Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Kekkei Genkai
"Meat Bullet Tank!"
"Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique!"
"Water Release: Wild Water Wave!"
"Ninja Art: Fang Passing Fang!"
In the morning, an unusual spectacle unfolded on Konoha's central street.
Someone was brazenly performing Five Elements ninjutsu in broad daylight—a strictly forbidden act.
Yet no patrol ninja came to question or pursue, as this was pre-approved demolition work.
Centered on the ruined hot spring inn, several surrounding houses were cordoned off with barriers.
Led by Uchiha Sasuke, the Konoha 12 were in full swing, unleashing their ninjutsu and clan techniques to violently tear down the properties Izayoi had purchased.
Days had passed since Uchiha Itachi's brief return to the village.
In that time, Sasuke had been helping Izayoi with the demolition.
Initially, only he and Choji Akimichi pitched in.
But when other Konoha 12 members passed by and saw the scene, they eagerly joined in.
Money wasn't the draw—openly wrecking houses was far more fun than training ninjutsu at the practice field.
A series of explosions rang out, smoke billowing.
Yet, despite their efforts, the exhausted Konoha 12, nearly drained of chakra, hadn't toppled a single house.
"Forget it. I'll handle this."
Izayoi, overseeing the work in a hard hat, shook his head. He raised a hand, forming a Rasengan-sized energy sphere, infusing it with Water and Lightning chakra to create a small Storm Release orb.
With a single Judgment beam, a battered house collapsed instantly.
In under ten shots, Izayoi demolished every house within the barriers.
Finished, he called to a nearby team, "Get to work."
"Yes, sir."
A dozen well-equipped workers sprang into action, clearing the rubble.
The Konoha 12, who hadn't contributed much, joined in.
But the pace was still too slow.
At this rate, it'd take ten days to clear all the debris.
So Izayoi used a forbidden technique he'd learned but never applied until now.
Forming seals, he declared, "Multiple Shadow Clone Technique!"
A series of balloon-popping sounds echoed, and thick mist rose.
As a breeze cleared the white fog, two hundred Izayois sprang into action. Three shadow clones sped toward the Naka River to retrieve sealing scrolls.
The Konoha 12 gaped at the swarm of clones.
"Izayoi, how do you know Naruto's technique?" Nara Shikamaru squinted at the clones, asking, "If I recall, that's a forbidden jutsu listed in the Scroll of Seals."
Shikamaru didn't suspect Izayoi of stealing the Scroll of Seals—nor did he know it had been stolen.
The theft was kept secret by Konoha's leadership. Long ago, the Hokage had prepared individual scrolls for forbidden jutsu to mitigate loss risks.
As long as those scrolls remained, a new Scroll of Seals could be recreated once the next Hokage took office.
The only downside was that Konoha's forbidden jutsu could leak, potentially used against them by enemies.
Shikamaru's curiosity stemmed from Izayoi's status—he shouldn't have access to such a technique.
Even with Hyuga clan backing, acquiring it would be tough.
Did Naruto teach him?
But Izayoi's reply made Shikamaru's mouth twitch.
A clone hauling stones glanced at Shikamaru, puzzled. "Learn it? Don't you just see it once and get it?"
Realizing something, the clone added sheepishly, "Oh, sorry—I forgot your chakra's too low to even try."
"So punchable. I can't take it—die!"
Inuzuka Kiba, passing by, hurled a rock, poofing the clone into mist.
"Woof, woof!" Akamaru barked in support.
With someone taking the lead, the others piled on.
But within moments, the clone army overwhelmed them, pinning and pummeling until they begged for mercy.
"Everyone's working hard. Come grab some fruit!"
A girl's voice rang out.
Hinata, Hanabi, Yamanaka Ino, and Haruno Sakura pushed a fruit cart, calling to the group.
"Onii-chan, water!"
Hanabi, ever doting on her brother-figure, darted to Izayoi, handing him a bottle.
"Thanks, Hanabi."
The real Izayoi, supervising, took the water and patted her head with a smile.
But seeing the Konoha 12 abandon work to mooch food after barely lifting a finger, his brow twitched.
Why did every world saddle him with lazy, freeloading friends?
Luckily, after refueling their chakra, the Konoha 12 summoned their own shadow clones, getting serious.
With two hundred Izayoi clones, the Konoha 12's clones, and the dozen workers, what would've taken days was cleared in under two.
To thank the Konoha 12, Izayoi treated them to lavish meals, spending nearly a million ryo—roughly an average S-rank mission's reward.
What a loss!
But sharing battles, work, and meals rekindled their academy bonds, strengthening their friendships.
After demolition came the foundation.
A simple task—post a mission at the Hokage Tower, and hire ninja skilled in Earth Release.
Ninjutsu's original purpose was improving lives.
Work that took days in his past life was done in half a morning.
With the foundation set, the rest was left to professionals.
Izayoi could finally rest.
Walking back to the Uchiha compound alone, he suddenly paused, turning to glance curiously at the forest path behind.
"An illusion?" Izayoi murmured, then quickened his pace.
After he left, a white face emerged from a tree trunk.
