----------------------------------------------------------

Mafuyu Kirisu sat on the lecturer's platform of the Cooking Club at Hachiko Private Academy, giving a simple self-introduction and writing her name on the blackboard. "Starting today, I will be your advisor for the Cooking Club. If you wish to organize any activities, please apply to me, and you can also come to me for any issues," Mafuyu Kirisu stated with a serious expression.

She's completely different inside and outside of school, Renz thought to himself, grumbling inwardly. Remembering what happened yesterday, Renz felt dizzy.

Who would have thought that Sensei Mafuyu Kirisu was someone who couldn't hold her liquor at all? The most absurd part wasn't even that she was a lightweight. Renz used alcohol in his cooking to enhance the flavor, and he didn't actually add much alcohol to the dish.

Yet, even under those circumstances, Sensei Mafuyu Kirisu got drunk. Renz hadn't realized it at the time; her face was just slightly flushed, and since the dish only contained a small amount of alcohol for flavoring, Renz didn't think anyone could get drunk from it. Mistaking a seemingly "sober" Sensei Mafuyu Kirisu for merely tasting the alcohol in the dish, she asked Renz for more...

That's when the unexpected happened. Sensei Mafuyu Kirisu, drinking relentlessly, completely lost her composure in Renz's apartment. Gulping down drinks, she poured out her recent frustrations at school, complaining about a certain student who wasn't studying properly and just wasting time at school. She had said a few words to the student, only to be told to "mind her own business," which made her feel very wronged.

She didn't want to bother with the student anymore, but she also feared the student would go down the wrong path and ruin their own life. Renz listened to her grievances for a long time. Then, after finishing her meal and drinks, Sensei Mafuyu Kirisu "thudded" to the floor in Renz's house, falling asleep "unconscious." No matter how much Renz called her, she wouldn't wake up.

Renz spent half the night looking for her keys, wanting to send her home, but then he worried about a drunk Mafuyu Kirisu having an accident alone in her apartment. So, he simply washed her face and let her and Mashiro Shiina rest in the same room for the night. If anything sudden happened, Mashiro could come find him.

This was the consequence of being a "one-cup wonder" who also loved to drink. After that night, Sensei Mafuyu Kirisu gave Renz a renewed impression, showing him another side of the responsible and principled Sensei.

"That's enough for my self-introduction," Mafuyu Kirisu said, crossing her arms. "Now is your club's free activity time. I hope you don't waste it. Since you're all here as cooking club enthusiasts, put some effort into your cooking!" As she walked past Renz, she lowered her voice and said, "Thank you for yesterday. And please, keep it a secret for me," she added, her pretty face slightly red.

For Mafuyu Kirisu, the incident was quite embarrassing. Eating free food at a student's house, tasting the alcohol in the dish, then suddenly getting a craving for more drinks. She never imagined she'd collapse after just a few sips. Although she couldn't remember what she said while intoxicated, it must have been something "silly."

Not only that, she even slept in Renz's apartment. She had apologized to Renz that morning and asked him to keep the incident private, not letting it spread around school. But she still felt a bit uneasy, so she added another reminder here.

Renz nodded lightly. He wasn't the type to gossip. Mafuyu Kirisu was still a very good Sensei. As he watched Mafuyu Kirisu leave, the previously quiet cooking club finally buzzed with some noise. Renz looked around. The club members were Miyuki Shirogane, Masuzu Natsukawa, Meiko Shiraki, and Chika Fujiwara. Including himself, there were five people.

Masuzu Natsukawa was someone Miyuki Shirogane had "picked up" along the way, who joined the club just to fill numbers. Renz had a very bad impression of her, so he didn't really want to talk to her. Chika Fujiwara's family seemed to be very wealthy.

As for Meiko Shiraki, Renz was even less familiar with her, only knowing that she was the vice-president of the Disciplinary Committee, skilled in hand-to-hand combat, a "tough woman."

Renz wanted to find an apprentice for his ramen shop. After much thought, the President (Miyuki Shirogane) was indeed the best choice. Poor family background, excellent academic performance, and a certain talent in everything. His unique ramen recipe wasn't particularly difficult and didn't require too much ramen-making skill; it relied on the unique sauce and broth.

Miyuki Shirogane only needed to know the basics of making ramen, and with the broth he provided, he could help manage the ramen shop. The question was, how to "trick" him into it?

As he pondered, the first person to speak was actually the one Renz was least familiar with, Meiko Shiraki, the vice-president of the Disciplinary Committee. She asked curiously, "Renz-kun, you were one of the guest chefs invited to that Totsuki Academy friendly match, weren't you?"

Was I... recognized?

"Yes, that was me," Renz said, surprised. He had always thought people from the Disciplinary Committee were fierce and cold to everyone, but it seemed the rumors weren't entirely accurate.

"Meiko is a cooking enthusiast," Chika Fujiwara, the social butterfly, said with a bright smile. "Her cooking is especially delicious too. She was quite surprised when she heard about you, Renz-kun."

"I have some face blindness," Meiko Shiraki said. "I also watched the episode where the God's Tongue judged. I thought you were just a namesake, but I didn't expect it to be the same person."

"So, our cooking club actually has someone who genuinely wants to cook seriously?" Renz was very moved by this. He had thought everyone was just there to fill a quota.

"Hold on!" Miyuki Shirogane spread his hands. "I also want to cook seriously." This was true. Cooking himself saved a lot of money! Buying groceries and ingredients and cooking himself was the cheapest way to eat. Ordering takeout or eating at restaurants meant paying not just for raw materials but also for processing fees and labor costs. Some places charged so much that it made Miyuki Shirogane's heart bleed.

"President Shirogane is also interested in cooking?" Renz asked.

"Yes," Miyuki Shirogane nodded. Not only did it save money, but seeing others' satisfaction when they ate his homemade dishes also gave him a great sense of accomplishment.

"President Shirogane, would you be interested in being my apprentice?" Renz, being direct, seeing an opportunity, immediately got to the point. "I opened a ramen shop, and you know, I can't handle it all by myself. If you come to my shop as my apprentice, I'll teach you how to make ramen. As for the salary, don't worry, I won't cheat you," Renz added.

Renz didn't care about the small amount of money. The main issue was that he couldn't possibly manage the ramen shop alone with his other commitments.
