Mythical Three Kingdoms

Chapter 963: Faithful and Unchanging_2

This was essentially a battle between Sunx Ce and Yu Ji. If Sunx Ce could handle it himself or if others who were unaware of this situation suddenly appeared, it would indicate that Sunx Ce had broken free from his crisis!

Naturally, if he successfully overcame the crisis, the prior occurrences resembling cheating would be wiped clean. Regardless of Sunx Ce's future, all previous matters would be settled. It could be said that being in such a crisis is the greatest opportunity.

The most helpless aspect for Zhou Yu currently was that if he were unaware of all these matters, encountering this situation in ignorance, he would directly sacrifice his Talent of the Zither, allowing Sunx Ce to escape to safety, then having the army eliminate Yu Ji, Sunx Ce would thus achieve his breakthrough.

However, if Zhou Yu were unaware of all these matters, he surely wouldn't be by Sunx Ce's side right now. Having resolved the issues in Jingnan, he wouldn't have followed Sunx Ce to continue wandering; naturally, Sunx Ce would be alone, and without Zhou Yu present, Sunx Ce's chances of dying were practically maximal.

Unfortunately, for Sunx Ce's safety, Zhou Yu examined numerous materials and naturally understood the causal relationships therein.

Under the circumstances where the causes and effects were already clear, Zhou Yu's intervention wouldn't be considered an accident, thus offering no aid. Even if Yu Ji was eliminated, other crises would arise. Hence, after thinking it over, Zhou Yu decided to manage the risks within an acceptable range!

At least facing a known danger is far safer than facing an unknown one. Thus, unless absolutely necessary, Zhou Yu would never intervene; he had to take responsibility for Sunx Ce's future!

This was also Zhou Yu's reason for temporarily retreating; he didn't want his actions to affect Sunx Ce's future development. The talk of Fortune is elusive and mysterious, but it can't be disregarded, especially after the recent changes, which even Zhou Yu, despite being blind, could see the problems.

Of course, Sunx Quan knew nothing about these matters, nor did he overly involve himself in his brother's affairs; although Sunx Quan found Sunx Ce's actions utterly reckless, he had no way to compare them to draw different conclusions.

[Yu Ji said he started scheming against Bofu twenty years ago, implying he must have laid the groundwork back then.] Zhou Yu silently analyzed the words Yu Ji had spoken before; although he dared not intervene excessively, he had already obtained the information he wanted, and the event from twenty years ago was very important.

[If he started scheming twenty years ago, what exactly was he scheming? Based on his previous words, it could only be about fate, Fortune, meaning...]

Zhou Yu's eyes flashed with a subtle radiance, then glanced over Da Qiao and Sunx Quan, finally settling his thoughts onto himself.

[Auntie and father are almost entirely ruled out; it could only be me, Da Qiao, and Zhongmou...] Zhou Yu thought silently, then suddenly recalled an amusing story Sunx Ce's mother, his adoptive mother, had told him.

[Is it Zhongmou?] Zhou Yu silently glanced at Sunx Quan, who was there with resentment and shame, forming a suspicion in his mind, [Bofu's character is more akin to the so-called sun, while Zhongmou is more like the moon, merely an accessory, while the sun is the highest deity of all!]

At this moment, Zhou Yu had rapidly linked the past and present together and had largely understood the causes and effects, he even realized how it could be broken.

[Alas...] Zhou Yu silently glanced at Sunx Quan, directly dismissed his thoughts; Sunx Quan was still just an ignorant teenager.

"Youping, quickly kill them!" Zhou Yu commanded Zhou Tai, who was battling fiercely, and Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao also calmed down from their initial panic, staring intently at the now obscure battle.

"Kill!" Zhou Tai roared, and his initially tattered injuries swiftly closed up under his roar, while his blood surged to his eyes like a stagnant pool, and his Inner Qi was mixed with traces of blood, reaching a desperate level. He had already noticed the increasingly close coordination among the three opponents, and the strength of their Inner Qi Manifestation was gradually being brought forth.

