My Young Husband, The Assasin

Chapter 4: Princes of Hell

A few years ago, Asahi Cafe was still owned by Rika, its founder and creator, but three days ago, a teenager, only in his teens, bought the cafe at a very high price.

And that was a huge shock, especially for Aira.

The new owner of Asahi Cafe could be considered sensational, with a face far above average, flawless skin as white as snow, a perfectly sharp nose without the aid of any surgical tools, a tall and sturdy posture like an international model walking on a catwalk, black eyes as dark as the night that could hypnotize every girl, especially when they were stared at, making their hearts skip a beat, and thin, seductive lips with a natural red colour that made every girl dream or fantasize about what it would feel like to be kissed by him.

Indeed, an extraordinary, almost perfect creation of God was the ideal for many people, which explained why so many girls immediately fell for him, just from a glance. Apart from his good looks, a characteristic of the Ishikawa Clan, he was also born into a noble family with more than enough wealth to last for seven generations.

That young man's name is Renji Ishikawa. He is 18 years old and enrolled as a third-year student at Empire Gakuen, one of the most elite schools in Tokyo, Japan.

The young man who had recently been disrupting Aira's peaceful days at the cafe, where Aira had to serve him like a king, was forbidden to serve any other customers, especially male customers. There would be severe consequences and fines if she dared to break the rules.

She wanted to quit, but all her friends would be threatened with being fired. But if she kept working, she felt uncomfortable.

Why did Aira have to deal with a creature named Renji Ishikawa, the little devil bringing trouble? If only she hadn't mistakenly drunk what she thought was orange juice and ended up with Renji in the same bed.

There was no need to explain what happened that time, as it was too horrifying to remember, like a nightmare.

DING~

The sound of the bell above the cafe door rang, and her moonlit eyes looked toward the entrance to see who had arrived.

And it turned out to be the troublemaker.

Aira's eyes lazily glanced at Renji, who was still wearing his school uniform and backpack, and arrogantly walked into the cafe.

"Hey, Aira, our boss has arrived," teased Issei, nudging Aira's arm.

"Hmm," Aira responded indifferently.

Aira lowered her feet and stepped onto the cafe's marble floor with her glossy black pantofles. After almost two hours of sitting still, watching her friends busy serving customers, she could finally stand up. This worked for a paycheck without doing anything.

Knowing that the boss had arrived, Aira quickly walked toward the kitchen to prepare drinks and cakes for Renji without asking because she already knew his order by heart.

"Fujin-san, where's the cake for that little devil?" she asked the cafe's chef.

"You mean your handsome prince?" Fujin teased.

"Prince of Hell," Aira replied curtly.

Fujin laughed merrily. "Stop looking so sour, hurry and take the order to our boss. If you take too long, you'll get scolded."

Aira scowled as she walked over to Renji's table. Renji sat waiting, eagerly anticipating his beloved's arrival. Despite her annoyed expression, it seemed endearing to him because it wasn't forced.

She gently placed a slice of sponge cake with a glass of Macchiato, an espresso drink with a bit of milk, to create a visual separation between the coffee's colours.

"Please enjoy your meal, Young Master."

"Thank you. Sit down and keep me company." Renji gently pulled Aira's arm, urging her to sit beside him.

This time, Aira stayed silent, not protesting or coming up with excuses, because her primary job was to serve Renji, and she had already lost the bet, which made her position even more precarious.

Sitting beside Renji felt like a puppet, keeping him company while he ate. This job was incredibly boring and annoying for Aira, even though she didn't realize that many people envied her job and would do anything just to be close to Renji.

Boredom took over her heart as she propped her chin up, turning her face to the window and staring blankly at the view outside the cafe, which she found far more interesting.

Unbeknownst to her, Renji was sneaking glances at her. When she turned to look, their eyes met unexpectedly.

Both were startled, and Renji choked, "Uh-uhk..."

"Eat slowly. You're choking on cake like a little kid," Aira teased, offering Renji a drink.

"You did that on purpose," Renji suddenly accused.

Aira furrowed her brows in confusion. "What did I do? I've been quiet the whole time," she defended herself against Renji's baseless accusation.

