Yui greeted his classmates with a warm tone, though inside he felt quite vexed. Despite the blank expression he often wore, his face was oddly popular among the girls at school.

Come on, he wasn't familiar with Naruto. His teenage years had been spent immersed in pirate-themed stories, and while he often argued with Naruto fans online, his understanding of Naruto's plot was rather limited.

Of course, despite his lack of familiarity with the storyline, he was quite acquainted with the characters. At least he could recall the major characters who appeared in the series. The renowned Kakashi Hatake, who entered the school at the same time as Yui, was only five years old and graduated early after just six months to head to the battlefield…

As for why Yui joined the ninja school and wanted to become a ninja?

Because staying alone was too boring.

He was from another world, in some sense, an alien or someone from the future, and was also a superpower wielder. He found it incredibly dull. So, in hindsight, he might have been better suited for "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya," which aimed to liven up the world.

In Yui's class at the ninja school, there were eight classes, each with thirty students. He was familiar with many of them, such as Ebisu, Shiranui Genma, Mitarashi Anko, Yuhi Kurenai, Sarutobi Asuma, Nohara Rin, Might Guy, Obito Uchiha, and Kakashi Hatake, who graduated early.

Of course, they weren't all in the same class, so he only knew Might Guy, Obito Uchiha, and Nohara Rin well. Mainly because Might Guy and Obito Uchiha were boisterous and friendly, and Obito always dragged the two of them toward Rin. Otherwise, with Yui's presence at school, he'd have the same level of presence as the teachers, making it impossible for him to make friends.

"We'll definitely graduate smoothly… as long as there are no ninjutsu or genjutsu sections in the exam!" Might Guy's confidence seemed unfounded; did he mean the exam would be limited to taijutsu?
