin-Yang Master's power?" Shiyu Uchiha asked.
Chimei Wengliang hesitated briefly before replying, "It should be spiritual energy, I suppose. There's also something called shikigami, though they mainly handle combat."
Shiyu Uchiha continued pressing, "Then how does one enhance spiritual energy?"
Chimei Wengliang struggled to recall, stammering, "Osamu and meditation... That's all I know."
Shiyu Uchiha nodded and asked, "Then what are shikigami? What is their relationship with yin-yang masters?"
Chimei Wengliang scratched its head uncertainly. "Shikigami are spirits or demons summoned by yin-yang masters. They can assist the yin-yang masters in battle."
As Shiyu Uchiha processed Chimei Wengliang's answers in his mind, he gradually gained a basic understanding of the yin-yang master profession despite the explanation being far from perfect. At the same time, he realized he needed to seek more information to fill these knowledge gaps.
To acquire as much knowledge as possible, Shiyu Uchiha kept pressing on, hoping to pull a few useful threads from the tangled mess of info. Unfortunately, due to the inherent limitations of Chimei Wengliang itself, its answers were often vague, lacking depth and accuracy.
Especially regarding intricate and enigmatic domains like Spiritual Space, the explanations became even more inadequate. Its descriptions were full of uncertainty and contradictions, leaving Shiyu Uchiha confused and disoriented.
Nevertheless, he didn't give up. He continued questioning, hoping to find some clues within this chaos. At the same time, he realized he needed more research and exploration to truly understand the mysteries of the yin-yang masters.
Finally, Chimei Wengliang anxiously said, "That's all I know. Let me go quickly, or my chakra will be completely drained."
At this moment, its power had already dropped below half of its prime state and no longer posed a threat to Shiyu Uchiha. However, Shiyu keenly noticed the opponent was secretly trying to manipulate him, though everything remained under his control.
So he decided to buy himself more time, wearing the enemy down even further. Meanwhile, Shiyu himself was secretly planning an action, unwilling to confront directly at this moment. So he simply replied, "Okay."
Then, he pretended to communicate with Miroku for a while before saying, "Please wait a moment. Miss Miroku hasn't given me her answer yet."
As time passed, Chimei Wengliang's chakra continued depleting. Finally realizing the truth, it became extremely agitated and angrily roared, "You dare to deceive me!"
"Uh, actually not really. She just said no, and honestly, I figured you'd throw a fit, so I hesitated to tell you straight up," Shiyu Uchiha said, deliberately displaying an expression of helplessness — an attitude so infuriating one couldn't help but clench their teeth, especially coming from the already hot-tempered Chimei Wengliang.
For an instant, Chimei Wengliang fell silent as if its system had frozen. But immediately afterwards, it suddenly erupted, charging furiously toward Shiyu Uchiha like a pack of enraged beasts. At the same time, continuous roars and curses burst from their mouths — sounds as sharp and grating as a furious harpy's shriek.
Hearing these noises, a faintly smug smile crept onto Shiyu Uchiha's face — like a cold drink on a scorching summer day. Internally, he felt immense satisfaction — the grudges he bore from several days ago had finally been fully avenged, with unexpected additional rewards.
He didn't feel any guilt about deceiving them—after all, they were his enemies. Why bother with such details? Even assuming they had deceived him first, he was only fighting fire with fire, using their own methods against them.
However, Chimei Wengliang realized their strength had been severely weakened, making it impossible to pose any real threat to Shiyu Uchiha. Their inner resentment grew increasingly intense, gradually losing rationality amidst rising fury. They no longer cared about the consequences and decided to play their final trump card, in a desperate attempt to turn the tide.