The eerie sight would've scared even Konoha's brattiest kids from ever entering the woods again.
Watching Izayoi's direction, the White Zetsu clone mused, "Such sharp senses. Is that the Izayoi Kisame and Itachi mentioned? Flight and Dust Release—he's like a young Onoki. Konoha's lucky to have a genius like him now."
Unbeknownst to the clone, Izayoi had seen it all.
A blue glint flashed in his eyes, and he thought, As expected, they've infiltrated. With such a big incident, of course they'd send clones to gather intel. And there's likely more than one.
Glancing in a certain direction for a few seconds, Izayoi's face curled into a cold smirk.
The Mayfly Technique was formidable, blending with earth and plants, hiding chakra perfectly. Without revealing itself, even the Tenseigan couldn't detect it.
But as a transmigrator, Izayoi had more than one counter.
Enjoy your smugness for a few more days. Soon, the hunter will become the hunted.

"Wood Release: Great Forest Technique!"
In a remote part of the Land of Waves, a purple, translucent rectangular barrier rose.
Inside was a dense forest.
Sounds of combat echoed within.
Yamato, captured by Izayoi's shadow clone, unleashed Wood Release, sprouting vines from his arms like a swarm of snakes, binding toward a boy in a black cloak. White bandages covered his face below the eyes, revealing only crimson irises.
Facing the vines, the boy stood still.
When they bound him, he dissolved into red powder.
The next instant, a palm struck Yamato's back, black tadpole-like curse marks spreading, robbing him of control.
The boy appeared before him, unleashing Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, sealing Yamato's chakra flow, and finishing with an Eight Trigrams Vacuum Palm.
The boy stared at the blood-spitting Yamato for a moment before turning to leave.
"Heal him."
As he exited, a man's voice echoed.
A girl in a black cloak, wearing a white mask, appeared, crouching beside Yamato to administer Mystical Palm Technique.
"Cough… who are you people?"
With his body sealed and chakra blocked by Gentle Fist, Yamato could only move his mouth.
Coughing, he studied the girl. "If you think torturing me will get intel, you're naive. Save your time and kill me."
The girl ignored him.
After basic healing, she pried open his mouth, shoving in a soldier pill.
Finished, she stood and left.
Soon, the boy returned, unsealing Yamato and giving him a moment to unblock his chakra points.
Yamato was numb to it by now.
For days, this boy had tormented him at least a dozen times daily.
Surviving the repulsive storm in the underground base, Yamato thought he was dead.
Yet he awoke trapped in this barrier, a sparring partner for this boy.
The boy started with only Five Elements ninjutsu, then revealed Hyuga Gentle Fist—despite lacking Byakugan, sporting instead a red-eyed kekkei genkai said to counter it—followed by sealing techniques and advanced Five Elements jutsu.
His growth stunned Yamato.
In under five days, the boy went from an equal to crushing him.
Yet the boy didn't kill him, nor did the barrier's keepers seem intent on killing or interrogating him.
Even when injured, they sent someone to heal him and fed him soldier pills to recover.
It was bizarre!
But with a sliver of hope, Yamato fought on, seeking an escape.
As Ranmaru and Yamato began another round, outside the barrier, Izayoi's shadow clone spoke to the emerging Karin. "Karin, you can head back."
"Sixteen Night-kun, don't you need my help anymore?" Karin asked reluctantly.
"No, I've got good news," Izayoi smiled. "Konoha's Fifth Hokage is about to take office. The real me might come for you soon, recommending you to join Konoha. So go pack and wait for me."
"Really?"
Karin's eyes lit up, nodding eagerly. "Got it! I'll go pack now."
"Thanks for your hard work," Izayoi nodded.
"It's nothing, it's what I should do," Karin shook her head, waving with a smile. "I'll get ready. If you need me, just say so."
"See you."
Whether it was Karin's luck or relentless grinding paying off, barely two hours after she left, Izayoi—controlling Ranmaru against Yamato for three more bouts—saw a purple beam shoot from Yamato's body.
In that moment, Izayoi felt a weight lift, his body lightening.
"Finally dropped! Damn this drop rate—was it just because it's called Wood Release?" he cursed inwardly.
But he knew it wasn't Wood Release itself—it was the new system. Defeating versus killing had wildly different rates.
Killing enemies boosted drop rates for repeatable traits, while defeating was a gamble: hit or miss.
Having secured a counter to the Mayfly Technique, Izayoi, in Transformation Jutsu, had his puppet dispel the Four Violet Flames Formation and approached Yamato, once again bound by seals.
"Here to kill me?"
Facing the mastermind at last, Yamato braced for death.
"Thanks for your effort. Now sleep for a few years."
Izayoi placed a hand on Yamato's head, casting a sealing jutsu to lock away his consciousness.
Summoning a scroll, he retrieved a stone coffin Karin had brought, sealed Yamato inside, and applied another seal.
He then blasted a cave into a mountain, placed the coffin within, sealed the cave, and returned to the shinobi continent with the puppet.
Back on the continent, the shadow clone dispersed into white mist, returning the puppet's control to the original.
