My Wife Turns Out to be an Empress of the Dynasty

Chapter 860: A Solution Exists

Gu Lan's speed remained incredibly swift, and in the blink of an eye, he was already tens of thousands of meters away.

From a distance, loud crashing noises echoed through the air.

Boom... Boom...

Explosions rang out constantly, and the space where he had just been was shattered completely.

Yet, Gu Lan could sense that the chaos still hadn't used its full strength.

He couldn't help but take a sharp breath when he saw the chaotic force from afar.

His attacks had no effect on the chaos whatsoever.

However, if the chaos ever got close, death would surely await him.

Gu Lan's expression turned cold, his eyes filled with killing intent.

He was quite perceptive and did not hesitate, quickly retreating.

In no time, he reached Qing'er's side.

"Miss, we need to leave now!" he urged, but Qing'er smiled faintly and shook her head.

"Don't worry, it can't reach here."

At her words, Gu Lan's face filled with confusion.

Before he could speak, he noticed the chaos charging toward them.

Seeing this, Gu Lan's expression darkened, and he quickly swung his sword.

Though his sword light struck out, the chaos was halted by a mysterious force.

Gu Lan knew clearly that this was not his own power.

The only explanation was the Ancient God Clan from before.

Since the chaos couldn't break through, he didn't need to worry about it further.

But as for what to do next, Gu Lan found himself in a precarious situation.

The Mind-Clearing Spring was right ahead, but the chaos was far too powerful for him to approach.

After a moment's consideration, Gu Lan's gaze involuntarily shifted toward Qing'er.

"Miss, do you know of any solution?" he asked.

Since Qing'er had brought him here, she must know a way to resolve the situation.

He hoped to learn something from her.

Qing'er appeared to be thinking, then spoke thoughtfully.

"There is a way, but I'm not sure if you're destined to do it."

Upon hearing this, Gu Lan's eyes lit up.

"Please, Miss, take me there," he implored.

Now, he had no choice but to try, and whether or not it worked could only be known once they arrived.

Qing'er nodded as though considering something, but didn't say much else.

Turning, she started moving toward the distance.

Gu Lan, seeing this, quickly followed.

In the dark, empty void, they traveled for an unknown amount of time before Qing'er finally stopped.

Gu Lan quickly arrived beside her.

"It's over there," she said, pointing into the distance.

Gu Lan followed her finger and saw a towering stone door, standing a hundred meters high, in the middle of the void, with nothing around it.

He looked on with confusion, his face growing serious.

"Here?" he asked.

He didn't feel anything special about this stone door.

"You are the only one who can open it," Qing'er suddenly said, and Gu Lan furrowed his brow.

"How can you be so sure?"

Gu Lan felt something was off. He had the sense that he was being led to do something, yet he lacked any concrete proof.

Before he could voice his doubts, Qing'er casually explained.

"If you want to solve the chaos, you must enter here."

Gu Lan frowned, feeling cautious, and stepped forward carefully.

The moment he approached the stone door, a powerful surge of true energy erupted from within.

Though the true energy was strong, it only lasted for an instant and then disappeared without a trace.

Gu Lan was confused but didn't dwell on it. He focused his internal power and pushed against the stone door.

He had thought that it would be easy to open the door with his strength, but as soon as he exerted force, he realized things weren't as simple as he had imagined.

The stone door was sealed with a special, incredibly powerful seal.

Gu Lan exerted all his strength, yet the stone door remained unmoved.

Pulling his hands back, he furrowed his brow even deeper.

After a thorough inspection, Gu Lan's face darkened, and a sword light gathered in his hand.

Since brute force didn't work, he decided to try breaking the seal first.

With a grim look on his face, Gu Lan swung his hand, sending countless sword lights toward the door.

The sound of tearing filled the air, and the space around them trembled.

The sword light struck the stone door, producing an explosive sound.

But when the energy dissipated, only faint sword marks were left on the door.

The seal remained intact, and in fact, it seemed even stronger than before.

Gu Lan was stunned. How could the door be even more resistant than he had expected?

His face darkened further, and he prepared to try again, but just then, Qing'er's voice stopped him.

"Don't waste your energy. Brute force won't work."

At her words, Gu Lan suppressed his energy a little.

"Miss, what should I do then?" he asked.

"Use the Great Path energy inside you," Qing'er said suddenly.

Gu Lan's face immediately darkened.

He had never revealed his Great Path energy to anyone, as he didn't want to attract attention.

Gu Lan was perplexed. How did she see through him?

Before he could ponder further, Qing'er spoke impatiently.

"Stop thinking about it. Just focus on opening the door."

Gu Lan's face was filled with confusion, but he decided not to dwell on it. Since his secret was already exposed, there was no point in hiding it further.

It was better to open the door first.

With his doubts set aside, Gu Lan summoned his Great Path energy.

This power was far stronger than true energy, and golden light flashed around him.

Gu Lan was still wondering how to proceed when the energy already began to converge on the door.

As he watched, the seal on the door gradually faded away.

This amazed Gu Lan, and a smile slowly spread across his face.

Soon, the seal was completely gone.

Gu Lan's expression was calm as he exerted just a little force, and the stone door opened.

But inside, all he saw was darkness. He couldn't see anything.

With a nervous heart, Gu Lan cautiously stepped forward.

At this moment, Qing'er followed closely behind him.

"Don't be afraid. There's no danger inside," she said.

With that, she moved ahead quickly.

Gu Lan was stunned, unsure of what to say.

After a moment of hesitation, he followed her.

Passing through the black mist, the sight before him was a jade bed, upon which lay a woman.

This woman looked exactly like Qing'er.

Gu Lan was stunned and his face filled with shock.

"What's going on here?" he asked.

Seeing his reaction, Qing'er calmly explained.

"I am her clone. Only by awakening her can the chaos be suppressed."

Her words made Gu Lan frown even more.

If this was a clone, it should have no consciousness of its own.

But the Qing'er beside him clearly had an independent consciousness.

"If she's a clone, she shouldn't have an independent consciousness. Why do you?" Gu Lan asked in disbelief, confusion written all over his face.

At this moment, everything he thought he knew was being overturned.