"Not good!" Azui saw Zhou Tai's fierce momentum pressing towards him and immediately withdrew. Unexpectedly, Zhou Tai ignored the attacks from the other two, employing fatal means to chop directly towards Azui.

"Die!" The other two followers did not aide Azui, heading directly to kill Zhou Tai; they were Yu Ji's subordinates and had no real connection with Azui, their goal was to complete Yu Ji's task!

"Grant mercy!" Seeing no escape, Azui bit his tongue to blood, using a Secret Technique to trigger the outside Heaven and Earth Essence; a radiant net locking everything around appeared!

As the net appeared, Zhou Tai felt the power of all his moves borrowing Heaven and Earth Essence sharply decreased. But by this moment, the arrow was already on the string and had to fire. His eyes glinted with fierce light, perceiving Sunx Ce's dire situation; dragging on would spell trouble not just for himself but for all Sunx Ce's influence senior members here - even if it meant death, he had to eliminate this group!

The next moment, all of Zhou Tai's Inner Qi disappeared; his entire body swelled by an inch, his height rose by one-tenth, and the muscle on his shoulders and legs swelled up, veins popping like crouched dragons - he turned into a mass of muscles!

Unable to use Inner Qi did not mean Zhou Tai wasn't a top fighter. Contrarily, faced with a blockade of Heaven and Earth Essence, the power he could explode in a short time was truly beyond imagination!

The force erupting from his flesh at that instant directly tore through Azui's Celestial Lock. Before Azui could flicker away, Zhou Tai's mountain-cleaving kick landed on Azui's body. A crisp crack sounded as Azui was kicked into three segments at the waist.

"Putsi!" Two faint sounds followed; Yu Ji's two pupils stabbed their Precious Swords into Zhou Tai's back at the moment he killed Azui. Different from prior ease, it was now as if the swords stabbed into stubborn stones - though they could penetrate, it was much harder.

In an instant, with Azui killed, Zhou Tai's front and back bore two holes, with a punctured lung. Yet there was no need to worry about those now; Zhou Tai's eyes were entirely covered in dark red. In the blink of an eye, he directly lunged at one of the Daoists.

A punch aimed at one of the Daoists, without any evasion of the Precious Sword directly thrusting at his fist. His left arm was pierced halfway while Zhou Tai's right hand punched across the assailant's abdomen and chest, creating a bowl-sized hole, shattering all innards.

With a backhand swing of his left arm, he struck the Daoist he'd just punched, splattering blood foam onto Sunx Quan.

"Just one left!" Zhou Tai screamed, lunging ferociously at the opponent, taking a piercing sword through the chest. With the Inner Qi and life burning faster, his strength grew stronger, pinning the opponent down into the earth, then pounded with fury, breaking the ground into powder.

In mere seconds, under Zhou Tai's reckless explosion, burning all his Inner Qi and Essence, he managed to kill all Yu Ji's aides!

Following his rise, Zhou Tai seemed like a Ghostly Deity, with dark red Inner Qi surging intensely. This was the consequence of burning his Inner Qi and Essence to the limit: the instant kill strength returning from a Great Perfection of Inner Qi Manifestation master who burns his life and all Inner Qi!

"Go die for me!" At this stage, Zhou Tai paid no heed to the life-threatening injuries he suffered. With Essence, Qi, and Spirit burned along with everything, death was inevitable.

Zhou Tai plunged at Yu Ji like a black bear without hesitation. That fist, resembling a caldron, was swung to create explosive sound waves - since there was no rescue for him, why stop? Killing Yu Ji to protect Sunx Ce was the sole meaning of these remaining seconds of survival!

As Zhou Tai's punch came, its explosive force matched Dian Wei's regular attacks - close combat lethal enough for anyone's destruction. The true power was demonstrated in Zhou Tai's hands.
