My Techniques are a bit off

Chapter 361: Chapter 361: Always You...

Until the moment he was pressed down by the Complete-Body Susanoo and sealed away, Fourth-Madara was utterly at a loss for words.

He had an Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan, and his junior's strength wasn't really inferior to his own. Originally, he thought he could once again savor a thrilling fight. Then—

A random brat suddenly appeared, conjured some bizarre weapon via summoning to slice through his Susanoo. Countless strange shadows—very likely Yin Release creations—swarmed him, each with speed and strength matching his own. That clearly capable junior didn't show an ounce of a "true expert's pride" and piled on the group beating.

All in just two minutes, and he was successfully wrapped up tight by a sealing scroll.

"Now that I think about it, I really don't have any particularly good jutsu to deal with Edo Tensei."

Drawing the Edo Tensei ritual lines, Link pondered.

Of the jutsu he possessed that were effective against Edo Tensei bodies, the best was Five-Elements Seal. But once you brand an Edo Tensei with Five-Elements Seal, it effectively turns them into a ridiculously explosive chain reaction of talismans. Immortal body plus infinite gathering of natural energy—if he imagined how it might blow up, the whole concept was beyond bizarre.

Other ways of handling Edo Tensei revolve around Swamp of the Underworld or his own mutated Edo Tensei, neither of which target the body or the jutsu directly but rather assault the soul. That works fine if it's an enemy, but if the other side was a controlled ally, that's a headache.

After a little more thought, he said while painting the lines on the scroll,

"I'll go help out."

Main-World Sasuke had quickly rested up and was controlling his Susanoo, flying off from the Mountain Graveyard.

Link felt a bit uneasy, dispatching a few dozen shadows to follow. Then he patiently sealed the unresisting, speechless Fourth-Madara.

Before long, word came back:

[Musashi no Kuni]—the "Land of Musashi," a very obviously Japanese-sounding place. Could be a war-torn era?

He only guessed casually. Indeed, they'd had random weird place names before. During earlier experiments, the Main-World Orochimaru had ended up in some vague "[Z City]."

It was difficult to figure out what kind of world it was. Possibly Link had seen it in a show in his previous life, but not all details remained. His "golden-finger" memory only clearly remembered the Naruto series' content. For other anime, novels, or games, he definitely didn't recall everything.

Currently, it seemed that unstoppable spiritual power in him remembered everything about Naruto, but not everything else.

"No matter," Link thought, stepping a few times, bounding atop the Mountain Drake's head, then heading to the main battlefield.

On the main battlefield, Sasuke and the Edo Tensei Madara had been fighting fiercely. Countless White Zetsu thronged the field, chaos everywhere. Just a quick glance:

Main-World Sasuke had momentarily retreated, controlling Susanoo to swat an endless wave of White Zetsu like Whac-A-Mole. Very crude but highly effective.

Under normal circumstances, a single person wasn't enough to turn the tide, nor were two or three. With so many White Zetsu lurking underground, shapeshifting, and infiltrating, plus a bunch of Edo Tensei experts each at least at the level of a top-tier jōnin, the battlefield was an utter mess.

In the original "Fourth War," Naruto singled-handedly changed the entire situation by unleashing the Nine-Tails mode. But in this Fourth World scenario, the Fourth War began half a year early, leaving that world's Naruto no time to power up.

Sure, the two travelers—Final-Hokage Sasuke and Main-World Sasuke—were formidable, but their chakra was finite, and they lacked strong sensor powers for large-scale coverage. Splitting into countless clones to support an entire allied army just wasn't feasible.

Given enough time, they could no doubt handle the situation eventually.

As for Fourth Obito? He had fled.

So be it. It's not my problem if some outsiders die in the crossfire.

He just wanted to quickly wrap up things and share with Sasuke the events of these last two days.

From high above, Link noticed the battlefield so unbelievably chaotic. He let out a sigh:

"Sure enough, clearing them out single-handedly is too slow."

He was disinclined to watch the battles. Immediately, he spread out his black shadows in a sweeping wave:

With his newly soared body stats, the Black Shadow Army was unbelievably massive. If you consider a ballpark figure, it should be around fifty thousand. They were fewer in number than the one hundred thousand White Zetsu, yet infinitely stronger in actual combat ability. Among them were about two thousand "Eight Gates Shadows," capable of interfering even at Six Paths–level battles.

Yes, physically, the shadows were vulnerable. If they were up against a true Six Paths-level fighter's large-scale ninjutsu, they'd easily get wiped out in droves. But with their astonishing speed, they could usually dodge. Their mobility was maxed, so swarming up en masse was more than enough to replicate or even exceed that famed "Night Elephant" volley from Might Guy.

Hence Link felt no rush to continue powering up. In his eyes, with the world in a "peaceful age," he had enough strength.

And indeed, once the Shadow Army landed, they spread across the battlefield, quickly assisting the Allied Ninja Forces. Edo Tensei bodies couldn't be killed, but the ninja could handle sealing. The White Zetsu, though, were trivial.

The entire battlefield fell silent within a minute. So swift a victory.

Consider that a rehearsal for the Fourth Ninja War in the Main World, he mused.

Compared to that, the Four Kage (minus Konoha's) were definitely weaker. No White Zetsu, no Edo Tensei. He guessed the fight there would end even more quickly—maybe thirty seconds.

If he wanted to put on a grand, stylish display, he had better spend more time on a dramatic entrance.

Thinking so, Link exhaled, his Mountain Drake flapping its wings. He headed to see the "Five Kage" of this world.

Because the Fourth Raikage had impulsively attacked and destroyed a few of his restraining shadows—leading to them subduing the reanimated former Five Kage—he had to meet them personally.

"That Fourth Raikage's brashness—always him, huh?"

He inwardly sighed.
