A strange, foreign sensation bloomed in Cheng Dong's butt. Confusion flashed in his mind, but before he could even react, an overwhelming surge of spiritual qi burst into his insides like a flood breaking through a crumbling dam.

After finishing off Cheng Dong, Feng Fan flew toward Xue Feng, his expression sharp. "What the hell are those things?" he asked, pointing toward the grotesque corpses of the zombies that had been attacking the guards protecting his wives.
Xue Feng's face twisted into a grimace. "It's probably the work of the Soulsucker Demon Venerable cult. But the one I fought just now was from the Nightmare Demon Venerable cult," he said, his voice heavy with concern. "It seems they're working together for this invasion... but nothing about this situation makes sense."
He paused, surveying the chaotic battlefield around them with a frown.
"It's been a long time," Xue Feng continued, "since Red has seen a full-scale attack like this. I don't know why they chose now of all times. And even if they did, how did they manage to throw the entire city into chaos so quickly? This shouldn't have been possible, not without inside help or overwhelming force."
He clenched his fists, frustration bleeding into his tone. "First, we need to find the Transcending Tribulation experts assigned to defend Starlight City. Their absence is too strange. Without them, holding the city will only get harder."
Feng Fan nodded, but his mind was already racing ahead. Rather than waste time searching for missing experts, he had another idea. "No," he said, voice firm. "Instead of chasing after them, tell me where the array core of Starlight City is?"
Xue Feng blinked, caught off guard.
"If I can reach the core," Feng Fan continued, a cold glint in his eyes, "I might be able to take control of the city's defenses myself. With the city's grand array under my command, we can crush the invaders."
Xue Feng's eyes lit up with understanding. 'Of course, with a tier 9 Array Master here, why would we need to rely on Transcending Tribulation experts to handle this situation?'
He nodded decisively. "All defensive arrays that protect cities under the Intergalactic Council's jurisdiction are located at the heart of the city, where the strongest expert resides. Follow me, Senior Feng," Xue Feng said, already moving toward the central location where the array core was likely to be.
Everyone on the scene followed right behind him. The zombies had ceased their pursuit for the time being, giving the group a brief window to escape. But, despite this, the girls and guards chose to remain close to Feng Fan and Xue Feng. After all, there was no safer place to be than near a tier 9 Array Master and a Transcending Tribulation expert.
The zombie outbreak had thrown Starlight City into utter chaos. Half of the buildings were reduced to rubble, and the situation was even worse at the city's heart. What had once been a grand district, home to the powerful and wealthy, was now little more than a pile of debris.
"The core of the array should be around here, but I'm not sure exactly where…" Xue Feng muttered, scanning the area. As an Array Master, he should have been able to pinpoint its location easily, yet, to his surprise, he couldn't see it.
"I've found it. Follow me!" Feng Fan said confidently. As soon as he arrived, he activated his spiritual qi vision and immediately understood why Xue Feng was having trouble locating the array core.
Within a few meters, Feng Fan disappeared from Xue Feng's sight, prompting the latter to quickly catch up. The moment he saw Feng Fan's path, realization dawned on him.
"An illusion array!" Xue Feng exclaimed, his eyebrows shooting up in surprise. Without hesitation, he followed Feng Fan into the illusion array, the guards and girls trailing closely behind.
Normally, Xue Feng wouldn't have ventured into an illusion array without proper preparation. Even a tier 8 Array Master like him knew that could be a suicidal move. But with Feng Fan, a tier 9 Array Master, leading the way, why should he hesitate?
Inside the illusion array, the scene shifted. Feng Fan found himself standing in the middle of a volcano, the heat radiating through his clothes, making him sweat despite knowing it was all an illusion.
Even though it was a tier 8 illusion array, Feng Fan's spiritual qi vision saw through it effortlessly. He took five steps to his right, then delivered a punch that shattered the volcanic image like broken glass.
The illusion dissolved, and six cultivators materialized in front of him.
The leader, a man with a seemingly normal body but an incredibly deformed face, sneered. His appearance was enough to send a chill down anyone's spine after just a glance.
"And who might you be?" he asked, his voice low and menacing.