"Anyway, it's your fault," Renji insisted, still blaming Aira for no reason.

Aira rolled her eyes in annoyance and turned her face away. "Whatever!" she snapped, frustrated.

She wanted to curse at Renji but held herself back. If he weren't her boss, she would have been swearing at him nonstop by now.

Aira hated looking at Renji's face, which reminded her of his strange, annoying behaviour that made her head throb and her blood pressure rise.

"Aira," Renji called gently.

"What?" she responded without looking at him, still upset.

"Aira, look at me," Renji commanded.

Sighing softly, Aira turned her face, and an unexpected scene unfolded. By accident, their lips brushed against each other.

The girls around screamed hysterically, some crying with sadness, seeing their prince kiss Aira, the cafe waitress.

Meanwhile, Saki and the other employees who had accidentally witnessed the scene were shocked and shaking their heads. "Kids these days."

Aira shot Renji a furious look. "You!!" she yelled, her cheeks burning red.

Renji smiled happily, holding his lips as though he didn't feel guilty. "Oops~"

Aira was truly angry now. She felt like pinching Renji's lips with her hand or smacking his head with the wooden tray she was carrying, hoping it would knock some sense into him and make him think again.

Being near Renji for too long was seriously affecting her health because her blood pressure kept rising.

Meanwhile, Renji continued enjoying his cheesecake with a happy expression, pleased that he had successfully teased Aira. In contrast, the teased one looked incredibly annoyed.

Just as they enjoyed this happy moment together, a man with orange hair dressed in a black shirt stood before Renji, bowing respectfully.

"Young Master," he greeted respectfully.

Renji shot a cold glance at the man named Fujita for daring to interrupt his time with Aira.

"Why are you here? I didn't call for you to come."

Fujita quickly bowed. "Apologies if my arrival is disturbing your time, Young Master, but it's time for you to leave. There's an important meeting you must attend."

"Why didn't you have Shiro replace me?"

"I'm sorry, Young Master, but this meeting cannot be delegated to anyone. You must attend it yourself."

"Tch~ annoying." Secretly, Aira smiled, happy to hear that Renji was leaving, which meant her suffering would soon end.

Yes!! Aira thought excitedly.

Renji looked at the girl beside him, who seemed happy. "You're coming home with me."

"But..."

"Don't argue. Do you want to receive a punishment from me?" Renji interrupted with a threatening tone.

Aira lowered her head sadly, her lips slightly pouting. "Yes."

"Smart girl. Then let's go home." Renji extended his hand while standing up. Aira silently stared at Renji's outstretched hand, confused. Annoyed, Renji quickly grabbed Aira's hand and dragged her out.

"Wait, I haven't changed clothes, and my bag is still in the locker."

Renji stopped and turned to look at Aira. "Quickly get it. I'll wait in the car, and don't try to run or lie to me."

"Yes." She replied and walked quickly to the changing room.

She changed from her maid outfit into a long-sleeved lavender shirt and a skirt, not forgetting her crossbody bag containing important items she needed to take.

Less than fifteen minutes later, after changing and leaving the changing room, Aira casually walked to the car parked right in front of the cafe. Renji's face looked intimidating when she got inside, and he grumbled, complaining about how slow she was, like a snail.

Whether inside or outside the cafe, Renji's attitude was very annoying. Why didn't he leave her if he was in a hurry and thought Aira was taking too long?

Aira chose to sit far away from Renji, lost in the view outside the car window. Secretly, Renji watched her and, without saying anything, laid his head comfortably on Aira's lap, just as he had expected. Aira immediately protested.

"Shut up and stop being noisy! Let me sleep until we reach your house." Aira glared at him, annoyed, looking at Renji, who had already fallen asleep on her lap. Did he think her lap was a soft pillow to rest his head?

Any protests would be useless, and getting angry was wasting energy. The words annoyed and frustrating had dominated Aira's mind all day because of Renji.

Meanwhile, Fujita smiled, watching the Young Master's unusual behaviour. It was evident in Renji's heart that Aira was someone special.
