Chapter 2653: Catch Up (2)
Yun Lintian was unfazed. He continued to channel his power, his control over the wind and earth elements growing stronger.
He could feel the resistance, the barrier's attempt to repel him, to prevent him from penetrating its defenses. But he would not be deterred. He would overcome this obstacle, he would break through this barrier.
With a final flourish of his hands, he unleashed his full power. The wind and earth elements surged forth, their combined might converging upon a single point on the barrier.
Crackle!
The barrier buckled under the pressure, its defenses straining, its structure weakening. A small opening appeared, a crack in its seemingly impenetrable armor.
Yun Lintian seized the opportunity. He focused his will, his determination unwavering, and pushed his power to the limit. The crack widened, the opening growing larger, the barrier's defenses crumbling under his relentless assault.
With a final surge of energy, Yun Lintian tore through the barrier, creating a path, a passageway that led into the heart of the inner area.
He turned to Yun Qianxue and the others. "Let's go. Follow me closely."
Yun Lintian and his companions stepped into the passageway, their figures swallowed by the swirling sand and chaos.
The passageway was narrow and winding, the air thick with a suffocating aura. The deeper they ventured, the stronger the chaotic aura became, pressing down on them with an oppressive weight.
Yun Lintian's expression remained calm, his eyes fixed on the path ahead. He could feel the resistance, the barrier's attempt to hinder their progress, but it wasn't a problem for him. He channeled his divine energy, reinforcing their defenses, protecting everyone from the chaotic aura.
As they journeyed deeper into the passageway, the temperature began to rise, the air growing hot and stifling. The sand beneath their feet turned to ash, the ground cracking and splitting under the intense heat.
Yun Lintian's eyes narrowed. He could sense the presence of powerful beings, their auras radiating through the passageway, their intentions hostile. He knew they were approaching the heart of the inner area, the place where the tunnel to the Abyssal Rift was located.
He quickened their pace, his senses heightened, his awareness reaching its peak. He had to be prepared for anything, for any challenge that awaited them.
As they neared the end of the passageway, the chaotic aura intensified, the heat becoming unbearable. The air shimmered and distorted, the shadows dancing and twisting, creating an eerie and unsettling atmosphere.
Yun Lintian stopped and signaled everyone to be ready. He could see figures emerging from the shadows, their forms humanoid but their auras demonic, their eyes glowing with a malevolent light. Without a doubt, they were Shadow Demons.
There were five of them, each radiating the aura of a General Class expert, their combined might a formidable force to be reckoned with.
Yun Lintian raised his Frostmourne Spear, its icy aura cutting through the stifling heat, its blade gleaming with a cold, sharp light.
"Be careful," he said, his voice low but firm. "These are General Class Shadow Demons."
Yun Qianxue and the others nodded, their expressions serious. They drew their weapons, their auras surging.
Swoosh!
The Shadow Demons lunged forward, their movements swift and deadly, their attacks aimed with precision.
Yun Lintian's expression remained calm, his eyes fixed on the approaching demons. He raised his hand, his divine energy surging, his aura radiating. He channeled the power of the Great Law of Life and Death, the ultimate law of the universe, the law that governed all creation and destruction. Clearly, he didn't plan to hold back.
The symbols of life and death on his Divine Core glowed brightly, their energy intertwining, merging, transforming into a chaotic force that defied all laws, all boundaries.
The chaotic force surged through his body, enhancing his strength, his speed, his senses. It flowed into his Frostmourne Spear, its icy aura now tinged with a chaotic glow, its blade humming with destructive power.
Yun Lintian's eyes gleamed with a cold, fierce light. He was ready.
The Shadow Demons reached him, their claws and fangs bared, their dark energy swirling around them. They attacked with ferocity, their movements a blur, their strikes aimed at his vital points.
However, Yun Lintian was faster. He moved like a phantom, his spear a whirlwind of chaos, his attacks a symphony of destruction. He struck, his spear piercing through the Shadow Demons' defenses, his chaotic energy disrupting their attacks, shattering their forms.
"ARGHHH!!"
The Shadow Demons howled in pain and disbelief as their bodies dissolved into nothingness, their chaotic energy absorbed by Yun Lintian's spear.
In a matter of seconds, all five General Class Shadow Demons were eradicated, their existence erased from the Ancient Battlefield.

Yun Qianxue and the others looked at Yun Lintian in awe. This was probably the first time they had seen Yun Lintian hold nothing back from the beginning.
Meanwhile, deep within the Ancient Battlefield, Dian Lun and Tang Zhen had just returned from the Abyssal Rift, the core of the Ancient Battlefield safely secured within a spatial container.
They had barely had time to catch their breath when they sensed a powerful surge of chaotic energy erupting from the outer regions of the battlefield.
Dian Lun's expression changed instantly. He recognized that aura, the unique signature of chaos that could only belong to one person.
"Yun Lintian," he said calmly. "He's here."
Tang Zhen was surprised. "How is that possible? How did he manage to reach the inner area so quickly?"
"It's him, after all," Dian Lun said in a deep voice.
He turned to the Chaos Knights, his voice booming across the chamber. "Everyone, retreat! We're leaving!"
The Chaos Knights, startled by his sudden command, quickly gathered their spoils and prepared to depart.
One after another, the Chaos Knights vanished into the tunnel under Dian Lun's gaze. He could have ordered them to hold Yun Lintian back, but he knew it was pointless.
"Let's go," Tang Zhen said.
Dian Lun nodded and was about to enter the tunnel when a powerful aura suddenly swept the entire space, causing him and Tang Zhen to halt.
At this moment, Yun Lintian and his companions flew over and landed a hundred meters away from the tunnel.
"It's you," Yun Lintian said, looking at Dian Lun with surprise.
"We meet again, Young Master Yun," Dian Lun said, smiling faintly. "However, I'm afraid you have come at the wrong time. I am about to leave."
